So in a RPG game do you enjoy level grinding? Or do you hate it?

Featured Replies

Depends on the game.

I find it boring to grind in Pokemon because it takes forever.

In games like WoW I don't really like leveling but I feel that sense of satisfaction when I get to the max level so I don't mind. So far Final Fantasy XIV is the most fun I've had with leveling in an MMO.

And depending on the game, Kingdom Hearts can be pretty fun to level up in. So I don't mind it.

I try to grind as much as I can by just killing the enemies I encounter and to be able to beat bosses fairly easily, but I don't have time and interest to max out characters until I love game a lot. Also I hate how tedious it is to get those final level ups when you get like zero EXP from everything

Not really, that's why I stopped in many game ,before the final boss.:

FFX-Omega Ruins, Dragon Quest8-lvl38 must grind-Im beat the full fyling castle-just the FB beated me, FFI-the psp bonus dungeon before the FB,Persona 3portable(still in the level 78) .....

Not at all, unless it pays off. The only times I really level grinded was for ToV, had to get all my chars to level 200, BBS, I got Ventus and Terra to 99 but I was too lazy to do Aqua, then Dissidia-012, I don't remember getting every character to max level so I probably missed like 5 people.

Also, comma.

If the monsters are a high enough level that grinding actually makes you feel like you're progressing, then yes. But I've played a fanmade Pokemon game, and there was a part where you were supposed to be battling level 16 pokemon and there was only level 2-3 pokemon to train on. It sucked. Big time.

it depends on if the combat is fun and engaging or if theres optional bosses and stuff like that

I don't mind if I can figure out side objectives to do while level grinding (maybe looking for some item drop or something), or if I just enjoy playing the game.
