Details change sometimes, but its always the same general dream. Cars are destroyed, bodies lying all across the highway, blood smeared all over my sister and her sons body. Sometimes its because of texting. Sometimes its because of faulty red lights. But in the end, they're always dead. This time, I was at the funeral... and I couldn't do anything but hold my niece and cry. I wake up balling every time, and when it happens, it reminds me that one day I am going to lose my family, and I don't want that to happen. I'm trying my best to compose myself right now, but its hard. I wouldn't be typing this if I didn't want help. I need help. How can I stop this nightmare from occurring again? Someone, please.

Maybe...I don't know. Some time as funny as it sounds, I get Paradox Nightmares. You know, the ones where the EXACT same thing happens and your vision keeps panning inside, to make a paradox, and you can't do anything about it? Yeah. I had a nightmare about multiplying finger nails. It was really weird, but my vision kept panning, and even though I wanted to, I couldn't stop it, as hilarious as it sounds. :/

Dreams are caused by REM(Rapid Eye Movement) so flip your pillow over and move things in your room around a bit and you should stop having the nightmare. This doesn't mean that putting them back will cause the dream to reoccur, it just means that doing it once should get rid of it.

Woa: and I thought MY nightmare was bad.

Try emptying your mind, and concentrate on something insanely happy just as you fall asleep. I think about the " It's A Small World ": lyrics. Seem dumb? No nightmares in three weeks thanks to that little tune. Just force all thoughts out, and mental play that song, concentrating hard on the lyrics. Do it RIGHT AS you fall asleep, or it won't work.

Hope I helped! ;)

Want to know what wakes me up out of almost any dream? Simply acting differently than I feel I am supposed to in the dream. Like if you are supposed to run one way, try to focus on the environment or start running the otherway. Try to throw your self off the rails set for your dream.  The only time doing something like that didn't wake me up, is when I was having a "nightmare" and I called in turned into an alternate "dream-self"  that could deal with it. (though when I was becoming that dreamself and bringing it to the dream I actually caused a hole in that dream's reality. lol

Anyways, I hope you figure something out. Also it is possible that your mind thinks you are going down a path that will make you lose all your family (probably move far away from them or something), and it is warning you. But I have no idea.

Hmmm... Yeah, I do know about how dreams occur, but the fact that you have noticed a recurring theme is rather quite... interesting.

If your sister actually has the habit of texting and driving, STOP HER IMMEDIATELY. It may [as scary as this may sound] be a premonition of sorts and giving you a chance to prevent something down the path of life.

Though, there are also different ways to interpret this dream, taking it in a symbolic approach rather than at face value. Can you remember anything about this dream? Get into specific details, from start to finish. This can help in identifying the core issue, as in drems, everything is usually symbolic as your brain tries to sort and store information. [There's a reason why I have my notes page ready every night before I go to sleep. The more detailed you can get for the dream, the better you can make sense of things.]
