For me,Shadow The Hedgehog (the game) always symbolize for me the grim dark direction that the gaming industry has taken since.
Most developers and gamers seems to think that the term "Hardcore" only means you should play dark and bloody games and that colorful bright games are for pussies.
I like the character of Shadow but they completely f.ucked it up in this game.
Despite being Sonic's evil doppelganger in Sonic Adventure 2,Shadow was still fits in the Sonic Universe and he used to say some jokes about his enemies.
But in Shadow The Hedgehog(the game) Sega thought it would be a good idea to turn an awesome character into an emo grunt whining about his past and how he should do this and how he should do that.
I wasn't offended by the gameplay since I liked the guns to some extent.
I was offended so much by the stupid non-sensical story telling that makes you think you have an impact on the story with multiple endings........UNTIL YOU DISCOVER THERE IS A FINAL STORY THAT SAYS:F,UCK YOU ,ALL WHAT YOU'VE DONE WAS NOTHING.
I'm ashamed to admit that I used to like this game because I was so in love with Sonic back then to the point I saw Sonic as the most awesome franchise ever...................................until this abomination of humanity from the depth of hell from Hades's gaming library was released
oh god.....OH GOD....TAKE IT AWAY...KILL IT...KILL IT WITH FIRE...KILL IT WITH A NUCLEAR MISSLE,KIIIIILL IIIIIIIIIIT.
Please Sega,don't you ever,EVER,repeat this awful mistake again
