PikaLink91 58 Posted November 26, 2013 Kingdom Hearts - Final Mix had a few new cutscenes added that where neither voiced in japanese nor english, and I was quite disappointed to see that they hadn't even taken their time to voice them for the 1.5 ReMIX, since they put effort into re-recording all the cutscenes in 358/2 Days. It's not THAT big a deal though, as only a couple new cutscenes had been added. But for Final Mix II in the 2.5 ReMIX, I hope to god that they at least do us that favor, as that game is heavily loaded with unvoiced cutscenes. Maybe it doesn't matter to many of you guys, but I LOVE the english voice acting in Kingdom Hearts, to me IT is part of the experience, and part of the magic. 2 Cucco and Elast0 reacted to this

MasterXemnas 2,285 Posted November 26, 2013 Fool. They won't be adding anything new like that. It wouldn't be part of the final mix experience.
Sora96 17,256 Posted November 26, 2013 There is voice acting for all new cutscenes in KH2FM and BBSFM. For KHFM's new cutscenes, King Mickey & Unknown had to be silent. So that just leaves Riku, and maybe the Japanese voice actor sounds different to ten years ago. 1 Handsome_the_Wise reacted to this
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) In KH1, it doesn't matter. The ones with the Unknown used old lines and the ones with Riku didn't really need redubbing. The scenes serve their purpose. I, however, do hope they redub lines for KH2FM. Most of the new scenes in KHIIFM have to do with the Organization and I think they'd lose something if they were left undubbed. Particularly the Xigbar scenes. I'd lose all immersion if I couldn't hear that sarcastic surfer-dude voice. BBSFM doesn't necessarily need to be dubbed, though I'd prefer that, as well. EDIT: Actually, I take that back. Yes it definitely does. Edited November 26, 2013 by Kaweebo

Like in the case of BBSFM, it'll be easy to record a few lines for Aqua.
Hazimie 1,595 Posted November 26, 2013 That's how we want to experiencing Final Mix again,so i think it's best to leave it just like that...
PikaLink91 58 Posted November 26, 2013 That's how we want to experiencing Final Mix again,so i think it's best to leave it just like that... Speak for yourself. I personally saw it as a flaw. Ofc they could have dubbed KHII FM in English since the game never went overseas, but I still thought it ruined the immersion. So no, that's NOT how I wanna re-experience it for th 2.5 ReMIX, thank you. There is voice acting for all new cutscenes in KH2FM and BBSFM. Umm, how do you know that? :-/ has it been officially announced somewhere?

Indeed, that is how you want, but i think there are some people who wants to leave it that way because indeed Nomura wants to remastering KH2FM,but he can't entirely changes it since it would ruin the original. And yeah,i know that he changes KHFM such as the reaction command (Triangle Button),but that's for the first-time player who wants to play the gameplay easier, but Nomura still don't change the voice on the cutscenes, including the unvoiced one. However,it is up to Nomura whether if he wants to be dubbed or not... Yes, that is indeed how I want it, and you know what, I'm certain that there are just as many people who also wants it like there are people who don't want it. But regardless, it wouldn't ruin the game, why would it? Nomura stated in the 1.5 ReMIX art book that his only regret was not being able to release FM for overseas fans, and I wanna BET that if he had been able to release the original FM internationally, he would have had the unvoiced cutscenes voiced, same goes for FMII and BBS FM. Having unvoiced cutscenes in FMII, in my eyes, makes the game "incomplete", and like I said earlier, part of my enjoyment of Kingdom Hearts comes from the voice acting, so having part of the game unvoiced ruins the immersion for me. Plus, if you have a game that is "incomplete" in certain aspects, lacks something, or has some kind of flaw, a re-release in the for of an HD Collection is the perfect opportunity for the developer to fix said issue. I get where you're coming from, that you want the game in it's 100% original form on the 2.5 ReMIX, but if so, why not just play the original game and let the rest of us who DO want fixes and changes have them in the re-release? (I know, that sounded kinds passive-aggresive, but that was not my intention)

I'm pretty sure there is a high fan preference of English dubbing the cutscenes. The scenes in KHFM made sense not to be voiced because the actors can't reach the original voice of the younger characters. However, KH2FM would be unnecessary to not have English dubbing of the cutscenes. The scenes did have Japanese voice-overs in the original KH2FM anyway, so it wouldn't make sense to have those audio files and just leave out new English audio.
