(Alright, lads and lasses. Here we go.)

 

The yellow eyes of Heartless Shadows were the only thing visible in the dark cave. There was a bigger Heartless in another chamber that had been terrorizing a local town, the perfect target for an aspiring hero. A perfect location.

Suddenly, the Heartless Shadows sensed a heart in the cave with them. They began to swarm for this treat, but were met by the crackle of lightning and flames. Soon, not even the light of Heartless eyes illuminated the darkness. A mechanical light snapped on after it was set up on a wall. Below it, where the light pooled, a poster was put up. It told those that read it to a place to go and a time to be there.

The place, The Old Mansion in Twilight Town.

The time stated was one word. Now.

The figure that put the poster up stepped back to look at it. It was there for the bold and skilled to find. If they could reach it, they could help save the worlds. Of course, this poster and others like it were for those the figure had missed. Personal invitations had already been sent. It just remained to see who would come.

The figure stepped fully out of the pool of light and was gone from that world.

 

 

Standing in the main foyer of the Old Mansion in Twilight Town was Theek Shalma. He began to tap his foot, trying to contain his impatience. There were many things to be done, but he couldn't put off what was going to happen. It was too importance, too big an opportunity. He only hoped his waiting would be rewarded.

"I intend to go back to simpler research." Ienzo answered. "I know Even in perticular has several theories he wants to tinker with. What you do after...is something you decide for yourself.""And that is only if the worlds are left in a similar state after this 'Keyblade War.'" Dilan added. "Even if the side representing Light were to win, we still don't know if the worlds won't be altered in someway."Ienzo nodded."Perhaps it is better to say, we have no plan for beyond this coming war and are hoping for the future." He said.He smiled at Lumiara."We'll, in any case, welcome. We had best..."He stopped and tasted the air."Even is back." He commented. "That could make things awkward."Even strained venom at Celas."Why you-" he began, but stopped when Aeleus put a large hand on his shoulder."Though we will be working contrary to there plans, direct confrintation with the Organization is not advised." the tall man put in. "Most of the members will have power that out strips our own. We will disrupt their plans and make sure they do need get aid, direct or indirect, from others steeped in darkness."Even appeared to have calmed down, but still was not giving Celas a nice look."I suppose you already have a target, then?"

 

"Hmph" was Celas's only response towards Even.Then, she looked at the Silent Hero, listening carefully to what he was saying."Aeleus is right, direct confrontation with current Organization XIII is not advised, even the Hero of Light was unable to win, he almost fell into the dark abyss if not for the help of the Hero of Twilight." she crossed her arms. " Former Keyblade Master Yen Sid knows that the Warriors from the Realm of Light need actual Keyblade Masters to face the 13 Darknesses and not just simple, weak-minded Keyblade wielders."What would be the best course of action was a mystery for Celas."But one thing is very clear. No matter what, no matter when or how. There is going to be a new Keyblade War and the balance between the Light and Darkness will be disrupted before it can be regained. Sora or Xehanort, it matters not who the winner will be. Organization XIII, the Hero of Light or even us, the only thing that matters is that Kingdom Hearts needs to return so the balance can be restored."Celas then looked at Even."Oh Even, everyone in this room currently has a target they want to dispose of. But it matters not, at least for me. Once we end this ridiculous charade all of you can actually kill each other if that's what you want. In the mean time, you really need to cooperate with each other or else this little group will be doomed." Celas was looking around the room, taking notice of everyone there, her gold eyes analyzing everyone slowly and carefully.

"Soon." Dilan answered Lumiara. "We've heard through channels that someone is making a move on Radiant Garden. Possible one of Maleficent's crew."

A smiled with no humor in it crept across Dilan's face.

"And if someone like that is making a big move, Xehanort will have someone there to watch."

"Making sure what ever is planned fails will be your primary mission." Ienzo added. "Identifying Xehanort's agent would be a pleasant bonus."

He glanced out the door and gave Cody a wink when he saw he was close to the door.

"Now if you will excuse me, I must see to our other guests."

He turned to head out when Dilan said his name.

"Yes?" He replied, turning to face his colleague.

"I managed to deal with Theek and keep this intact." Dilan explained, producing the orb Theek had used to summon Heartless.

He threw it at Ienzo, who caught it and studied it.

"Excellent." The Cloaked Schemer said.

He entered the main foyer.

 

Even opened his mouth to give Celas a verble scathing, when Ienzo walked up to him and held out the orb.

"Will this work?" The young scientist asked.

Even, his previous anger towards Celas forgot in the light of science to be done, studied the orb closely.

"Should do, rather well." He finally said, though he continued to study it.

Aeleus regarded Celas for sometime, with an odd look in his eye. He then switched his attention to Ienzo.

"Your audience." He told

Without a pause, Ienzo turned to take in the whole group.

"As I'm sure Aeleus has said, we're here to even some odds for the Heroes of Light." He began. "But we are not just going to take over and tell you would to do. We are trying to get things organized so that we can all be more effective. Some of you have already been fighting, so already have leads and objectives."

He speard his arms out.

"Now you have allies. People you can call on for support. Those of you who have not joined the fight, now you have ways to do so. People you can learn from, people who can show you where to go."

(I'm scared to leave this thing for a day or two. Hey Javelin. Can Kai end up following Nocturne and Luna? It'd be interesting enough....)

"Helping the previous enemies, going against many local junkies, and hoping the Seven Lights will be enough in the end. Tough odds for the Light, but it's always been that way." Musing to herself while eyeing the crowd of people. Who would she aid, what would they be doing, and how would she be of service? "Ah, the loner of the group."

A sharp, but small tingle went through his arm. "Valor, that's it right?"

"Yeah. Pretty quiet aren't yah? Thought it might be a god idea to pair up with you. I don't really know anyone either, at least here. After all, the point of this is so all of us can work together." Goals, leads, even set plans in motion.

"I guess, but a party of two isn't very stong. Maybe we can join with another small group, it'd be helpful."

Grinning at the boy in front her while nodding back. "Perfect idea. Put your mind into gear and we ought a be a nice help for the Light and all those who stand by it."

Celas noticed Aeleus was watching her, an odd look in his eyes."It's hard to known what he is thinking" she thought to herself, keeping a calm face. "Oh well, it's not important."When Ienzo began talking, Celas' mind wandered off."So many things to do and so little time. The Remnants of Land of Departure and the white rooms, the Chamber of Waking and the sleeping boy, the blue-haired Keyblade Master lost in the Realm of Darkness, the Keyblade Graveyard, Kingdom Hearts.""Now you have allies. People you can call on for support. Those of you who have not joined the fight, now you have ways to do so. People you can learn from, people who can show you where to go." Ienzo had said to everyone."I wonder if that would be possible for some people" Celas said. " Some of them are not happy to work with someone from the Darkness. Some, if not all of the denizens of the Realm of Light think that us denizens from the Darkness are evil" Celas shrugged. "But it's up to them. I really don't care that much"

Lumiara had been given his assignment, although he was resentful of the fact he needed to follow orders he knew it was better than the alternative. 

He was lucky to come back from his previous mistake.

 

He walked over to Cody and asked Ienzo, "Shall I take the Keyblade wielder with me? Two sets of eyes are better than one," and he looked at Cody smirking, "and the boy could use some action."

 

Truth is he needed to see how the Keyblade worked in person if he were able able to wield one. He had seen it in action in the hands of Sora, but that wasn't enough. 

Cade decided that this would be a good time to break his silence and tell evoryone what he knew. "Hey guys, I may have a lead, but it's merely a rumer." He then paused to make sure that people were paying attention to him before he continued.

Her homeworld. Cody looked at Luna, waiting for her orders as the other Organization members added to the intelligence report. "And if someone like that is making a big move, Xehanort will have someone there to watch." "Making sure what ever is planned fails will be your primary mission. Identifying Xehanort's agent would be a pleasant bonus." "Don't expect me to overachieve anything, Zexion" he whispered under his breath, noticing him winking in the process. You're all lucky Luna is keeping me on a leash, otherwise this mansion wouldn't be standing once I'm through with all of you. The rest can be acceptable losses. As Lumiara headed in his direction, he slid his right hand behind his back, ready to draw out his keyblade and commence a swift retaliation if needed be. "Shall I take the Keyblade wielder with me? Two sets of eyes are better than one, and the boy could use some action."

 

"That won't be necessary," Luna replied as she placed her arm between him and Cody, "Besides, he's following me for now so I'll be calling the shots for him. I think it would be best if I keep him away from you and the other Organization members. It was hard enough keeping him from attacking you on the spot." Before giving him the go-ahead to head out and start diving into another battleground on a distant world, she decided to stay a while to hear what the rest of the people assembled in the Mansion had to say.

The two ions were busy watching, just watching.

Well, Xion was. Zion was busy nuzzling her neck, being totally NOT a Keyblade Master.

"Well, I guess we should join up with those two-" Gazing softly at Luna and Noturne before her smile grew wider. "You wanted to anyways. That look tells it all. So-" Pulling on the shorter teens sleeve while Valor's smile grew wider.

"Wait what-!" Half heartily he tried to get her to let go. If only for the sake of his nervousness. "Then you ask them-" Kai let out a low whine before Valor stopped and let go.

"Fine then, but you get to do the talking later on." Nervous much? Hopefully he'll get over it soon. "Yo, Luna right? Mind if we join you guys? I don't think we'll last long with a group of two long ranged fighters." Was he blushing? Man this ought a be the best adventure yet. "Well if you don't mind that is. Don't want to cause trouble for anyone though."

Even though Luna knew Cody wouldn't attack without her permission first barring special circumstances, she couldn't help but feel the need to restrain him in a way. His hand was still behind his back, and the way he positioned his legs suggested that he's one twitch away from causing a mess again in this mansion. As long as the Organization members didn't make any sudden movements she reasoned, he'll have to calm down eventually. She looked over to Zion and Xion, who were busy sharing a rather intimate moment together despite the special crowd that had gathered here. A pain slowly developed within her heart, longing to do the same with a certain other Guardian who just so happens to be right next to her but too hell bent on preemptively striking someone to care. She let off a sigh, knowing that the odds of doing just that were practically non-existent but still decided to take mental notes on how they did it, just in case her fantasy somehow manages to come true.

 

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Kai and Valor approaching. She looked back at Cody to warn him, but saw an interesting phenomenon: As soon as he spotted Kai, he relaxed his right hand which now dangled off on his side. His right eye glowed faintly through the one-sided sunglass that covered it as he slightly lowered his guard, just enough to see that he was relaxed somewhat, but still alert and ready for a strike. He only LOOKS like her, and already you ease up when you see this guy? I can't even talk you out of it, yet he does it without even trying. You almost blew-up from rage when you mistakened him for- Her mental rant came to a spectacular crash as Valor decided to talk to her. "Yo, Luna right? Mind if we join you guys? I don't think we'll last long with a group of two long ranged fighters." She looked at Kai, noticing him blushing as the abrupt introduction continued. "Well if you don't mind that is. Don't want to cause trouble for anyone though." She thought about the offer for a moment, factoring in Kai and Cody's rather unusual behavior around him. I've never seen him act that way. Just for that moment, he had... emotion.

 

A smile formed as a realization occurred to her: Something happened between Kairi and Cody. The moment of sheer blinding rage demonstrated when he had mistaken Kai could only be achieved by someone who cared really deeply for the person in question. Something so emotionally powerful happened between him and Kairi, that she somehow managed to break him and make him taste the happier side of the emotional spectrum. Luna decided to test just how much she had affected him. "Hey Cody," she started, "What do you think about having these two people joining us?" He looked at Kai, then to Valor before returning his gaze back to Kai. "Ranged fighters? I... guess I can work with that. I can always use more ranged supporters, though close ranged combatants would be appreciated." Her mouth was slightly agape from hearing his response, completely unexpected and gave her the scope of how much Kairi had affected him. You would normally never say that, Nocturne. Complete strangers and you're ok with it, no sense of suspicion whatsoever and all because of this one who looks like her.  What did she do to you? She turned around to face Valor and Kai. "Alrighty then. Welcome aboard! He's Cody, and it looks like you already know my name." she said with a smile. In the back of her mind, she knew that Cody wouldn't be himself with Kai around. Maybe, just maybe she could learn what happened between them, and also break his discipline one more time just for her.

"The king told me to keep an eye on you. Bad things are happening and if Xehanort managed to pick you off, then there'd be problems. So, what's the first thing to do? Unless you need a lead or rumor to help start off well." She thought about the best course of action to take before replying back, "Well before we go fight the darkness,  at least tell me your names. That should put Cody here at ease."

"A problem quite a few of us are having to deal with." Ienzo said to Celas.

He gave Cody a meaningful look.

"Anybody interested in going with Dilan and Lumiara are welcome to do so, and would be appreciated."

Even shot a glare at Lumiara when he realized that the Graceful Assassin was there. Only a look from Ienzo stopped an explosion. Even stared at the younger scientist, then composed himself. Aeleus stepped over to Oswald.

"Your expertise is needed at Disney Castle." he said. "Maleficent wants something your brother has. Her previous attempts have failed, but she will explore other options. We are going to find the holes she can use and plug them."

Even disentangled himself from studying the orb and gave Cade his attention.

"Well, what have you got?" he demanded. "Speak up, man."

"Xion." Ienzo called out to the former number XIV. "I would like to speak with you privately, if you be so kind."

He turned to walk towards the foot of the stairs, but paused.

"And Cody." he said, then turned to face the guardian. "It's Ienzo. Not Zexion."
