July 29, 201312 yr Author I think people found FFX's ending sadder because they didn't know it was going to happen, and anyone who played FF7 does, although they take place in the same universe...The fayth told him the whole game that he was a dream of the fayth. They said one day they would stop dreaming and he would fade away. That is what happened on the airship once sin was gone.
July 29, 201312 yr The fayth told him the whole game that he was a dream of the fayth. They said one day they would stop dreaming and he would fade away. That is what happened on the airship once sin was gone. But that's different. You shouldn't always believe what you hear, for all the players know, the fayth could've been lying just to shock you. For Crisis Core, Zack's eventual death was confirmed, so they know one way or another, he wouldn't make live to the original VII, and would die at the end.

For Crisis Core, Zack's eventual death was confirmed, so they know one way or another, he wouldn't make live to the original VII, and would die at the end. They said it so many times in the game. It was ridiculous. He basically accepted the fact that he was going fade but didn't tell anyone because he knew it was going to hurt them.Like when he told Yuna he was going to take he to see Zanarkand; later he realized that wasn't going to happen. At the beginning of the game where they were at Zanarkand, he was sad because he knew it was going to fade away. It was kind of like Serah in XIII-2. She knew she was going to die. Noel says it in the end of the game; Caius tells her in the void Beyond after Academia 4XX AF, when the encountered Yeul in the Void Beyond, when they we Yeul at the Yaschas Massif, when they told her she was a seeress and what happens to them, and at the end on the Airship. She accepted her fate and said she didn't care because she wanted to protect the future. She told Lightning she knew and had no regrets. Tidus knew he was going to fade eventually. Every time you went to the Chamber the fayth would give him hints and stuff. The facts were there players chose to be in denial about it.As for Zack, we knew he was going to die but how died is what makes it sad. What really killed Zack was pride. If you look at the whole picture, that was his character flaw. Keeping the pride for Solider. Even if you did not play VII, Zack was fated to die because of what went on around him. What really killed Zack was pride. if you look at it in the whole picture, that was his character flaw. This^ You're right. That is the truth. But what happened iwth Serah and Tidus was different. Tidus was gonna fade either way, so he chose to continue his journey, if Serah had stopped her journey, she would've lived, but she chose to press on. As for Zack, yes his flaw was his pride. He overestimated himself during his final stand, and he ended up dying.
July 29, 201312 yr The fayth told him the whole game that he was a dream of the fayth. They said one day they would stop dreaming and he would fade away. That is what happened on the airship once sin was gone. Well he wasnt really told the whole game. He didnt even have a clue what was going to happen until like right before Zanarkand if I remember correctly. And that is pretty far into the game.
July 29, 201312 yr Crisis Core's ending is A LOT more sad then FFX ending. In FFX it kind of happened out of nowhere,Tidus just vanish and I don't even think anyone cried when that happened compare to Zack who fought hundreds of mans and died when there were only three guys left and we saw him getting shoot while he was defenseless and Zack was such a nice guy.Tidus was nice too,but no as much as Zack. And how about the fact that Aerith(The nicest girl in video game history) was waiting for him for 4 years and he died in front of Midgar and he was about to go see he.There's just so much that can be said in that ending compare to FF10's I guess if people prefer Tidus over Zack it would be more sad for them to see him die......I guess. And I'm pretty sure that FFX sold more then crisis core so people who never played crisis core voted for FFX.
So there was a poll taken on what was the saddest FF ending.
The poll showed that X's ending was sadder than Crisis Core.
How? Did I miss some emotional attachment or something?
I think I may have to bring my PS2 out and play X
