Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released in Japan mid December, and released out of Japan late January, so like a month and a half gap. With LR FF XIII, its being released Late November in Japan and mid February out of Japan, so 2 months and 2 weeks gap. Why is it taking longer for Lightning Returns to be localized then XIII-2 did?

Good question the world may never know though.

i have a feeling they had finished the final product, and it was on track to be released in september like planned, they probably wanted to improve the game because they felt fans wouldn't be fully satisfied with the game as it is.

HD 1.5 ReMIX is taking even longer than KH3D. At least it's not a long wait. And we have no idea why this is happening. No point wondering because we're never going to know. Maybe they have more dialogue to record or something. Oh well.

They didn't plan a September release. They said September-November.

One does not simply question an unpredicatable company.

KH HD is taking even longer.

The reason that Lightning Returns is taking so long is because they want to make absolutely sure that the translation is spot on. There are a lot of NPC's who are going around the world of Nova Chrysalia doing their own thing while you do yours. They want to make sure everyone is saying what they're supposed to be saying at the right time.

 

I'm all for it actually. The final product will come out even better now, because they didn't do a rush order on the game. It's all worth it.
