Alright, so I've completed the main game for White 2 a long time ago, and I've been trying to do the PWT for a while now. I think my main game team, which worked well for the main game and most other sidequests, won't cut it here. My team for the main game:

Emboar (Bacon)- Level 74. Calm Nature. Holding Charcoal. Hammer Arm, Heat Crash, Flamethrower, Odor Sleuth

Electivire (Sparks)- Level 75. Modest Nature. No item at the moment. ThunderPunch, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave

Azumarill (Mickey)- Level 72. Naughty Nature. Holding Mystic Water. Surf, Aqua Tail, Ice Beam, Dive.

Unfezant (Archimedes)- Level 72. Bashful Nature. Holding Sharp Beak. Fly, Facade, Sky Attack, Air Slash.

Sandslash (Slash)- Level 72. Mild Nature. Holding Shell Bell. Shadow Claw, Earthquake, Dig, Swords Dance.

Muk (Sludgie)- Level 71. Bold Nature. Holding Amulet Coin. Memento, Gunk Shot, Strength, Sludge Wave.

Before anyone says "OMG UR TEAM SUX", it wasn't made for competitive battling, and it got me through the main game, so I'm very happy with it. Anyway, I think I'm going to need to make a few adjustments for the PWT. My considered team right now:

Emboar (Same as above)

Electivire (Same as above, might switch for a Luxray)

Reuniclus (Might use Gardevoir instead)

Eelektross

I'm also going to want a Water and Ice type (Maybe a Lapras so I can have both), not sure what else I'll add.

So, a few questions:

What do you think of the teams? Will my main team be able to do it, or will I need to go with my adjusted team?

What's a good 6th member for the PWT team if I need one? I want something with good type balance.

Will I need to do EV training to do this? I've never EV trained before since I haven't done much competitive battling, but I could figure it out if I have to.

Where are some good places to train post-game? Any new team members would probably be somewhere around lv 20 and lower, and I'd want them to get up to around 75.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

This isn't competitive battling, it's the World Tournament. Also, I know it's too late for my main team, but I might try it out with my PWT team.

Mmmmm

Honestly I finished the PWT in single Battle only,I still yet to finish the Double Battle and other battle types

But my main team for PWT was

Cresselia(Lunarina)

Lucario ( Mega Man X )

Umbreon (Darkness)

and currently Jolteon for Double Battles

While my advice won't be big but If I had to give an advice it'll be:

Make sure that every member in your team fill a specific rule that you'll use during battle,be sure to have a team of Pokemon with high defense, high attacksp.atk, high speed.

My Umbreon, for example,I uses him mainly for taking damage and inflecting status damage like Poison, burn, confusion etc....It has Dark Pulse,Toxic,Confuse ray and Moon Light...and I equipped him with King's Rock to increase the chances of flinching my opponent,so I can damage my opponent while also healing myself to resist damage while my opponent continues to suffer from status problems.

My Lucario on the other hand,is mainly focus on attacking,it has:Sword Dance,Close Combat,Aura Sphere and Extreme speed,I equipped him with Focus Sash so he can resist being defeated by super effective moves and one hit kills while I try to damage my opponent as much as possible before switching to my other Pokemon....and so on.

Make sure that every Pokemon you have fill a specific rule that will help you in every battle, and be sure to equip them with the items that will help them the most depending on their rules

the PWT actually serves as a preparation of how competitive battles will be

Actually competitive battling is not that different from the PWT except that in PWT you fight the AI instead of real people

I wanted Pokemon good with certain stats, which is why I'm considering switching it up. My main team has stats good enough to get through most normal battles, but most of them don't really cut it for PWT. I'm thinking Emboar or Electivire could be good physical attackers, Lapras and Reuniclus would be good tanks, and maybe a Metagross would work well for sweeping. Eelektross would work well due to being immune to Ground, and having very few weaknesses.

I really suggest you at least get good natures and/ or EV train. PWT is a pain with certain gym leaders, and the champions section. If not, good luck. Just don't expect much out of a physical hindering nature on Emboar, for example.

Is Emboar's nature physically hindering? I never really pay attention to natures/EVs in the main game since they're not necessary for that, so I just go with whatever I get...

Yes. Go on Serebii, they have a list of natures and what each one does.

Oh wow, I didn't notice. ._. I might switch him off too, then. Thanks for pointing that out.

Emboar isn't that very well in terms of competitive battling. Hear me out, PWT kind of acts out like competitive battling. So you need to kind of have good Pokémon to withstand some teams (Cynthia just became stronger). He could've been better if he had an ability called Reckless, but its not out for him yet. To make up for his speed, give him a Choice Scarf. Yes it locks you onto one attack, but it increases his Base Speed Stat from 65 to 97.5, enough to take out many non-speed boosted Pokémon. Odor Sleuth is not needed at all, replace it with Earthquake since Choice Scarf is going to lock you onto one move anyways. His Calm Nature increases his Special Defense but lowers his best stat, which is Attack. Emboar is a risk, but if you want to use him in PWT you better hit fast and hard.

Electivire is kind of a mess. His nature kind of screws him up by increasing his Special Attack and decreasing his Attack which is fantastic and thats the stat you should use. The movepool is entirely Electric-type based which doesn't help either. Keep Thunderpunch and Volt Switch, but take out the rest. Thunderpunch already has a chance of paralyzing the target, so no need for Thunder Wave. Volt Switch is for scouting. Give it Wild Charge if you want to risk a little recoil damage for a strong physical Electric move, or you can just use Earthquake instead which is good for coverage and for other Electric Types. Your 4th slot should either be Fire Punch or Ice Punch, Ice to take down your only weakness which is Ground, plus it can destroy Dragons and Grass moves that you can barely hurt. As for item, you can get a Life Orb if you can risk some damage, or if you are going with Wild Charge you can use a Choice Band which, like Choice Scarf, locks you onto one move but powers it up by 1.5x. Choice Scarf is a good choice too if you want to out speed faster Pokémon, making your Base Speed Stat go from 95 to 142.5.

Azumarill's nature helps a lot, it's a reverse Modest Nature that Electivire has. This will only work if Azumarill has Huge Power and not any other ability. Aqua Tail is a good move so this really helps a lot. Take out Ice Beam, Surf and Dive since they don't really help. Give Azumarill SuperPower which will do a lot of damage and give coverage. Give it Ice Punch from a tutor and it will give it near-perfect coverage as well. The 4th slot can either be Aqua Jet, for priority but its an egg move,  Double Edge, for another strong move but gives a recoil but not a decrease in stats, or Waterfall, one of the best physical Water moves. Azumarill has terrible speed, even giving a Choice Scarf would make its stat up to 75 and not good enough. So all you have to do is EV train for its Defense and Special Defense to increase since that's its better stat and it can make him/her a tank-killing machine. Give it a Life Orb to do even better damage or if you EV trained it, then give it Leftovers.

Unfezant isn't the best but I guess if you want to use it then use it. Take out Air Slash, he has terrible Special Attack anyways. Same goes for Facade, its only wonderful when it has a status alignment. Fly and Sky Attack are fine. It's really hard working with Unfezant. U-Turn would be good for Scouting and giving damage. Toxic could be nice since you do have good speed. In order for this to work, you should either go for two Choice items, Band or Scarf. Choice Band if you want to do better damage, or Choice Scarf to hit fast or get Toxic on it and run.

Sandslash isn't doing well with its Nature, it increases its terrible Special Attack and decreases its terrific Defense. X-scissor is better than Dig, but you are doing good with your moves. For items its your choice. If its Choice Scarf but you gotta let up Sword Dance if you want to use it, or just go for Life Orb.

Muk's nature messes it up too, I mean it increases its Defense which is okay, but it decreases its best offensive stat. At this point, Muk is a Tank. It's ability should be Stench, which makes the opponent flinched. It's moves should be Acid Armor, Gunk Shot, and Toxic. The 4th slot should either be Pain Split to increase your HP when your HP is low but the targets HP is high. It can also be Giga Drain to get more HP. EV training will help a lot also, invest in Defense, Special Defense and HP. Mainly Defense and Special Defense though. The item should be Black Sludge, to restore its HP and its also a Poison type so it only works for him.

You are fine, its all about hitting hard and fast and surviving.

Will I need to do EV training to do this? I've never EV trained before since I haven't done much competitive battling, but I could figure it out if I have to.

Yes for Azumarill and possibly Muk. It will really help a lot. You can do it for them all really.

Emboar: Attack, Speed and a bit in HP.

Electivire: Attack, Speed and a bit in SpD.

Azumarill: Defense, Special Defense and a bit in Attack or HP.

Unfezant: Attack, Speed, and a bit in HP.

Sandslash: Attack, Defense/Speed, and a bit in Speed/Defense.

Muk: 252 Defense, 220 Special Defense and 36 in HP.

Where are some good places to train post-game? Any new team members would probably be somewhere around lv 20 and lower, and I'd want them to get up to around 75.

White Forest, trainers and Audinos.

Oh my god the champion tournament.

I almost went INSANE trying to finish this tournament, especially Cynthia and her cheap Garchomp of Doom

It took me over 15 TRIES to win the Champion Tournament

Whoa, that's a detailed answer. ._. So I won't need to switch around any team members, then? That's good, since I really like what I have now. xD Is it too late for EV training at this point? I can figure out where to go to do it properly, I just don't know if my Pokemon are at too high of levels to do it properly. Thanks for the answer! :D

You don't have to but there are better Pokémon suited for the job. PWT is a mix of competitive and casual gameplay. One thing you should notice is that all your Pokémon are physical attackers, a person with high Defense might take a while to take down. It's never too late, PWT is not going anywhere. If you have already invested your EV points accidentally (fighting random Pokémon and being genocidal against Audinos for EXP counts) , the best thing to do if you want the same Pokémon is to breed a new Pokémon with a good nature (and if I listed an egg move, a good egg move). Then you can battle with that Pokémon and add EV points. No problem. :P

Alright, I think I might make some team adjustments then. I've got a few Pokemon I have in mind to use, I think I'll have a separate team for the PWT.
