But in all "seriousness" : "The hints of Roxas's presence within Sora come to a climax in the World That Never Was. At Memory's Skyscraper, two Samurai Nobodies arrive and block Sora from Donald and Goofy. Then, Roxas, shrouded in a Black Coat, confronts Sora, summoning his Keyblades (much to Sora's surprise). The two are transported to the Station of Serenity, and they share an intense battle, which was originally depicted in a short cutscene, but became an actual boss battle in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. During their fight, Roxas says that he is someone from the dark, and Sora wonders if he is Riku. His guess is incorrect, and Roxas says that he had defeated a Riku once. He also asks a strange question: "Tell me... Tell me why he picked you!" and attacks Sora in a rage. At one point, Roxas floats from above, and sees the images of Riku, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy next to Sora, and finally understands that Sora has the Keyblade because of the bond with his friends. Still, Roxas continues to attack, and is able to knock the Keyblade out of Sora's hands. Sora, however, recovers the Keyblade and swiftly cuts a surprised Roxas down. Roxas, wounded, drops his weapons and his hood, revealing his face, and tells Sora, "You make a good other", disappearing with a satisfied look. It is revealed that the encounter was actually a mental struggle between Roxas and Sora when Sora returns to the World That Never Was. He asks his companions about the mysterious Keyblade-wielding Nobody, but Donald and Goofy say that they saw no one other than themselves, and that Sora had just disappeared, leaving them to fight some Nobodies. Sora is confused, but continues on."

^^Dis.^^

Essentially it's a conflict between two entities struggling to determine who will control one body.

PURELY SPECULATION TIME: I wonder if Sora had a tougher time with absorbing Roxas because Roxas had become his own person, as opposed to say Axel or Xigbar who essentially were Lea and Braig sans hearts. Lea didn't seem to have any trouble when he was recompleted. I don't really know, just something I was wondering about.

This is where it gets confusing, since there are some theories regarding that the nobody Roxas is actually from Ventus that is why sora returned to his human form when transformed into heartless because he wasnt completely transformed and Ventus part protected sora (similar to DDD when Ventus's armor was protected sora when sleeping and it fought Riku) , the part that was damaged was the part that was holding ventus. But taking that apart,he probably had, because they actually grew their own hearts, so Sora's heart is basically a mix of a lot of hearts xD  The reason they had to join again is because of the memories but it wasnt completely needed some will argue.

so Sora's heart is basically a mix of a lot of hearts xD

At the end of DDD he has at least four separate people within his heart: Sora (Ventus{Vanitas}) + (Roxas{Xion}). Dude probably has some seriously clogged arteries at this point.

He isn't the only one either. Didn't Terra absorb Eraqus's heart before being taken over by Xehanort? So it'd go like Master Xehanort (Terra{Eraqus})? Or maybe it's Master Xehanort (Terranort{Terra[Eraqus]})??!?!

Or even Master Xehanort (Terranort{Terra[Eraqus<Eraqus's Old Master-Harry Potter*Voldemort's seventh Horcurx=snakes?!?=*->}])

...I may've gotten out of hand there.

Roxas is Sora's nobody. Sora's body. Not Ven's body. Ven's body is in Castle Oblivion. So it isn't even possible for Roxas to be Ven's nobody. When Kairi hugged Sora it gave Sora a sort of shell to use as a body. He was basically a walking heart. Roxas looks like Ven because Ven's heart is inside Roxas so it made him look that way. It's all been confirmed by Nomura. So yeah.

I know, but these are some speculations because in the KH Universe things change ._. like really fast... xDThat may be the appropriate answer now, but it may change to adapt it to something else. Why? because trollmura, thats why.

Why? because trollmura, thats why.

But see, it's not speculation when it's been confirmed over several interviews by Nomura. It makes it canon . Unless Nomura actually does retcon it , then it's confirmed fact till otherwise stated.Otherwise we would never have any factual answers bc you can apply that same logic to basically every fact stated  Just sayin'

Q1: Why do Roxas and Ventus look alike?*

A: Because inside Sora, which is Roxas’ body, is Ventus’ heart. As was shown in the opening to BbS and the ending to Last Episode, Sora and Ventus’ heart are linked. And so Roxas, who is a part of Sora, was affected by that and looks just like Ventus.

This doesn't get any clearer then this. Roxas who is literally Sora's body was affected by Ventus's heart.

Since the heart shapes the vessel Sora's body was molded to look like Ventus as his heart remained in Sora's body. Had Ven's heart not been present Roxas would have looked like Sora not Ven.

*Q2: Why did Roxas faint in Castle Oblivion on Day 297?*

A: Because he had gotten to close to both Sora and Ventus, his “real self”.Before Day 297 in Days Sora had been to Castle Oblivion, as well as the fact that Ventus is asleep somewhere in the Room of Awakening. Both Sora and Ventus can be called Roxas’ “real selves”, and when he felt their presence it made him faint.

This further emulates the point about the location of Ven's heart. Roxas's fainted because Ven's heart was so close to his body, and Roxas(Sora's Body) was so close to his heart. Had Ven's heart not been within Roxas he woud not be included in Roxas's true selves.

I meant that what I said is speculative xD  Just something that I've been reading around, some theories like possible alternate answers :D But I knew that.  Is just that there are many options that is hard not to try to be imaginative xD

The whole scene was an internal struggle between roxas and sora. After axels death, it roxas really fully awakened inside sora, and resisted him. I always saw it as roxas was in side sora, but only for the ride. He saw the things sora saw, felt the things sora felt, and had no real control over sora. his consciousness was still there, but not able to do anything. Sort of like when your in that state of waking up. Everythings foggy and hazzy, you know where you are and who you are, but youre not fully awake and you cant really do anything.

As the story continues, we see evidence of roxas waking up so to speak. And after the (really quite horrific) death of his best friend, roxas' consciousness really finally awakens in sora and calls him into his heart for a battle to decide whos gonna control this body.
