Disney characters done better in KH?

Posted

Do you think there are any Disney characters that are better portrayed in the Kingdom Hearts games than in the movies?

For example, I think that Santa Claus was a much better character in Kingdom Hearts 2 than in "The Nightmare Before Christmas". In the game, he was portrayed as a kind and wise old man with, wheras in the movie he's kind of a jerk.

Honestly...no xD I think the characters were good (some better than others) but for the most part i didn't feel like any surpassed their original versions.

I don't really think they were better than the movies because the movies used way more time to develop the characters whereas KH more developed the story of the world with the characters being not as developed

Fool. The characters in the movies are THE characters. It's like trying to impersonate Morgan Freeman better than Morgan Freeman.

idk kh made me hate winnie the pooh so i would have to say no

Ok, you've got a point. I just noticed that I like the KH version of one of the Disney characters than the movie version(largely because he's not shown much in the movie anyway), and was wondering if anyone felt that way about other characters.

I think none of them are better than the ones in the real movies

The characters didn't really act like they did in the movies, because KH didn't really follow the movie that they were from.

Like it kept some parts to the movie, and other parts were blending it with the KH story.

I hope that made sense.

I feel that KH made me like some of those Disney characters more.

I think Kingdom Hearts did pretty good with most of the Disney Characters

Uh, why? Because of the minigames?

This is just personal preference, but KH is the only continuity where I enjoy Mickey, Donald, and Goofy (though the only exception for the latter is Goof Troop and the Goofy movies).  In terms of the movie characters, though, I honestly prefer their original incarnations.  Remember, Disney has to share the limelight with Sora and co., and the game itself can't handle the full scope of what the movies had to offer--KH's plot just can't fit it all.  The KH version of the Disney movies is more like an abridged, somewhat shallower version of the original that only gets the gist of what happened, not its full depth.  Don't get me wrong, Disney has an important place, but it's hard for me to say that short of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, that I prefer the KH incarnations of the Disney characters.

I actually prefer the characters in the movies and not other way around. It's not like I didn't like them in KH, they're okay, but they're way better in the original movies. In the movies we get to see the whole, original stories and the characters become more deeper, to me at least. But I do agree that the characters are a bit different in the movies and KH.

When I picture Disney characters in my head, I picture them in their original movies. They aren't really portrayed any better in the games than they were before.
