There's also how they're making a profit off screams, at least until the end.  Scaring is a harmless, enjoyable job in Halloween Town, a staple of their culture.  Monsters Inc. turns the practice into consumerism and capitalism.  I don't think Sora would approve of the monsters scaring the bajeezus out of innocent children for $$$, regardless of the ends.

 

We already traumatize children enough with the shadows and the body-snatching old men and the animu characters with big feet and big keys.  Why must we expose them to the horrors of a corrupt corporation?  That's just too much.

And said monsters would flip out when they saw Sora, since he's still pretty much a kid. It would be quite hard to get anywhere if everyone ran screaming and you've got monsters in Hazardous Materials suits trying to detain you.

 

On second thought...that sounds pretty cool.
