The village of Catelia Isle was set ablaze as innocent people scream, and perish in the flames as monsters enter the village killing innocent people. Above the flames the smoke form a great giant evil like woman as she evilly laughs with her red eyes glowing about to completely destroyed the town till Luna wakes up gasping for air. She heard the bell of the tower ringing for morning hours as Luna walk to her window, and open it seeing the village, and coast. "What is that dream about?" Luna asked herself till she heard a knock no her door hearing the voice of her grandfather Cid. "Come in." Luna said after hearing Cid's voice.

The temple groaned as it came apart. Gidolfin and Amriel sprinted at their full speed towards the opening to light they could see down a long corridor. As they ran, they  saw the stone slabs slipping down to close them in. Putting on more speed, the two Treasure hunters lowered there heads as they went under the first closing door.

"Not fast enough." Gidolfin shouted.

"Get their first." Amriel ordered. "Make sure the last one stays open."

Gidolfin nodded and pulled a device from his pocket. He hit a button on it and was thrown by a gust of air forward. He rocketed down the corridor, nearly crashing into several obstacles and falling debris.  He hit the ground and skidded to a stop a few feet from the final door. Thankful for his heavy coat and body armor, Gidolfin stood up, pulling both his pistols. He emptied both guns onto the base of a statue. Once done, he threw his weighed against it, toppling the statue of some long forgotten king in the way of the door.

Heaving breaths, Gidolfin looked back to see his partner. She seemed to be running normally when he first saw her, but then she began to blur. She ran the last half of the corridor at speeds a human couldn't even dream of on foot. A left over from her angel days, Gidolfin realized.

Satisfied that she would make it, he turned and dived out the final door himself. There was a great crash behind him and the main ceiling of the temple collapsed. Dust flew out into the open world, baring Gidolfin and Amriel out and skidding on the ground.

Both Treasure Hunters lay panting for a while.

"Still have it?" Amriel breathed.

Gidolfin said nothing, but raised a hand. With a display of slight of hand that would make any stage magician envious, there was suddenly a large ruby. The famous ruby of one of the craziest queens in history. Life was good.

As Luna put on her clothes she sense something calling her within the woods. She felt a bit nervous as she left the house, and enter the woods. She walks into the woods till she saw a decaying temple deep within the woods. She then heard the same sense calling her within the temple. As she enter she began to get a bad feeling about it.

The forest was as calm as always. Not a single sound around, no birds or animals or any other things, just a single girl sitting on a rock who was staring at nothing."What to do....what to do....Those fools thought I was the thief and while I AM a thief, I was not the one who stole their money"Aura sighed and looked at the sky."I need to get going or else they will catch up and put me in prison." she then whistled. "Chichiri! it's time to go!" she yelled. After a few moments a Chocobo came running towards Aura at full speed but managed to stop close enough."Good boy" she then mounted him. "Alright Chichiri, let's go and see if we can find another place to rest." the chocobo then ran towards their next destination."I wonder what this day will bring us" Aura thought to herself while smiling, the breeze felt good.

Gidolfin and Amriel rested outside the temple turned tomb, with Gidolfin occasionally holding up there prize to the light to admire it.

"Do we already have a buyer?" Amriel asked, here breathing now fully under control.

"Several." Gidolfin said in his usual, relaxed tone. "I was thinking of holding an auction."

Amriel rolled over on her stomach and pushed herself up, the nubs where her wings had been protruding slightly from her shoulder blades.

"You know how dangerous that is." She warned him as she walked over to where he lay. "Perticularly when there are private collectors involved."

She offered him a hand up. Gidolfin sighed and accepted the offered hand.

"True." He admitted. "But they certainly make things more interesting."

Amriel pulled her partner up and patted him on the shoulder.

"I've had enough interesting for now." She said, indicating the crumbling temple behind her.

Gidolfin laughed.

"All right, all right, we will find a single buyer and off load the Rudy. Now, let's get to the Dragon."

Both Treasure Hunters set off to where they had landed their airship, The Dragonfly.

Luna look around the temple as she walk till she saw a frame window of the goddess Athane. Below the frame window was a sword in a stone that had a message within the stone. "What does it mean? Do I have to pull the sword out?" Luna walk to behind the sword. She grabbed the hilt of the sword, and started to try pull it out. She tried really hard that the sword finally comes out. A blinding light shot out of the stone, and out of the temple to the heavens like a huge beacon that could be seen all over the world.

Aura was riding her chocobo when a sudden beam of light shot out to the heavens."Baaiti umu tian baidirudu!"* Aura said. "What is that?!" she stopped her chocobo and stared at the beam of Light. It seemed that the source of the light was the coming from the direction of Catelia Isle."I see, perhaps it's coming from that old temple...but...who could be messing around with the things that are hidden there" she asked to no one in particular.

Gidolfin was undoing the last lock on the door to the interior of the Dragonfly when Amriel dropped to her knees and screamed. Gidolfin dropped his keys and drew both his guns, scanning the area for attackers. When no sign was found, he ran and slid to be beside his partner. He holstered one of his guns to touch Amriel to find her shaking.

"Amriel?" He asked, concern in his voice.

"Athane..." Amriel breathed.

Gidolfin gave their surroundings another worried look.

"Here?" He asked.

"No...something at her temple."

Gidolfin stood up, put away his pistol and helped Amriel up. Though he wasn't happy with the idea, he knew where this was heading.

"We'll go check it out." He promised.

Amriel gave him a tried smile as he helped her into the Dragonfly.

And after the blinding light faded, there she was. Athane, the goddess of light.

"Greetings, Child of the Light" Athane said to Luna. "Do not be scared for I will not hurt you" she then smiled at her.

"I've been watching you for a long time Child, and It was my wish to meet you in better circumstances, sadly, that is not an option now." Athane frowned. "Child, it is time for you to begin your journey. It is time for you to know what you are destined to do. Listen to me, you need to travel outside this island and find the crystals that hold my brave Archangels prisoners. You need to free them in order to ------------------" something was interfering with Athane, was it "Her"? "I'm sorry Child but it seems I can't ------------- but you have to be brave ---------- can do it ----------- Child" Athane's power was almost gone. " Be careful and remember, you are destined to save the world from the darkness. I will make sure ----------- to protect you. Her-------Finis. I will see you again, Child" giving Luna a tender smile, Athane vanished into nothingness.

"Uh? what is this feeling? It's like someone is...." Aura moved her hand towards the hilt of her gunblade. "Maybe...it is time"Aura kept looking at the beam of light."There is a holy presence coming from the direction of Catelia Isle, could it be....Athane?" Aura nodded. "Alright I think I will go investigate. Chichiri take me to the shore!"The chocobo squawked and ran at full speed towards the shore.

Gidolfin piloted the Dragonfly up into the air.

"Okay, where to?" He asked over his shoulder.

Amriel, strapped in a chair, was starting to look better.

"Here." She said, handing her partner a piece of paper with coordance to Athane's temple.

Gidolfin quickly pulled the levers connected to his airship's navigation system. Numbers spun on dials to match what Amriel had written.

"There." He said as he finished. "We are on our way."

With a roar, the Dragonfly's engines reached full power and rocketed the airship on its path.

Luna was surprised of what happen. "I'm chosen to save the world?" Luna said as she look at the sword in her hand. "I need to find the crystals, and this Finis person." Luna said about to leave the temple.

Celas was at the shore, watching the great sea."Athane, the goddess of Light...She is trying to...I need to investigate this and I will make my decision until I have enough evidence"Aura nodded and looked at the sky and there she saw it."Oh? would you look at that...An airship. It looks like" she squinted her eyes. "Uh...the Dragonfly, yes?Her chocobo squawked and gently pushed her forwards."Sorry sorry...I was just wondering..." Aura put her hands together and focused. "Alright Chichiri, I will use teleportation to travel to Catelia Isle, alright?"The chocobo squawked once again and nodded."Good boy! hold on tight" a bright light surrounded them and Aura and her chocobo vanished.

Burning fuel at a record rate, the Dragonfly sped through the air towards Athane's temple. Amriel was fully recovered and was leaning closer to the bridge's main view port.

"Any idea of what we will find there?" Gidolfin asked, cleaning one of his guns.

"No." Amriel answered with a grimace. "All I know is that I could feel Athane's presence. It has faded. Whether that means she is fully awakened or under attack, I don't know."

Gidolfin clicked the last piece of his pistol back into place, then spun it around his finger.

"Should make things interesting." He commented, a reckless grin spreading across his face.

Amriel looked at her partner and smiled. Nothing seemed to be scare him. The human Treasure Hunt holstered his pistol and grabbed the controls.

"Get ready for landing." He ordered.

The Dragonfly reduced speed and came in for a landing near Athane's temple.

Luna started to hear sounds from outside the temple that she wanted to see what that sound was. But she is still curious of her destiny.

Amriel was out of her chair and heading for the hatch out as soon as the Dragonfly touched down. With practiced speed, she undid the hatch locks and opened the ship to the world. Stepping out of the Ship, the instincts and training Gidolfin had trained her with kicked in and she began looking for ambush points and traps.

Gidolfin calmly powered down the Dragonfly's systems and locked the controls so that only he or Amriel could get her air born again. Checking his guns as he went, he walked off the bridge and down to the hatch. He stepped out into the fresh air to see Amriel preforming a perimeter sweep.

"We clear?" he asked.

Amriel finished her sweep and nodded.

"Alright then." Gidolfin said, tightening his grip on his pistols. "Let's check this place out."

As Luna looks at the sword she continue to think of the crystals till she heard footsteps coming into the temple. She hid behind one of the pillars, and stayed quiet.

Aura and her Chocobo, Chichiri, appeared in a sudden flash within the forest."Oh...I wanted to teleport into the shore but I ended up in the forest? I'm lucky" she said. The Chocobo once again pushed her forwards."Alright alright. I'm going" she said. I'm sure the temple is somewhere around here. You will stay here and wait for me, alright? The chocobo nodded."Good, I will come back in a couple of minutes" Aura said while running off deeper into the forest. After a couple of seconds she saw the Airship once again."Look at that. Apparently they came to investigate too" Aura then silently jumped into one of the tree branches and looked around. "I need to be careful so no one can see me." she said while jumping from one tree to another, waiting for an opportunity to get inside of the temple.

Gidolfin carefully walked forward, his eyes taking in the area. He stopped when he didn't feel his partner there with him. He turned to see her standing in front of a broken crystal. His eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly as he walked over to Amriel.

"This...was where an angel was, wasn't it?" She asked, a little apprehensively.

Gidolfin nodded, knowing what she was thinking.

"But the debris looks like it was blasted out. Like something was getting out." He replied.

Amriel's eyes widened.

"You mean that another angel made it out or...?"

A look of realization came over her.

"I...was in there?"

"What are they talking about?" Luna whispered till she try to move but trip, and fell in front of the two people while holding Athane's sword.

Both of Gidolfin's guns were on Luna in an instant.

"Well, hello there." He said in a friendly tone. "What might you be doing here?"

Amriel tore herself away from the revelation she was having to see if the new comer was a threat. Her eyes widened when she took in Luna's weapon.

"Where did you get that?" She hissed.

"I pull it out of that stone, and Athane spoke to me of my destiny." Luna said to Gidolfin, and Amriel.

"And?" Gidolfin asked, his expression blank.

He obviously considered the story hogwash, but Amriel, on the other hand, looked shocked.

"What kind of destiny?" She asked. "What mission did Athane give you?"

"To find the crystals of her imprison archangels." Luna said to them. "I have to go to Infernia to find the fire crystal." Luna said

Amriel looked down at a piece of crystal she had picked up. She remembered back to when she had fully been an archangel. She had been flying...to? Or from Athane's side? Where ever she had been, she knew she was doing something important. Then she blacked out. When she snapped out of it, she was miles away from Athane's temple and without her wings. It wasn't till later that she learned that it had been thousands of years since Athane had been free. She always secretly feared she had been taken control of by a demon, but this crystal...she had been in it. But how had she...

She let the shard drop and stepped between Gidolfin and Luna.

"Then I will help you." She stated.

Behind her, Gidolfin sighed as he holstered his pistols.

"How about we get more details before charging off." He suggested as he pushed Amriel gently to one side and offered Luna a hand up. "Looks like you have the starting of a party, my dear."
