It is six o'clock AM in Clock Town. Even at this early hour, there is energy growing in the town. The carpenters are hard at work, trying to get the festival tower finished. The soldiers are changing their shifts, with the night guards taking their leave so that others might guard the gates during the day. This is particularly good news to the evening guard of the East gate, who leaves his post shaking his head, sweating and looking not at all rested or relaxed. Wearily, he stumbles into the Milk Bar, hoping that the owner will be so kind as to fix him breakfast.

In South Clock Town, a boy in a yellow Keaton Mask runs swiftly down the flight of stairs from the laundry pool, deposits a letter in the postbox, and then hurriedly runs back the way he came. Only a few seconds after, one of the carpenters also approaches the postbox. Looking warily left and right, and making sure the gate guard is not looking, he puts a letter into the postbox as well, before scurrying off to try and look busy. Though, as usual, he scowls at the recruiting poster of the guard before getting back to work.

In West Clock Town, a strange, grinning man (wearing a white shirt and blue pants) prances into the city. Shielding his face as he passes the guard, he places a letter in the postbox as well, and starts to move back towards the gate. But, as if thinking of something more pressing, he decides to linger in town a little longer.

In North Clock Town, the local gang of five children, known as the Bombers, have assembled over by the tree next to the slide, and look to be discussing something rather important.

But, of course, even with night officially over, the moon still looms overhead, glaring down at the Town. If anything, it appears to be bigger than it was the day before.

What do you do on this morning?

Rick is seen at West Clock Town, looking up into the sky and at the moon. He is very interested in it for very strange reasons currently unknown. He looks on at it with a smile on his face as he speaks. "Hmm... I wonder if the moon will bring any surprises today..."

while jack is still exploring this town, he notices the terrifying moon in east clock town and nearly has a heart attack. then he shoots arrows up its nose

Wearily, Cid sat in the milk bar with his feet propped up on the counter and his hat tipped down. He sipped on Chateau Romani with one hand on his cup and another on the hilt of the sword. He'd been here every day since he was cursed to the infinite cycle, starting the repeating three days until the apocalypse with a nice drink. Although his routine got old, Chateau Romani never seemed to... Tapping the hilt of his Platinum-encrusted Gilded Sword with his index finger gently, Cid started to count down in his head. "5....4....3...2...1." The guard stumbled in and asked the owner to make him breakfast, just like he had done hundreds and hundreds of times... technically this his first, but the usual for Cid. Cid's hand remained on the sword because any minute now, the thief would be here too....  Cid's ears perked up as he heard the door to the milk bar quietly opening. Nobody else appeared to notice, but this was probably because Cid was looking out for it. The thief Sakon stealthily slid into the bar, tiptoeing his way and trying to avoid detection by the customers. However, Cid knew he was there. He'd been there every single time and would continue to be there until Cid could find away out of the infinite cycle. Gently, Sakon's fingers slid into Cid's back pocket, attempting to steal his rupees. Cid ripped the sword out of its sheath, launched backwards by pushing off the counter via his feet, and flipped over Sakon, bringing the sword up to his neck as he restrained his arm from behind him. Everyone turned and gasped, and the band stopped playing their song. Cid began to speak loudly, "Sakon, I'm accepting of all kinds of people, but there's one type I can't stand... thieves." Cid looked over at the band and signaled for them to continue playing, and they did. Releasing Sakon from his hold and throwing him on the floor, Cid spoke quietly, "I don't know how many times I'm going to have to keep telling you this." Sakon looked at him in fear from the floor, as if Cid was crazy. The reality was, this event had occurred so many times and each time Cid did the same thing, but Sakon never remembered when the cycle repeated. Nobody did... Sakon quickly scuttled out of the Milk Bar, off to plan his next crime, taking no heed from Cid's words. After Sakon was gone, Cid put his sword back in its sheath and sighed, tossed some rupees on the counter and walked out of the door. Hopefully he could get a glimpse at the kid dressed in green before it was too late... Cid suddenly noticed something was off, it wasn't the exact same way as the previous cycles... The Deku businessman was already in his flower. He would never show up until Cid approached the flower, but for some reason he was there. Someone else had already been there! Cid ran over to the Deku, who offered to sell him the deed to his property for the usual Moon's Tear. "No thank you," Cid declined, "But I was hoping you could tell me who was here already." The Deku thought for a second then, after remembering, replied excitedly, "Oh it was a fellow dressed in green! Pointy ears and a blue instrument he carried around!" Cid's eyes widened and he yelped, "Thank you so much!" He gave the Deku businessman a hug, the Deku embarrassed replying, "My pleasure!' Cid scuttled off and began to whistle his favorite tune, The Song of Healing. With the presence of the fabled Hero of Time and his Ocarina this time around, perhaps Cid could save Termina this cycle, and heal the lands once and for all. Occupied by his thoughts, Cid bumped into a man gazing at the sky with a grin on his face, "My bad, Rick," Cid quickly apologized, then quickly covered his mouth after realizing what he'd said. Technically, he should not have known the name of the man yet, but through the experience of the previous cycles he already did. Things were different this cycle already, and Cid was both happy, yet nervous for what time had in his store for him.

OOC: Just as a heads up, I'm playing the NPCs of town. So guys like Sakon, the Deku Scrub business man, etc. If you could edit this so as to keep their reactions open, I would be much obliged.

I will let this one slide, yes.

Chielo marched through the fields of Termina until she came across Clock Town.

"Finally, I think this is the place." She muttered to herself.

Entering the east wing of Clock Town, she came across the milk bar.

Reaching into her pocket, she realized she had no more rupees. "Darn, I'm out of money. I'm too young to go into the milk bar anyways. But I feel so weak..."

Slowly making her way into the bar, she crawled past people until she saw a full bottle of milk. Quickly snatching the bottle, she made a run for the door, and began running towards the center of the town. When she was sure she lost her pursuers, she sat against a wall and began to drink.

"Ah, much better." She said to herself.

Kedu looked up and saw a moon. It's souless eyes piercing through him. Kedu kept his calm. He then suddenly cracked. "WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO? WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN?! WHAT?! WHAT?! WHAT?!" Kedu then breathed slowly. "It's gonna be okay," he repeated. He checked to see how many rupees he had. He had 60. "That's not too much of a loss. Then again, I have my Amulet." Kedu twirled around in circles. "I must guard this place with my life! Even if I must die!" Kedu announced.

Remis walked down the path of the southern part of Clock Town, a blue tenchcoat trailing a bit behind him as a gust of wind below the lower part past his legs. Swiping some brown hair out of his face as he smoked a thin cigar; he sighed.

"The moon." He whispered, "There is..something odd about it. Far too close. The gravity should be crushing us all." He said, stopping to look up at the menacing celestial object. It radiated an evil energy, but it didn't faze Remis. He blinked his red-colored eyes, fixating his glasses before resuming his walk.

Cindi spent the morning making friends by the clock tower and watching the people in the training grounds. She was a bit freaked out by the moon, but decided there was nothing she could do.

"Woah, now!" As soon as Jack let fly his arrow at the moon, the East Gate guard hurried forward, shaking his spear in frantic concern. "What do you think you're doing, letting arrows off like that in town? Someone could get hurt! I've half a mind to confiscate that weapon, if you don't ease off!" Then, realizing that he didn't recognize the younger man in front of him, added "Just... don't do it again, all right?"

Feeling a little bad for dampening a visitor's experience of the town (and mindful that it was part of every soldier's duty to make the town look as good as possible, within reason), the soldier tried to diffuse the situation by laughing. "Besides, it's not like you could hit the moon any ways. It's too far..." He trailed off, the laughter dying along with his words. '"Well," he finally finished, "don't shoot any more arrows, please." With that, he returned to his station.

"Easy with that, Bremor! Don't go dropping it!"

From where Chielo was sitting, three carpenters were passing by, already sweating though the sun had barely risen over the walls. Two carpenters were holding either end of a long plank of wood, and the third was walking alongside them, trying to make sure no one was injured in their wake.

"Steady!" The supervisor chastised once again, as the plank nearly bumped into the corner of a nearby building. "Don't go damaging the wood! We've only got so much, you know."

"Herm," grunted the carpenter carrying the front of the plank. "Wonder what's taking the shipment so long?"

"Well, trust me, ol' Mutoh is going to have a word with those guys when they finally do arrive!" returned the man on the other end. "They were only going to the Southern Swamps, shouldn't have taken them this long."

"I've already talked to Mutoh," said the supervisor (absentmindedly puffing his chest out in pride, as one did when they were on speaking terms with a man of stature such as Mutoh). "He says that if worse comes to worse, the shipment of wood should be coming up sometime tonight. But that's no excuse for slacking! So let's move!"

His mouth dry from the amount of talking he had been doing, the supervisor momentarily stopped, smacking his lips to try and cajole some moisture back into his tongue. Sighing grumpily, he turned his head and noticed Chielo for the first time, drinking her milk. "Oh, brother," he sighed, looking at the bottle of fresh milk. "I could go for one of those right now myself! Say, aren't you a bit young to be getting into Chateau?"

Feeling more than a little anxious, Sakon swiftly jogged through town, his prancing gait tempered with concern as he continued to look over his shoulder. Who on earth had that man been? Sakon was certain he hadn't laid eyes on him before, but that wasn't the thing that was concerning him the most. The man had called him thief, and that was the sort of thing that got around fast. Maybe he ought to lay low for the rest of the day... at least until that evening.

Planning to exit the city via the West Gate (the shops there meant that there was usually enough of a crowd to blend into), Sakon was passing through the South side of the town when, out of the corner of his eye, he spied the sort of thing that no king of thieves could resist. There, glancing up at the moon, and with blissful unawareness of other necessary surroundings, was Remis. What other people might pay no attention to (for, after all, who wouldn't be staring up at the moon with a great deal of concern?), Sakon saw opportunity, for a distracted person was a person not thinking about their wallet.

Of course, there were a few problems. The carpenters were hard at work in the square, and on top of the Deku Merchant being irritatingly awake, Sakon could see that there was a girl by the clock tower, and that number of witnesses was a hard thing to play down. For now, Sakon would bide his time: prancing with his grin now restored to his face, he stood by the post box next to the ramp leading to the laundry pool, pretending to look at the work on the festival tower with great interest.

In West Clock Town, the door of the Sword Training Dojo creaked open. Out walked the long haired Sword Master, who, as proven by the number of people instinctively keeping their distance, was regarded as one of the grumpiest people in town, and not someone looking for idle banter. Yet this local myth of the battle hardened warrior was been undermined by the fact that he was nervously clutching a letter in his hands. He shakily walked over to the postbox, but, before mailing his letter, seemed to think better of it, and quickly ran back into the Dojo, slamming the door on his way.

The clock tower was far quieter than Cindi had expected, with it being the center of events and all, but it was still fun to watch the carpenters at their work. The moon appeared to be getting closer... Cindi decided her mind was playing tricks on her.

Rick eventually went to East Clock Town to look at the moon from there. He is enjoying the view, without being disturbed as he speaks to himself about the moon. "The moon is very interesting when I look at it..."

Chielo laughed at the supervisor.

"With what I've been through, I think I deserve a stiff drink."

She looked to the supervisor, and realizing that he was obviously more thirsty than she was now, handed him the bottle.

"I'm done with it, and I don't like wasting things, so it's yours." She tossed the bottle so he would catch it and picked herself up. She readjusted her fire bracelets and looked around. Stretching, she looked up to see a huge moon.

(Strange, I've never seen a moon this big, especially in the day... And is that a face?)

She brushed the thought away a and looked to the supervisor. "Hey, do you know where a kid like me can go to have a little fun?" She asked.

The supervisor chugged down the bottle of milk, wiping the frothy white foam from his mustache. "Ah, if that wasn't just what I needed..." he said, smiling appreciatively at Chielo. "You're a good kid, you know that? Wait one moment..." From the satchel he wore at his side, he produced a flat-cap. "Just got this new Carpenter's Cap this morning. Never worn before. It's all yours." He handed the cap over to Chielo. "Least I can do for that act of kindness."

Then, rolling his neck, he pondered her other question. "Now, things to do for fun, eh? Well, there's a bunch of games being run in the East side of town. Treasure chest search, shooting gallery, ol' Honey n' Darlings. Oh, and there's those other kids running around. What do they call themselves... Bumblebees? Bunnies? Aw, I don't remember these things. Still, there ought to be a few things to enjoy."

A yelp of surprise sounded sharply as the two other men carrying the plank were coming into conflict with a small dog weaving around their legs. "Oh for the love of..." The supervisor held his palm to his face. "Guess I gotta get back to work. Thanks again, little miss!" Then, jogging after the other workers, continued to holler advice and instructions on how to properly handle carrying a plank of wood.

Kedu charged into the Town. "I will protect yee, VILLAGE! Er...TOWN!" Kedu splatted into a wall. "Ow! OW OW OW OW OOOOOOOW!" Kedu shook his head. "Sometimes I can be an idiot," Kedu muttered. Kedu looked up and stared at the moon.

Remis continued to walk, paying no mind to anyone. He didn't even appear to notice the potential pickpocket that took interest in his distracted appearance.

People that underestimated Remis usually wound up battered, beaten, and suffered a massive ego loss. Remis was that type of man--one who could take your ego and diginity, and turn it into something foolish.

"The entire town seems split...either they are fully aware of the moon's dark aura, or pay it no mind.."

Chielo's hair being very thick, almost afro like, produced two thick ponytails. She turned the cap so that the tongue faced sideways, and looked into a puddle to see her reflection.

She smiled. "I love it! Thank you so much!" She looked to the east. "Well, I guess I'll head east towards the games, and maybe a little later I'll look for the kids." She began to trot towards the east side.

(Although I was looking for a bit more of an adventure...) She thought to herself, continuing right along.

OOT: (We should really start getting together...Or we'll all die!)

Kedu spotted several people. "All of them...I wonder if any one here noticed this?" Kedu ran into a potion shop, but there was no shopkeeper, so he ran back out, as he heard a thump. He whirled around but saw nothing. "What...on earth? OKAY! IS ANYONE SEEING THE MOON?!" Kedu's voice cracked.

OOT: wait, can we go into the fields of termina?

not caring, jack left east clock town he still needed archery practice but it seemed the ranch was closed off. jack moved to north clock town and saw a bunch of children shooting seeds at a balloon.

"What are they doing?"

jack walked closer to the kid in the red cap who was continuously missing the purple balloon. Jack arched his bow and took a shot at it. the balloon had busted.

CID shook his head and continued to walk, hearing people gasp at the realization that the moon was so close, something CID was used to. He heard the usual few people panicking, but had never managed to save their lives before. As CID was walking, he suddenly noticed a man, someone he'd never seen in any of the time cycles before. He had deep red eyes, covered by a pair of spectacles, topped off with a thin, lit cigar in his mouth. Another new person? This was the first time the cycle had differed so drastically. Was it because the Hero of Time's appearance? CID didn't know, but he could find out. He approached the man from behind, tapping him on the shoulder while maintaining the same pace as the stranger. "Excuse me sir, I don't think I've seen you before. What's your name? Have you noticed odd happenings lately?" CID questioned, being careful to hide his knowledge of events just in case this man happened to be in league with the imp.

(I'm talking to Remis just to clarify)

(Ok SoraBlade, I am heading to the post office, seams like a popular place to be...)

Cindi licked the letter shut. It didn't seem right to worry grandpa, but the moon was getting disturbing.

"Mm?" Remis murmured, turning to look at the person. Looking him over once, Remis looked unamused. The man mentioned the moon, which prompted Remis to look up at the ever-there object.

"My name is Remis. Or Remissus. And yes, I have noticed the moon. Interesting that some haven't." Remis said, taking the thin cigar out to tap it a bit, ridding the cigar of the burnt parts. "And you are?" He asked, his red eyes glancing over the person again.

Kedu noticed Cindi. He ran over to her. "Hey! Er...have you seen that disturbing moon? I guess you have. That's why you're mailing that letter, huh?" Kedu kept himself under control. Kedu stood in place.

(OOC, to answer BitTripNano's question: yes, you can go out into Termina field. Provided you have a sword, of course.)

Bomber Jim was staggered by the sight of his balloon exploding like that: he had been trying for some time now to get it down with his blow gun, but to no avail. And now, a complete stranger had come up at downed it with one arrow! Jim would have been impressed, if not for the fact that the ease with which Jack performed the deed made his own futile attempts seem all the more feeble.

This feeling of envy was not shared by the other Bombers, who looked up at the man with a sort of awe. "Holy smoke!" said one of them: he had only ever seen a bow through the window of the shooting gallery, and of course had never been allowed through the door. "Is that a real bow?"

"Well, of course it is, dummy!" chastised another of the children, attempting to look tougher in front of the newcomer and hoping he could feign experience on the subject. "You, uh, can tell by the wood.  Yeah... that's how that works."

"Yeah, real nice," said Jim, finally mustering the wherewithal to approach the new kid on the block. "Haven't seen you around before," he mused, looking at Jack with a keen eye. "We know everyone in town. Oh, you don't know us?" The rhetorical question was the cue for the other four children to line up behind Jim, to cross their arms, and looks as tough as possible. "We... are the Bombers! Local problem solvers! If there's a problem in town, you bet we know about it!"

Then, with a snide grin, he added, "Pretty cool, huh?"

~

Sakon cursed his luck: Remis had run into the one man who seemed to know that he was a thief, and was now talking to him with some interest. The problem still rankled at his mind about how the young man knew so much about him. Well, thought Sakon, he was still no match for the prince of thieves. This just called for an extra degree of caution, was all.

Quickly turning away, Sakon pranced back the way he came, exiting the city via the South Gate. It was a sore thing, missing out on pinching a pocket, but it was small potatoes. There were far bigger fish to fry, and he wasn't about to risk the plan on a single purse.
