I logged back into Labyrinth Online, taking a look around Crimson City. "Back in the game again!" I shouted, glad to be back to my in-game alter ego. I ran over to the nearby fields, ready to do some grinding. "I'm not sure if the others are on yet... I'll just get a headstart then, I guess!" I weaved my way through buildings and people, probably making a fool of myself as usual. I couldn't help it when I had the same appearance as Black Star.

Then the annoying Felix jumped on my back, yelling "Mush Mush!"

 

"HEY MAN! STOP IT NOW!" I shook Felix off of me and he landed on top of Black Star. "Sorry Axel, HE'S YOUR PROBLEM NOW!" I flew faster then ever to escape from him.

Xiro opened up his menu and looked at the different bars that existed on them.  "Looks like there's a party menu here.  How about we party for the time being?"

"Good idea, Xiro!" I answered, accepting Xiro's invitation.  Ren did the same.

 

We kept walking away from Green Plains, since there happened to be only one way out and the other side of the place was blocked by a huge river.  I looked back towards the said body of water and looked at my two teammates.  "Yeah, it's best if we head this way.  I guess we can ask anyone we happen to meet where Violet City is."

Ren looked at me, while my back was turned.  "You know Xiro's the leader of the party right?"
"So?" I asked with a quick rebuttal.

"So... Xiro should be leading."

"Fine!" I said, moving behind Xiro and pushing him forward.

"Juan, what the?" Xiro said in surprise, being jerked forward.  Xiro activated his menu again and switched the party leader to me.  "There, I'm not gonna lead us."

"Why not?" Ren and I asked in bewilderment.

"Well for one thing, I have no idea where we're going and for another, if we do get lost, which we most likely will, we can blame you," Xiro said.
"Well thanks!" I said, rubbing the back of my head and moving back to the front of our trio.  The two began to laugh as I turned around, walking backwards.  I couldn't help but laugh with them, they were my friends after all.  The ones that would help us finally conquer the first boss in that dimly lit dungeon.

We continued on our path, only to be stopped by one of the guards from the small village we hailed from.  "Wait!!" a guard yelled from the distance.  He ran with great speed towards us, but what did he want with us?  Did he find out about our exploits? I thought to myself, touching my two friend's shoulders, signaling them to be cautious.  We waited for the guard to catch up to us on red alert.

 

"Phew!" The guard said, gasping for air and wiping the sweat that had accumulated on his forehead.  "You've been invited to meet the Green King," he uttered to us, handing us a note with the Green King's royal seal."Woah!" Ren said in surprise.

"This is the real deal.""Yeah," Xiro concurred.

 

Ren quickly grabbed the note and flustered around, opening it.  "For someone who's supposed to be Lie Ren, you're acting a lot like Neos," I said to Ren.

"Psh."  Ren read the note and quickly summarized that we're needed for an important strategic meeting.  

"Well this is interesting," Xiro said, ending the conversation there.

 

The guard opened another package he happened to be carrying and gave us six scrolls.  "Those are return scrolls.  The green ones return you to Green Plains and the white ones return you to a place you've previously been before, by your choice," the guard explained to us.

 

"So we can immediately go back here after the meeting if we so choose to?" I asked him to clarify a bit more.

"If you please."And with that the three of us and the guard teleported back to the small town square.

"That's more like it!!!" Felix yelled, tying the gas petal down as well as the wheel,Felix got out of the car and ripped off the hood. After a bit of hot wireing and increasing the rpm, we caught up with the others speed, over to star " you may be quick and agile, but were the Felix twins!!! We're insane and irrational!!!" We said while popping a wheelie, " race ya!!"

The group marched towards the small hut that would be considered the palace of the Green King.  They were all hesitant, but remembering that they were welcomed and even invited by the king himself, reassured their doubts.

 

"Ah!  Welcome, future heroes of Green Plains!" the King boasted with a very deep voice.

 

We were all surprised to see that the outside of the hut did not accurately represent the inside.  It was huge.  As large as any King's palace would be.  "Woah!" Ren and I yelled.

 

"Ah, I see you like our interior, do you?" the King said.  "I have brought you all here today to aid you in your quest of liberating Labyrinth."  The Green King motioned his left hand as guards appeared from behind the curtains and through the doors.  Three of them appeared holding a pillow with a crystal on it.

"What are these?" I asked.

"Gems?" Xiro responded.

"They are growth crystals.  You will attach them to your attire and they will help your equipment grow with you.""What?" Ren asked in befuddlement.

"Basically, we won't need to go to Violet City," Xiro completed the thought.

"Exactly."

"With this your equipment will go through rapid transformations as you do the same, but be warned, these magnify everything around you," the Green King continued.

"What do you mean?" I asked, now a bit worried.

"If you have the slightest dark thought, it will double it.  If you are injured, it will multiply the injury.  If you die, you will die forever.""What!?!" we all yelled.  

"Why didn't you tell us that earlier?" I asked, "BEFORE we put it on our equipment."The Green King shrugged has he massaged his beard hair.  "I don't know, I didn't think it mattered."Xiro grabbed his master sword and tried to cut off the part of the sleeve that had contained the gem.  The sword was deflected.  We were all taken aback as the King explained the rest.  "Do not worry, as long as you don't die before you log off, you will be fine.  The gems are permanent though.  Whether you create a new character or not, they will stay on your persons.  The only way to rid yourselves of it is to clear the first dungeon under the name of the Green King."

 

"You're crazy!" Ren yelled.

"That maybe so, but if you fail, I won't be the one to die.""We can just not log in anymore!" I said, looking at my menu.

"The gems are connected to you spiritually, if you choose not to return the system will automatically delete your character.""So, what you're saying is, we have to do this," Xiro said, accepting the planned out destiny.

"Yes."The Green King gave us a couple more items to aid in our journey and sent us off.  He also gave us a pretty detailed map of Labyrinth and we decided to just walk to Lake Aqua and pick up some necessities.  We decided not to add any revival items in our list since it wouldn't matter, at least for now, but a lot of max heal ones.  And with our plan set, we headed for Lake Aqua, the town of merchants.

"These gems look funny," I said to the group, a bit confused.  

"I don't understand what was his motives..." Xiro thought.

 

Ren checked his pockets to notice something missing.  "Oh no!" he yelled out as we looked back.

"What?" we both asked in response.

"My money, it's gone!" "What?  You can't do that here!  That's against the game rules!" I answered him, checking my own pockets.

"Maybe not," Xiro thought, as we all stopped in our tracks.  "He gave us gems and items that could possibly total up to max money.""What!?!" Ren yelled.

I rubbed my chin.  "That would explain why we couldn't chop the gems before.  We were still under the transaction."Xiro looked at his gem and tried to cut it again, this time severing from his clothing.  I did the same and so did Ren.  "We've been duped.""How could we believe such an obvious lie?" Xiro asked.

"We were too high up in our pedestals.  Now we're gonna have to collect the money again..." I said, looking back at the grass."Nope, we've cut most of the grass and slain most of the monsters here and by the time they respawn, I bet the glitch will be fixed.""You're right, Xiro.  But we can't go to the market place with no money.""Maybe not, but if the Green King or whoever he really was tricked us into buying these duds (gems), we can trick people in Lake Aqua also," Ren said, very profoundly as we were both surprised.

"How confident are you in your bargaining?" I asked him.

"Very."We looked to the horizon and continued walking.  "By the way, we still have all six scrolls thanks to your quick thinking Xiro," I said turning around."Who said we all had to use a scroll?" he asked, "Good thing the guard wasn't paying attention when he was teleporting."

((Yeah, I realized the glitch was an unfair advantage and so I wrote a way for them to lose it all.))

 

We continued our way to Lake Aqua and made it to the merchants just on the outskirts of the actual town.  To our surprise, they were very hard bargainers.  We could only manage to get 1/16th of the money we had lost from them and that was with Ren's very high diplomatic experiences.  "Oh well," Ren said.  "At least we have some money."  

 

We began to head backwards, hearing the update in the sky and looking at Xiro, mister know it all.  "See, I told you guys."

"Maybe we'll meet some new players in Green Plains!" I said ecstatically, trying to put the money scam behind us.

I got the PM from NBm saying what Felix does. "Oh great." And i sighed a loud sigh. "This is gonna suck so badly." I sent a PM back to Neverbetter and Black Star saying "Do you think we should kill Felix and while he respawns we escape? We don't need a troll following us honestly, it'll just make things worse. I could kill him by just obliterating his entire being with my Super Kamehameha if you want?"

I got the PM from NBm saying what Felix does. "Oh great." And i sighed a loud sigh. "This is gonna suck so badly." I sent a PM back to Neverbetter and Black Star saying "Do you think we should kill Felix and while he respawns we escape? We don't need a troll following us honestly, it'll just make things worse. I could kill him by just obliterating his entire being with my Super Kamehameha if you want?"

"Though you're gonna have to find a way to teach my avatar to do that, I like the idea, you can do it, if you feel like expending the energy." NeverBetter messaged back to Spider.

NeverBetter wrote back "We could just kill him again, loot him, and leave him for dead, we know he's just gonna get in the way, and if we don't wanna be that mean, just use your Soul Force to jump and "Accidentally" make a big crater, wrecking his car..." I sent it back.

 

I got the PM from NBm saying what Felix does. "Oh great." And i sighed a loud sigh. "This is gonna suck so badly." I sent a PM back to Neverbetter and Black Star saying "Do you think we should kill Felix and while he respawns we escape? We don't need a troll following us honestly, it'll just make things worse. I could kill him by just obliterating his entire being with my Super Kamehameha if you want?"

 

"Though you're gonna have to find a way to teach my avatar to do that, I like the idea, you can do it, if you feel like expending the energy." NeverBetter messaged back to Spider.

My inner nice guy kicked in. "What if we can get him to prove that he's a good fighter...? I don't want to kill him myself, I've still got a pretty clean record with PKing... If you guys want to, I guess you could." I replied to them, feeling bad about not wanting to do it myself.

We all continued back to Green Plains, thinking about getting our revenge with the Green King impostor.  Just the thought of being scammed made our blood boil, but before getting there, Ren had found a book lying on the floor, picking it up and reading it as we continued our journey.

 

((Questions: Are we allowed to do sidequests?  If we are, what are the rules for them?  What can we actually do for them?  What prizes are we allowed to get?  Can we get temporary stat boosts to help like a potion that gives us extra defense only during a boss run?))

Kurami booted up her computer, spinning around in her chair as it loaded and clicking on "Labyrinth Online" about a million times until the program FINALLY pulled it up.

'I suck at MMO's...' she thought, logging on. Violet City formed around her, she took the appearance as her avatar on KH13, longer black hair, a nice lolita dress, detached sleeves, and two black cat-ears popped up on her head, a demon tail to complete the appearance.

"Yay Violet City~!" she exclaimed.

Kurami began walking the streets (Reading back I realize Hazimie is in Violet City). She was being rather careless hopping around....and running straight into Hazimie.

"S-Sorry!!" she bowed, stepping back some.

She looked up at him and stuttered back some more.

'I'm doomed...'
