After having helped out at the hotel Richissime and visiting a couple stores, Yui had finally returned home. She kicked off her shoes, and sat down at her desk. She could finally spend her birthday relaxing... It wasn't all that fun having to spend a day as important as her eighteenth birthday working all day, after all. She booted up her computer, but was quickly interrupted by her mother. "Yui, there's someone here to see you!" Her mother told her. Yui stood up and turned to face her mother.

 

"Really? I knew no one would forget today!" She rushed to the door, but was greeted by a woman she'd never met before. "Uh..." She tried to think of something to say. What was this woman doing here?

 

"Oh, so you must be Yui! I'm Serena." The woman introduced herself. "I'm here to give you a request..." She handed Yui a Pokeball and a Pokedex, "As well as a gift."

 

Yui looked at the Pokeball and Pokedex. "Wait, I get these?" She asked, and called out the Pokemon in the Pokeball. She was greeted by an energetic Totodile, which instantly ran around her in circles. Yui laughed, and picked the Pokemon up. "It already likes me! I think I'll name him... Tide!" She held the Pokemon out, and smiled at him.

 

"Uh... There's business involved, too." Serena reminded Yui. "You see... Professor Sycamore has requested that you join four other trainers in a quest to set off around Kalos with the Pokedex. He doesn't care exactly what it is you do during the journey, so long as you complete your Pokedex. He suggested the Pokemon Gym challenge, for example..."

 

"A journey around Kalos...? Sure, especially if I get to go with this little guy!" Yui agreed, grinning widely. She'd never had a birthday gift like this before. She looked to her mother for approval, who nodded.

 

"I was already asked about this. The Professor asked me to keep it a surprise for your birthday." She told her daughter, smiling.

 

"Great! In that case, I'd like you to step outside with me..." Serena led Yui outside, and sent out a Talonflame. Yui stared at it in amazement and Serena climbed aboard it. "Are you coming?" Serena held out her hand for Yui. Yui nodded, and joined Serena atop the Pokemon. The two flew off in the distance on Talonflame.

 

Yui was shocked by how fast the Pokemon traveled. In what seemed like a few seconds, they had already landed in Aquacorde town. "We're here!" Serena told her. She led Yui to a group of picnic tables outside. "This is where Professor Sycamore asked the others to meet us in his letters... He also said that Shauna was sent to Vaniville to get the ones there, and Trevor is heading to find Ludicus..." She muttered to herself. Meanwhile, Yui waited for her new companions... She hoped they'd be somewhere around her age.

(sorry i havent been posting i got caught doing allot of school projects so i was only posting on thinks were i absolutely needed to but im up to date with most of my projects now so i should be posting more often from now on hopefully)

 

Joe and Eevee both looked towards Nelson and his Chespin a look of determination on both there faces Nelson looked at Joe slightly intimated "Yikes those eyes sure are creepy" to Nelsons remark Joe tilted his head in confusion but then quickly shock it off and looked to Eevee "Alright Eevee lets go quick attack and double team together!" with out even waiting fro Nelson to respond to Joe's sudden command Eevee quickly took off in the direction of Chespin the small grass type looked at Eevee unsure as to how to react as Eevee moved at high speed now using double team as well to make it look as f 5 Eevee's were moving towards him Joe looked to Chespin who was confused and then to Nelson "You know this is normally the part where you try and fight back before your partner takes damage" Nelson looked at Joe for a moment dumbstruck untiil he finally reacted "owe ya am right a Chespin Tackle attack lets go" Chespin looked to Nelson an unsure look on his face until suddenly Chespin was knocked back by Eevee as Eevee hit the Chespin a number of times using quick attack Joe let out a slight sigh as he instantly began to figure out the type of trainer he had in front of him Joe then looked to Eevee "Eevee come on we're leaving" The small pokemon looked to Joe for a moment but then nodded as he ran over to his trainer and jumped up onto his shoulder as Joe began to leave Nelson looked to him in shock "wait what why are you leaving the battle isn't over yet" Joe suddenly stopped and looked to Nelsons Chespin "I'd say otherwise" just then Nelson looked to Chespin to see the small pokemon had fainted "WHAT NO WAY!" "This is my bad so I should say sorry if i had known you were a newbie i wouldnt of taken you on" Nelson ran over to Chespin and picked him up as he did he glared towards Joe "Who are you calling a newbie when your no better then me you just got lucky is all" Joe turned his back to Nelson and began to walk away from the young trainer "Trust me when i say this but that wasn't luck and i'm no newbie trust me on that" 

"No, you can if you want. I'm perfectly content to watch." Robert said in responce to Yui, and then sat down.

 

(By the way, how does exp. work in this role play? I was thinking that mabey evoryone's pokemon starts at Lv.5, and then Levels up each time they deefeat another pokemon. Does that sound good? By the way, since Colossus didn't really defeat Tide, I won't count that.)

(I hadn't thought of EXP since I wasn't planning on doing this as a stat-based RP... I think that every defeat would be a little too much. Everyone's starting at level 5, I'll come up with a level formula though. Thanks for bringing it up. )

 

 

(I checked some of Torkoal's moves and I saw it could know withdraw at level 7 so I just threw it there and gave it an egg move to balance it out. but I guess ill change it if I have to)

 

Abyss smiled "I guess its decided then" he said as he walked a few steps back so there was a decent distance away from the pokemon. then he prepared the notebook. "you don't mind if I take notes about your pokemon while I battle you, right?"

 

Torkoal stood there with puffs of smoke coming out of its back

"Right." Yui nodded to Robert, then faced her opponent. "I haven't even introduced myself yet... I'm Yui. Also, of course you can take notes! I don't mind!" She smiled, honored to be an example for the trainer.

Ruby walked as she stared down at her map. Empress was enjoying her walk as the sunlight warmed her fur. But soon she ended up bumping into Ruby's leg as Ruby had stopped walking. Empress ran up and climbed onto Ruby's shoulder as Ruby glanced up at the entrance of the big Santalune Forest. Empress and Ruby glanced at eachother before Ruby got the map away in her backpack. "Well then,lets get going."Ruby said as she walked inside the forest. It was filled with live as the sunlight did its best to shine through the endless leaves of the trees. Ruby carefully removed the hood from her head and looked around,her eyes gleaming. Her red hair seemed so out of place considering the green scenery. "Wow...this is actually rather pretty..."Ruby muttered as she walked around,light on her feet as she walked across the tall grass. It was then when she stepped on something and heard a shriek. She jumped back and looked down to see an odish squirming out from beneath the ground. It seemed Ruby had stepped on its leaves while it rested. "Omg I am so sorry."Ruby said as the Odish stuck its tounge out at Ruby and simply walked away. Ruby sighed a bit and continued to walk. "This place sure is nice. It's not hot neither it's to cold."Ruby muttered as Empress rested on her shoulders. Suddenly Empress sniffed the air and looked up,staring at specific location. "What's wrong girl?"Ruby asked as she looked up and followed Empress' gaze. She walked over to some bushes and pushed them away from her path,and what a surprise,there was a Weedle nest within the bushes. Ruby's eyes gleamed as she smiled. She usually wasn't one for bug pokemon but...these were just to cute. "Oh my goodness why hello~"Ruby said as she knelt down. The Weedles stared at her curiously. Ruby carefully offered her hand and the Weedles rubbed against it warmly. Ruby always did had a certain effect on pokemon,when given the chance. "Aw you guys are so cute. Oh I bet you're all gonna grow up to be strong pokemon~"Ruby said with a smile as she then heard the loud buzzing noise of a familiar pokemon. She ever so slowly turned only to see a hoard of angry Bedrills staring down at her and Empress. The two girls exchanged glances before turning their gaze to the beedrill,and then made a run for it. Ruby ran as fast as she could,leaving clouds of dust behind her trail as the Bedrills persecuted. "What is wrong with me today?! TODAY IS DEFINATLY NOT THE DAY I WAS HOPING IT TO TURNED OUT TO BE!"Ruby said as Empress ran right besides her. The two ran until their feet ached and burned. When Ruby looked back,the Bedrills weren't chasing them anymore. She huffed,panting as she smiled a bit. "Well it looks like we lost them,huh,Empress?"Ruby asked. But no response. Where was Empress? She looked around worringly. "Empress?!"Ruby called,only to hear a plea from her pokemon. She ran up,following the complained plea only to see Empress stuck in a giant spider web.

"my name is Abyss, im not planning to be a trainer though. Im a researcher in the making." he said with a smile before he looked at his Torkoal. "so are you ready to begin?"

"A researcher? Heh, that sounds even tougher than the life of a trainer... Well, yeah, I'm ready! Get 'im, Tide!" Tide jumped out from behind Yui, ready to fight.

"alright then ladies first" said Abyss with a slight bow

 

Torkoal let loose a lot of smoke from the top of its body as well as its nostrils

"Heh, alright then. Tide, use scratch!" Tide rushed for Torkoal, preparing to swipe across the Pokemon with its claws.

"Torkoal use smog!" Abyss commanded.

 

Torkoal opened its mouth and purple smoke came out of it.

And so the party left Vaniville and headed for Aquacorde. (Idk what you say we need to get this thing moving and unite everyone)

 

"Geez, you guys are so zetta slow!" Sho shouted behind him as he jogged along Route 1. "It's not like we have all the time in the world."

Fortunately, Bulbasaur [still yet to be named] didn't have any problems keeping up. "Hah, you must be just as excited as I am, right buddy?" Bulbasaur made a sound of agreement (Idk what he does, growl?) 

Sho abruptly stopped. "Ugh, can't leave the others in the dust now, can we?" He turned to them. "C'mon! Who wants to race to Aquacorde?"

"Torkoal use smog!" Abyss commanded.

Totodile ran straight through the smoke, trying to attack the Torkoal. It inhaled a little bit of it, becoming poisoned. "Tide!" Yui shouted, worried about her Pokemon. It kept going though, focused on attacking the Torkoal.

Torkoal was hit but thanks to its hard shell it didn't take very much damage. "Torkoal use smog again"

As the two trainers battled, Robert cairfully watched. He may not have had a note pad, but he was taking mental notes. He then noticed Colossus running past him towards a group of people off in the distence heading towards them(Xiro, Dimension Slayer, and the others.)

"Tide, dodge!" Yui commanded her Totodile to dodge, and he did manage to avoid the attack this time. "Use another scratch attack!" Tide rushed towards Torkoal again.

Torkoal took the hit again "Torkoal use Clear Smog" the pokemon let loose an unseen gas around its body.

Torkoal took the hit again "Torkoal use Flame Burst!" said Abyss then Torkoal opened its mouth to let off the fiery shot.

(I don't see Torkoal having Flame Burst in its moveset... It's too powerful for this point, anyway, sorry.)

Torkal opened its mouth and used Smog once more straight infront of totodile.

Ruby freaked the hell out. "E-E-EMPRESS!!!"Ruby yelled as she ran up to the giant spiderweb where Empress was moving around like crazy trying to get out. "Hold on Empress,I'll get you out!"Ruby said as she grabbed Ruby and started to pull. Empress and Ruby groaned and whined as Ruby pulled Empress trying to pull her off the giant spiderweb. Wasn't working rather well so far. "O-Oi,this this spiderweb is sticky as hell!!!"Ruby yelled as she pulled even harder. But soon enough her hands slipped from Empress' soft fur and Empress started to bounce back and forth from the spiderweb. "Gah!"Ruby yelled as she threw her arms forward to catch Empress,but instead ended up missing Empress completely and pretty much launching herself and landing on the spiderweb. When she tried to pull back her hoodie was fully stuck on the sticky thick spiderweb. "Oh come on! Q-Q"Ruby complained as she looked down,getting rather depressed. "I don't know why the world hates me cause our adventure so far absolutely SUCKS."Ruby said as she just closed her eyes,resting. Empress sighed and looked around,her eyes suddenly widened and she started to flip the f*ck out,whining and yelling to get Ruby's attention. "What's wrong? I'm trying to think of a way to get us out of he-"Ruby said as she lifted her head. Her eyes widened. The pokemon known as Arachnid started to crawl down the giant webs from the trees. There were atleast 7. Not much to her amusement. "HOLY MOTHER OF ARCEUS!!!"She screamed as she and Empress glanced at eachother and only pulled around more desparatly. "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Joe was wondering through a forest with Eevee looking around at a constant rate examining the area and trying to adapt to the new region he found himself in all the while trying to locate one or two pokemon that may end up helping him on his journey until at a sudden moment Joe and Eevee rapidly began to scan the area as they heard the sound of a girl screaming quickly the two took off in the direction of the screaming until they found a girl held in a large web with seven Ariados moving towards the girl there pincers at the ready Joe looked to eevee as he quickly gave a small pokemon a single command "Eevee Iron Tail" quickly the small pokemon took off at move speed as he used iron tail to break the ariados web holding the girl hostage as the girl and here small vulpix as the girl and vulpix ran behind Joe the ariados looked to joe and eevee rather ticked off that they had just taken there meal away but joe only smirked "sorry boys but can't let you go eating a damsel in distress now can i" as joe spoke he reached into his bag and pulled out a small food container then opening the container joe pulled out some pokemon food and placed it down infront of the ariados "Here this should hold you over till you find something else" the ariados looked at joe for a moment until they happily took the food away and left joe then looked to the young girl behind him and smiled "You okay"

By this point Empress was hiding inside of Ruby's hoodie,sticking her head out to see as the two shook sitting on the ground. So far their 'wonderful pokemon world experience' was anything but. Ruby shook her head,her eyes gleaming with a few tears at the boy. "W-We're fine,t-thank you!!!"Ruby said as she and Vulpix ssuddenly got their hands to the ground and pressed their foreheads against the ground. "Thank you for saving our butts!"Ruby said as Empress agreed with her words. She then straightened up,her hood falling off as her red blazing hair seemed to gleam with the small bits of sunlight coming through the trees. "I-It was amazing how you handled those pokemon. You didn't even falter even though they were like,this big!"Ruby said as she extended her arms to either side as far as she could to emphasize their size as Empress agreed and extended her paws to her sides as well. Ruby picked up Empress and held her close as Empress crawled up resting on Ruby's shoulders as it was as small. Ruby looked up at the boy once more. "Pokemon seem to get along with you too. I haven't had luck like that ever since I left home a few hours ago."Ruby said as she rubbed Empress' head. Ruby had talked all this time but didn't really do much eye contact at all,considering even though this boy had pretty much saved her life,she was still somewhat socially awkward. Ruby then stood up,not standing rather tall considering she was only 5 feet and one inch tall. "Um,well,"She glanced at him,but not making direct eye contact. "I'm Ruby,and this is Empress."
