Kingdom Hearts: Dark Uprising (RP)

(Here's the thread for the actual roleplay! Signups are here, we could probably accept a few more people: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/60620-kingdom-hearts-dark-uprising-signups/ )

Allitt entered the academy's meeting room, following her teacher's instructions. She'd been told to convene here with a group of fellow students for an important mission. "What kind of important mission would they be assigning to someone like me, who isn't even a proper Keyblade Master yet...?" Allitt asked herself aloud as she leaned against a nearby wall. Her teacher wasn't there, so she had time to relax before things started. She summoned her Keyblade, and stared at it for a moment. Not like she had anything else to do while she waited.

(By the way, all the heroes got the same instructions as Allitt, if they're from the academy anyway.)

"Are you from the Keyblade Academy?"

Behind Jack was an older man, but obviously in great shape. He frowned slightly. "Is it clear to return to our homes? Is that why you're here? Has Seren cleared up the hostiles?"

The man was eerily familiar to students of history. He had jet-black hair, but heterchromic eyes...one a very familiar blue that stood out, while the other was a gold, like amber gold.

"And to put you at ease son, I'm Eon de Wynter."

((I know Jaune. It was a thing only for Twilight Town, hence why Rei and Seren weren't really upset about the people. More about the town itself.))

I'm horrorifically confused, but I'll try to make sense of things.

[Real-world Twilight-Town]

Following the corridor with Rei still cradled in his arms, Ghost walked into an empty room with two doors on opposite sides. He looked around the room and decided to head back to the computer room for now. As he was walking back, his commlink cackled into life.

"Spectre to Squad, report location and status. Have you guys seen anyone?"

Ghost felt a chill run down his spine as he tried to make sense of his question and as his friends responded over the link.

"Shadow here, Tram Station and remmenants of the Clock Tower. Negative, sir."

"Spirit here, just cleared the beachhead and heading towards the town square. N-Nothing here, sir."

"Spectre to all units, just... regroup at the Square.... There's no one here either...."

"......... Understood, sir."

"..... It's too quiet, Commander. I don't like this."

As Ghost finally entered the Computer Room, he noticed Joel still asleep and the computer screen blinking red. Curious, he kicked the office chair that Joel was sleeping in away as he gently placed Rei on her feet again, then manned the keyboard. He pulled up the main menu, along with any other interfaces that would help him understand what the computer was doing at the moment. Noticing a cable on the side of the machine, he looked over to his commlink on his arm and realized that the the port of the device and the end of the cable would fit together. Plugging it in, some rather crucial information blinked on his link interface. Apparently, the commlink also sent the info to his buddies out in the field as his link cackled into life again.

"W-woah! Ghost?! Is that you?!"

"Had me scared for a moment there, man! The silence was killing me."

"Analyzing information...... Wow... a Contingency Plan huh?"

Ghost reached for a button on his link. "Mind telling me what's going on here?"

"Those nobodies that we shot were only a fraction of them here. Apparently, this town was quickly being overrun by them, so the citizens here all evacuated to a... a digital version of this place?"

"Like Magic!"

"Hahaha, yeah, what Shadow said. There should be a special computer that would be connected to it."

"Then it looks like I found it." Ghost replied to the team. "Since this is where I would come in, I better get started." He started typing away at the computer, inputting in various codes and pulling up code information as he tried to pull up the entire roster of everyone in the virtual Twilight Town. An "UNKNOWN" name popped up on the list, and Ghost had a gut feeling on who it was. "There's gotta be some way to bring them all back here into the real world." he muttered to himself as he continued to find the correct interface to accomplish the task.

(But this is VIIIAxel's RP though. You can't just take direct control of the story like that. Its up to him to do that you know. :

(Uh yrah, thats taking control. Axel decides stuff like that, its his RP. Thats how things work in an RP. :/)

(Of course I'm still being called Axel after changing my name... ._.)

Allitt followed the rest of the group down the stairs and into the computer room. "Hey... What's going on, anyway?" She asked, gazing around at the equipment. After a while, Jack disappeared, apparently beamed up into a virtual world. A while later, Ghost started doing something on the computer. "They're not all stuck in there... Are they?" She asked. Having her first mission end with a whole town's worth of people, and one of her fellow students, being trapped in a virtual world isn't exactly how she imagined it to go...

Seren walked in like a boss.

"No, they aren't. But if my parent's haven't fixed the machine on the other side yet, then they'll have to go the long way and find the transports that we hid on the World that Never Was." He explained. "We can go there, but it's a one way trip if the other side isn't fixed."

He frowned. "Ghost. Can you communicate with the other side?"

Rei stood there, not sure what to do.

Kasai listened to the others talk and argue in silence, her blinking becoming slower as a look of non-comprehension came over her face."Soooo...what now?" She finally asked. "The town's people are some place else?"She gave the computer a hopeless look."Never really understood those things.""What things?" Rook asked, stepping into the computer room, looking a little out of breath.Kasai exclaimed and ran over and hugged Rook. She stepped back, blushing a little, and punched him in the arm."Where were you?" She demanded.Rook smiled slightly as he rubbed where she had hit him."Got lost." He answered. "Sorry."

Diligently working on the keyboard, Ghost was biting his lower lips as the screen continued to pop up a formidable array of information panels. He keyed in his commlink as he announced to the others and his friends out in the field. "I hate to be the one to tall you all this but... yeah, the citizens of Twilight Town are inside this computer. As for if they are stuck, I don't know. I'm currently looking at their options and trying to find a way to get them back out."

"Shadow here! Welp, at least we know they're safe!"

"Hey! If we channel our limited magic together, we could probably rebuild most of this clock tower before anyone notices!"

"Good thinking Spirit! Though this would go a LOT faster if you are here Ghost. Please, reconsider your mission and help us out a little!"

"Ghost. Can you communicate with the other side?"

He looked down to his linked commlink. "I suppose I could talk inside this program, but it would be like an arena announcer and his voice booming to everyone in the town. Unless it's good news and not too loud, I don't think talking directly over this mic will be a good idea." He quickly pulled up a program. "I could send a digitized paper message to someone in the virtual world with this." He quickly looked around the room. "Judging by the people here, I'm assuming that idiot who nearly got us all killed is in this program, right? Would explain the unknown person on the list of people here."

Rei stepped forward.

"My daddy, Eon de Wynter! Send him the message!"

((Just to be clear, Eon's just an NPC and will remain an NPC >.> just...to be clear...))

Rei stepped forward.

"My daddy, Eon de Wynter! Send him the message!"

((Just to be clear, Eon's just an NPC and will remain an NPC >.> just...to be clear...))

[so long as we're here on Twilight Town, looks like my other NPCs will be sticking around for a while...]

Ghost looked over to Rei and nodded before looking through the roster panel. "Eon... Eon... Got him!" Highlighting over his name, a digital map of the world formed on the screen as the view quickly zoomed in to the person in question, similar to how a satellite would zoom in to a person of interest. Typing away at the keyboard again, as soon as he hit the big Enter key, a large touchscreen displaying the same thing as the main screen that everyone was looking at raised into view off to his left. he immediately grabbed the screen, taking it off its holding pedestal as he pulled something from under it, which turned out to be another keyboard. "I always preferred touchscreens, really immerses me into this program." he nonchalantly notified everyone in the room as he continued to stare at the screen.

The screens showed only the top of their heads, and Ghost decided to make it easier to track them as he typed away again on the mini-keyboard. Digital identifier marks were then overlayed over the main view, making tracking them easier for the Commando as Eon's condensed information box popped into view, as well as the unknown entity who he seemed to be interacting with. "Man, Intelligence would just love to have this kind of technology for the real world. Ah well, one can wish. Placing spawn marker now." Touching the screen, a white dot was placed on the ground just off to the side of the two on both the touchscreen and the main one for everyone to see. "Typing message.... done. Sending.... Materialization in three... two... one... spawned."

[Digital Twilight Town]

Off to the side of Jack and Eon, a beam of light shot down from the sky before quickly dying off, revealing a piece of paper with words on it as well as a pen.

Eon de Wynter, It seems that everyone in this program has been trained in this Contingency Plan of sorts. The situation has been resolved, and the town is safe once again. Be advised, the Clock Tower has been destroyed, but I got some friends working on restoring it. From what Seren has informed me, there is a computer on this side that should get you all back to the real world, and if this place mirrors it then it should be in the Old Mansion. I'm unable to form a link to it, so I'm hoping that you might be able to link it to us to re-establish a connection. Use this sheet of paper to communicate with us if you need help.

End Transmission.

Joel awoke to find that he had moved in his sleep. He looked to see that Ghost was on the computer doing... something. Joel glanced at a clock on the far wall. 'The hour still isn't up...' Joel said to himself. He decided to just watch Ghost and wait.

Jack listened to the message being read as he stood next to an unknown person, who deducted to be a person who knew what was going on.  After a few minutes of being briefed, both sides knew what needed to be done, which was somehow get this sides' computer to start working again.

"The only problem is, this computer is broken," Jack explained to Eon standing right in front of the said technology.  "It's the only obstacle, but it's definitely too much for us to handle."

Jack began pacing around, fingers on his chin, trying to think of a way to find a solution.  He examined what he could from the multiple panels and deduced it to be Keyblade inflicted cracks.

"Was this program never fixed before?" Jack questioned, trying to recall his history lessons.  "From the looks of this, it must have been Roxas who had done this...but that was never mentioned in any book."  Jack had a clear grasp of history, but as time passed, history passed down through generations would alter, some information becoming lies to benefit whoever the storyteller was.  "I don't suppose you know how to communicate back to the other side?" Jack asked Eon, immediately looking at him.

"Man im SOOOOO BORED. And it hasn't been an hour yet. Man, Joel you think we should keep waiting, or we should just go?" Lucas asked Joel. He was hoping he'd agree with him to go.

"Man im SOOOOO BORED. And it hasn't been an hour yet. Man, Joel you think we should keep waiting, or we should just go?" Lucas asked Joel. He was hoping he'd agree with him to go.

"Hmmmm...." Joel thought about it for a moment. He did want to go; he was starting to worry about Jack. But then he looked at Ghost doing... whatever it was he was doing. If Ghost already had the situation under control, there would be no point in going. He decided to ask.

"Hey Ghost," Joel called to the man at the computer. "Ya think we need a couple more people on the other side?"

Jack stared at what he considered to be a very old man just stand there and not answer.  "Well..."  Was Jack just wasting his time?  "I'll take that as a no."  He began to worry that there was no clear way to get out, of course not being there for Rei's speech of the secret entrances and exits between the real and virtual world, he would not know of any of them.  He sat back down at the computers and began to think of a way out.

Rook, interested by the computer, stepped over and looked over Ghost's shoulder.

"If the problem is in the digital world, we should be able to fix it by accessing the source code for it." Rook said, sounding a little distant as he thought. "We just isolate the damaged code and reset it to original perimeters."

Kasai followed Rook over, but had had enough sense not to lean in with him.

"Are you speaking Greek?" She asked him, irritated by her lack of knowledge of what was going on.

"Close." Rook answered with a chuckle.

I really hope they come for me... no way am I waiting in here, Jack thought to himself.  He looked at Eon once again to see how calm he was... So this really is a contingency plan.  Well, I'm sure they must have built someway to get everybody in and out.

[Real World Twilight Town]

A bead of sweat was forming on Ghost's forehead as he continued combing through the daunting array of what looked like a jumble of letters and numbers to the untrained eye. The students who were looking at the main computer screen just stared at it silently, and as far as he was concerned they probably have no idea what it all means.

"If the problem is in the digital world, we should be able to fix it by accessing the source code for it. We just isolate the damaged code and reset it to original perimeters."

"Already thought of that, but look here..." He scrolled to the source code in question, the computer in the digital world in this case and highlighted the multitude of data lines responsible for it. "See those asterisks there in the code? It's corrupted. I've been trying to find a backup source code, because something this advanced must have some sort of back up in case this happens. But it looks like the genius who made all this had ego problems, because I can't find a back-up data set anywhere. Must have think that it was too awesome to fail..."

He changed the channel on his commlink, radioing his squadmates.

"Ghost to Spooky Team, respond?"

"Commander Spectre here."

"Shadow, Reporting!"

"Spirit, Reporting!"

"Guys, you all know I've been assigned to a mission with all of these keyblade students. Well, there are citizens stuck inside this program, and I can't seem to get them out. It looks like I'll have to jump inside the program to help them out, but I highly doubt this is the mission that I was assigned to. I need you three to take over until I can free everyone in this program."

"Man, the legend of the Paopu Fruit... alright boys! You heard the man, lets move! We'll be there in Two minutes!"

In what felt like no time at all, Ghost's squadmates popped in. "Here we are! So, what's up?"

"I've been assigned to a mission with all these keyblade students, but the mission itself hasn't been clearly stated. Just that there's been an upset in the balance of light and darkness and these students have been tasked with restoring that. You guys think you can handle it for a while while I jump into this thing?"

"Aww... C'mon Ghost! You know you can count on us!"

"Just keep your hands to yourself and away from my girl..."

"I'll keep them on a leash for ya. Get in there and get them back."

After giving them a salute, Ghost quickly punched in a code before standing in the teleportation ring next to the computer. "Ghost... Away." as soon as he finished, a beam of light quickly enveloped him and disappeared, with him nowhere to be seen. Spirit manned the controls as Spectre looked around the room. "C'mon Ghost, work your magic."

"From the sound of things, it looks like this isn't your real mission. Me and Shadow here will be replacing him until things get back to normal. So... anyone care to brief us on specifics on this mission of yours?"

Joel looked at Ghost's teammates and said, "Well, Ghost pretty much said it all. We have to travel to different worlds and restore the balance between light and darkness. It's our Mark of Mastery exam. That's... pretty much all we know. Sorry, but we're just as much in the dark as you guys. Jack said we could find answers here... but right now, helping the townspeople is our immediate priority."

Joel looked at the device that Jack and Ghost used to get to the other Twilight Town. He then stared at the clock. The hour's up, he thought.

Joel stood up. "C'mon, Lucas," he said. He then turned to Spirit and asked, "Hey, would you mind beaming us into the other Twilight Town?"

((It is a pet peeve of mine when people say a char is ignoring them when the person doesn't post. We have work yaknow -.-))

Eon finally looked up.

"Someone damaged this again, or reset our repairs. My cousins should be here soon." He frowned. "Interesting fact...it seems one does not age in this digital world." He mused, before a few people rushed in.

"Sorry, had to help with a few wounded." One said.

As Ghost appeared, they mostly ignored him. "We need to try and bring this into the correct state for two way transfer." A woman said.

Eon glanced at the doorway. "What else might we reset?"

The other shook their heads silently, tapping away at tablets, attemping to fix the damage. "You two. Stand away. Nothing you can do to help."

Spirit could only blink as Joel asked his question. "I uh... Unless you know computers, you'd be nothing but a hindrance to the effort here. You'd be better off doing that balancing thingy your master told you about." he replied as he continued to scan through the sea of code.

[Digital Twilight Town]

Ghost was at least smart enough to set his spawn area to where Eon and Jack were. "Mr. Wynter, sir!" he saluted. Noticing Jack next to him, he let off a sigh. "somehow, I knew that the unknown entity was you. Why can't you just stay on track and stop the trouble for once? First the property damage, then the nobodies, and now here you are and you probably have no idea what to do, do you? Allitt ought to keep you on a leash before you go start more trouble."

He eyed the two people that Eon had addressed. "Actually, gimme those tablets." As soon as he received the equipment, he scurried off to the nearby computer, similar to the one in the real world but severely banged up. Ghost growled as he assessed the damages, then managed to crack a smile. "Thank goodness. Only superficial damage, three broken screens and the keyboard seems to be out of whack. A little splicing and redirection will fix this." He opened the console underneath the broken keyboard and started fumbling with the wires.

Tch, who is he to be telling me what I should be doing? Jack thought to himself.  I've had enough of these high and might people thinking they can just do whatever they feel.  If they don't want me here then that's fine.  I'm out.  And with Jack's closing thoughts, he took the beam back to the real Twilight Town, very irritated by Rei, Eon, Ghost and their associates.

It's our Mark of Mastery exam. That's... pretty much all we know. Sorry, but we're just as much in the dark as you guys. Jack said we could find answers here... but right now, helping the townspeople is our immediate priority."Joel looked at the device that Jack and Ghost used to get to the other Twilight Town. He then stared at the clock. The hour's up, he thought.Joel stood up. "C'mon, Lucas," he said. He then turned to Spirit and asked, "Hey, would you mind beaming us into the other Twilight Town?"

Jack entered the lab room with another random person who looked to be associated with Ghost.  He shrugged it off and saw Joel and the others.  "Thanks for coming back for me," Jack uttered, passing Joel on the way.  "The real people of Twilight Town are in there," Jack began, stopping before passing the doorway.  "They're involved in some contingency plan.  Apparently, everything's been handled by our fellow classmates and whoever they are," he finished his sentence looking at Spirit.  "We've been tasked to save the worlds from whatever this threat is, I don't need babysitting from you bunch.  This is our Mark of Mastery.  OURS and ours alone."  Jack created a corridor of darkness and went straight in, leading him back to the main room of the mansion. There, he pointed his Keyblade towards the ground as light began to gather on the tip of it, immediately producing a beam of light.  The ray hit the solid wall creating a keyhole and turning into a corridor of darkness.  The corridor retained the shape of the keyhole and only widened, changing from darkness to light every second.  "And I'm also tired of all of you!" Jack yelled at the countless of Nobodies teeming in the room, summoning a large reflect spell and minimizing it, forcing all the enemies into the keyhole he had made.  After all of these creatures had been plunged into who knows where, Jack jumped up and closed the Keyhole for good.  The incredible amount of effort, depleted Jack's energy as he limped to the white room and rest on the nearby same colored chair, locking the door with his Keyblade as he sat.  "Once I've rested, I'll head over to the next world... since I'm not needed here anymore."

Joel watched as Jack opened a corridor of darkness and left the room. What the- he exclaimed in his mind. Joel ran out of the lab and made his way back up into the library. Once he got to the main hall, he saw a shadow recede into a nearby hallway. He also noticed that all of the Nobodies were gone. All of them. Joel wondered if it was Jack who had cleaned up the place. If so, he thought, then this guy is...

Joel went down the hallway until he reached a door. Joel tried the doorknob. Drat. Locked. Joel hopped back, summoned his Keyblade, and pointed it at the keyhole of the door. A light shot out of his Keyblade and hit the door, unlocking it. He then slowly opened the door.

Joel gasped. The entire room and everything in it was pure white. Everything, except for Jack, who sat in a chair, Keyblade in hand; he was exhausted, his eyes looking down.

"You should know that it's pointless to lock a door when there're Keyblade wielders about. Anyway... are you okay? What happened in there?"

((LOL))

Jack looked at the boy barging in through the only entrance of the room.  "Oh, so you noticed?" he asked him, wondering why Joel would follow him here.  Jack quickly got up to meet his classmate, coughing small amounts of blood as he did this.  "Tch," he said loudly, finishing his thought in his mind, guess it was pretty stupid of me to just use up most of my energy into one attack like that.... hope he doesn't notice.  Jack turned his head back to Joel, forcing a smile, but ultimately making his poor state of health more obvious.  The blood masked most of his teeth and his extra coughing only made it worse.  Jack continued to cough falling down on the floor and leaning on the foot of the table.  "Heh."

Jack was in pretty terrible shape. First he started coughing up blood. Then when he smiled, his mouth was filled with blood. Then he fell down.

Joel helped the boy back into the chair and propped his Keyblade on the side of it. Joel then took off his pack and rummaged around in it for a bit. After a moment he found what he was looking for. He pulled out an Elixir and tossed it to Jack. "We can't have you dying now, can we? What on earth did you do?"
