Do you prefer Turn Based RPG or an Action Based RPG?

 

I really prefer Action Based. It keeps the battles more fun and interesting, and even though i do like turn based games, the Action based is more fun and interactive, so i prefer that to a normal turn based one. So happy Lightning Returns is now Action Based. : D

It really depends. I love Live Action hack n slash, but I also love turn-based.

I like the turn-based stuff of early Final Fantasy games (Wish they would bring that back a bit for the newer ones), but I do like more action-oriented stuff...like the combat system from Tales of the Abyss for instance.

I prefer action RPG.

It depends I guess.

Both really, it just depends on how well it's done.

Shin Megami Tensei.

 

Tales.

 

Mario and Luigi.

 

Mega Man X Command Mission.

 

and

 

Arc Twilight of the Spirits.

I prefer real-time/action based battles. Games like KH and the "Tales of..." games are good indicators of what I like. However, I absolutely cannot stand ATB and similar systems. Games like Xenoblade or FFXIII, for instance, I cannot play because I simply find their battle system boring. 

 

Turn-based battles I'm okay with. I would prefer a good action based system, but I'm not against a game opting for turn based battles.

It depends on how well-designed the game is.

 

For Turn-based RPG...anything like Pokemon,Final Fantasy (all games except 8 and 12),Mario & Luigi RPG games and Earthbound are always welcome in my book.

 

As for Action RPG.it doesn't get any better than Kingdom Hearts and Xenoblade Chronicles

I find both of them enjoyable and fun to play.

Both. KH and Golden Sun for example.
