Quick question that I wanted answered for a long time. Maybe it's a dumb question, but I'd love to have an answer to it ><

So about young Xehanort and the time travel thingy. One of the rules of time travel say "you have to leave your body behind to do it", but young Xehanort did not leave his body behind, did he? Or did I miss something?

I think it's because it was Ansem SOD who sent him through time instead of him doing it on his own. Not sure though.

Ansem SoD gave him the power to time travel so YMX didn't have to give up his body .Then YMX later used this power to pick up /summon other Norts without any of them needing to cast the body away.

Ah, I see. I kinda suspected this, but wasn't sure if it was really the reason. Thanks! o/

You are welcome xD

So, you mean that whoever got the ((power)) of time travel can leave with his body, but the one who doesn't need to leave his body behind?

Wait what ? I'm saying that Ansem SoD possessed the power and transferred it to YMX so YMX wouldn't need to toss aside his body to gain this power on his own .Since he was able to time travel the other Norts didn't need to toss aside their bodies either bc YMX just needed to pick them up or summon them . Im confused on what you are asking ?

Sooooo how come these rules never applied to the Timeless River world? Was it due to the gate or something?

Different rules, really.

Different ways of time travel = different rules

Yup!

Plus, there had to be another version of himself waiting at the destination. Just saying so no one forgets.

True but that had nothing to do with answering the question of whether YMX had to leave his body behind or not. Just sayin'
