in case you didnt already see my status, im into megaman now. ive been researching megaman and i found a bunch of people say something similar to this. "i know its hard to imagine but megaman used to be the face of capcom." this puzzled me. ive heard nothing but good things about megaman and i find it hard to believe that megaman is now out or something. what im talking about is this video at a few seconds before the 3:00 mark.

can someone explain to me what happened?

Capcom cancels all their recent Megaman games, and pretty much hasn't cared about him in years. This hasn't made him lose fans, but it's made a ton of MM fans pissed off at Capcom.

The creator of Mega Man left the company and started his own...Since then most of the upcoming Mega Man games have been canceled...Most feel it's in spite of him leaving...And now since they only have 152 million in the bank, yeah, he was the face of Capcom...

Well..Mega Man pretty much used to be Capcom's mascot. Now they are assholes who just want to piss everyone off. There has actually been 4 Mega Man games canceled (That we know about) Capcom has just been..horrible.

Also look up Mighty No.9. It's a new game that the creator Mega Man is making.

the last game made for Megaman was Megaman 10 in 2010

 

After that,Capcom kept on canceling every single game in the series and we haven't seen any Megaman game since 2011 up until now.

 

They've canceled four Megaman games:

 

Megaman Legends 3 for the 3DS in 2011

 

Megaman Universe for Ps3 and Xbox 360 in 2011

 

Rockman Online for the PC

 

And finally a reboot for the X series called Maverick Hunter,it was an FPS game

Yeah, what everybody has been saying is pretty much how it went. And it's pretty ridiculous. I don't know if Miyamoto is still with Nintendo or not, but Yuji Naka left SEGA and they didn't put up a fuss about it. So why is it that Capcom has to act like such a rotten kid!? I was holding out on Mega Man until there was a 3D game I could look forward to, but now it seems such a dream will never come. Still, I suppose I can still play all of the games that came before this temper tantrum. And Mighty No.9 sounds pretty promising.

I think they were already having problems back at Capcom...It was one of the main reasons he left...

Miyamoto is still in Nintendo,it's just his role on the development of Mario games won't be as big as it was in previous games

Oh, right.....hmmm, when you mention that, it get's me wondering if Naka either left SEGA or just Sonic Team, cause I know he is still involved with other games.

I just wish that Capcom would give another company the rights to MegaMan...They are not doing Diddly Squat with him, so give him to somebody who will....

If they want to get out of this rut....Bring back Mega Man Legends 3...I was on Capcom Years ago, not as a member, but just looking, and most want that....If they bring that back, and keep it the same way it was, believe me, this will probably bring them out of it...And they were doing a petition to get it back, a lot of people were joining...

Seeing how Capcom did jackshit for Megaman's 25th anniversary...I have little to no hope for Megaman unless a miracle happens to prove me wrong

That was a Street Fighter crystal chess set for Street Fighter's 25th anniversary last year....not for Megaman

 

what Megaman got was a card board game for Jasco that Capcom didn't bother to fund to the point Jasco needed to do a kickstarter to fund the board game
