Over 4 Million Copies of Pokemon X and Y Sold

Posted

48 hours after the release of Pokemon X and Y, over 4 million copies were sold.

This is a huge boost from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl when 1.75 million copies were sold within a week.

Pokemon making a lot of debut in top News Hubs as well especially Yahoo, TIME and Forbes.

Still haven't gotten it myself. Don't own a 3DS -_-

Actually that's more than 48 hours. It's more like 70 hours since Australia got it almost a day before NA.

Well, hopefully that means MORE KINDS OF PEOPLE are going to be on pokemon forums now, but i'm STILL going to shy away for 10 years or so anyways i guess.

Because people like me, apperently, never go online.

MY LIFE IS A NIGHTMARE AND I'M JUST A KID.

To be fair, this is the first time Pokemon has released in all territories at the same time, so comparing sales with previous games is a little tough.

They are fantastic sales though and well deserved for the games!

We get it you live in Austrailia, cools. Oh no Pokemon sold 4 million copies in 2 and a half days D:

The bottom line is it still sold a lot of copies in a small space of time regardless of whether Japan or Australia got it "earlier" than some people (Europe) who were probably asleep at the time.

That wasn't my point. My point is Australia started selling it at 9PM AEDST on Friday which is 06:00AM on Friday in North America's EST.

Australia probably makes up around 1% of these sales, so it really doesn't matter.

The world wide release was a good idea then.
