During the scene where riku tells sora the door is open in kh1 , he says he's not afraid of the darkness. But how could he know about darkness unless xehanort heartless told him which I doubt it (riku never talked to ansem until after he battled sora in hollow bastion if memory serves me right). Also how could he even possibly know that opening the door would lead to the outside world. This part is something I don't really get , can someone please shed some light into this matter.

Ansem was on the islands and talked to Riku, and that's how the door was opened. Neither Riku or Sora knew how to open it, but Ansem would, definitely, however. He foes to Riku, as he needs a vessel to use in order to gain control of Kingdom Hearts, and Riku had a large portion of darkness in his heart, as well as a huge desire to leave the islands, which made him a perfect vessel.

Ansem was on Destiny Islands. In Re:Coded, it shoes that Ansem open the portal of darkness that lead to Hollow Bastion. Ansem knew Maleficent would probably be there. Anselm set Riku on his path to darkness.

Well according to nomura to Sora riku comes first in a gay-like relationship.

Kairi's his bff and don and goofy last.

 

But thanks to Disney and Western Ausdiences the games get tailored for it should be Kairi and Sora's love relationship. Riku's his bro and dona nd goofy are best buds.
