Posted November 13, 201311 yr YouTube now supports 1440p as an actual resolution rather than "Original". Seems pointless to me. YouTube only needs the following resolutions: Original (for 1440p, Ultra HD/4K & 8K) 1080p 720p 576p 480p 360p 240p Seriously, we don't need anything else.
November 13, 201311 yr There's currently no 1080p TV channels either. So I guess 1080p is pointless too? You're the one that brought up the TV channel thing as if it matteredI never said they can't use 1440p, I said "Original" (for 1440p, Ultra HD/4K & 8K). Have advanced resolutions that are hardly used under one.Do you think 720p and 1080p should be coupled together into a single option, like "HD" or something? Cause I could see where you're coming from if you think YouTube need to do this for the sake of simplicity, and have SD, HD, Original, or something like that. But to say that they shouldn't offer 1440p specifically because 1440p specifically is pointless, well I disagree with that

Well they used to kinda do it that way. I never said they shouldn't offer 1440p, I simply said since it's not commonly used and that it should be considered an advanced resolution and be under Original. They used to have it this way.
November 13, 201311 yr What YouTube needs is a solution to the comments section. There's hella spam now. I shouldn't have to link my Google + to YouTube to comment. I can't even comment because it continues to tell me that I've been logged out when it is obvious that I'm still logged in. Even YouTube's creator thinks it's stupid to even have such a thing happen. I dun see why there's a problem with the resolution set. But the major problem is the comment integration. Who the firetruck even likes Google+ in the first place?!

I find the comment system to be fine. Google has finally made it so all of it's services are connected on one account.
November 13, 201311 yr I find the comment system to be fine. Google has finally made it so all of it's services are connected on one account. It's broken and I refuse to get used to such a system until it's either taken back to the perfect "if it's not broken, don't fix it" stage or actually fixed. I should be able to make comments with no problem at all, but thanks to Google...I can no longer comment. Millions to billions of users completely hate it for various reasons. For me, I'd have no problem if it'd just stop saying that I've been logged out...

You do realise only seven billion people exist in this world, and not all of them use YouTube let alone have an account and let alone comment.

No need for Google+ anyways I find the comment system to be fine. Google has finally made it so all of it's services are connected on one account. However, there are people who don't have, or want a Google account. I've been having problems with my Youtube account because I don't have a Google account. I'll stick with my hotmail account until it dies
