Whenever a Japanese game pop up that has even the slightest glimpse of nudity....people just gather around it and use it as an example of why Japanese people are awkward and weird...even though the game doesn't have much nudity

 

But when a western game like GTA 5 jams lots of nudity in your face or a game like heavy rain where you can take a shower with madison...etc,they see it as totally fine and acceptable ......What's the difference??

 

Why people go insane over one scene  with nudity in a Japanese game but when it's done in a western game it's suddenly acceptable??

 

Is it because people worry too much about those sort of things or is it just everything western is cool and AMERICA **** YEAH!!!!

 

A nudity is a nudity regardless of which game it's coming from,I won't judge every single person in Japan based on some nudity or hentai because,let's face it,EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD HAS SOME OF THOSE in one way or another....if you think Hentai is the all one source of sexual content....try an search a little bit in where you live

I think it's just the stigma attached to Japan. The country has popularized and is known for weird fetishes such as tentacle porn, train molestation, etc. which is weird for someone from the west who isn't familiar with this and they have associated these with Japan which makes nudity in JP games stand out more than western games.

Hentai. Cartoon characters and nudity is seen as pornographic (especially within the context of Japan) whereas more realistic games with nudity = art. For some reason.

Nudity in Family Guy is generally less sexualised than nudity in Japanese anime, but the same standards should be applied to both.

Some of them are just limited either to a shirtless guy or a shower scene

^ THIS!!I can not (THIS) enough for this post. I'm actually wanting to move to Japan soon. : O  The main reason this happens is because people, (ESPECIALLY Americans) will point out that someone is doing something weird or wrong, and they will do it too, and not give a ***. It's simple hypocrisy. That, or they actually think having sex in a video game is truly fine, but watching anime style porn online? OH NOW YOU ARE GOING TOO FAR. Either way; America.(Not gonna lie though, hentai ISN'T exactly the worst thing ever... *Whistles pretending nobody notices*)

Just because japanese nudity is pretty much associated with weird. That is why so many people like it. Like in MGS Peace Walker when looking at the designs of female characters, if you rotate it their boobs bounce around. Or the fact that at the end of the game you can get Snake to have sex with a young school girl.
