It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

 

 

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

 

 

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

 

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

 

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

 

 

 

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

 

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

 

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

 

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

 

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

 

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

Sora had been in the middle of buttoning her maid uniform (ane showing off, quite accidently, her black lace bra) when all the yelling started. She blinked, wondering how Aria had missed her exiting the bathroom...

Just sighing, Sora finished buttoning, then set her maid headdress between her hair.

"Im decent." She said softly.

Yuki turned over in her bed.

"WHY DO WE HAVE TO GET UP SO EARLLLYYYY....." She yelled, sitting up.

She jumped from her bed, running to get dressed. She was not a happy Faunus.

Yuki was soon done getting ready, looking at Davis and crossing her arms.

"There, I'm ready." She snapped.

 "Lets go before Roy gets really mad at us." Aria nervously laughed. Putting her sheathe strap on her shoulder, she flinged the door open and ran out. 

Davis had a door into his face. "Gah!" He pushed the door away from his face, holding his nose. "What was that for?!" He said naisally.

 Aria scratched her head, "Ah, sorry. Forgot you were on the other side of the door."

Chase growled as he was once again at a tree. He gasped for breathe as he reached for his hat. Stopping mid way he stood up and walked over to aka. " your crazy this is practically impossible to do" he said clenching his fist. Atleast for him it was. He wanted to work alone to improve his strengeths and try and make the Grimm feel an emotion. " … sorry aka- sempia but it's a hard task to do for me without damaging the beowolf" he said looking at his feet. He was ashamed with how weak he sounded.

Ahhh I'll fix that. 

Aria scratched her head, "Ah, sorry. Forgot you were on the other side of the door."

"I guess its fine..." He mumbled, waking into the room, he lifted up his beadsheet to reveal his King's Gash in transport form, a long, unbladed stick he attached to his belt by the chain. "Let's hurry." He mumbled, running out of the door and to the practice area.

Sora blinked, then continued following.

"Did everyone sleep well?"

(Well I'll just skip to that.)

 

Team HAVC showed up to training mostly on time, or should I say, Team AVC?  Aka was fairly easy with their training, or so she thought, having them complete a series of weird tasks.  The first of which were to sneak up on a Beowolf and pick out a hair on it's back without being noticed individually.  She monitored them on her scroll as they tried to accomplish this very first one.  After that, there were two more tasks that they'd have to come back and ask her herself after providing proof they had completed the last one.

 

Roy continued to wait after greeting Team HAVC quite nicely, which was very out of character, or was it?  Was he just purposely being mean to Team DASY?  Probably, but for now, he continued to wait.

It's official. This woman is crazy.

Alvis had no idea of what to do. They had found a lone Beowolf wandering through the forest. Fortunately, it hadn't seen them from behind the trees and other foliage. Attacking it was out of the question. He wasn't very good at being stealthy either. He tried to think, but nothing came to him.

"Hmm... We could have one person distract it, and have the others get the hairs," Veronica thought out loud.

"Not sure it that would work, but it's better than nothing," Alvis said. The two ran up to Chase and told him their idea. "What do you think?"

Sora blinked, then continued following."Did everyone sleep well?"

 

Yuki shook her head.

"Of course not. I was forced to wake up early." she snapped. 

She ran alongside Davis.

"Hey Davis, I bet I can beat you to the practice area." Yuki said with a smirk.

Davis smirked, his compeditive side was calling the shots at the moment. "Alright, you're on!" He said, giving her a moment, Davis started to run.

Yuki was side to side with Davis it wouldn't be such a long time until the group actually reached where they needed to be.

Sora suddenly was beside them, then in front of them....and srill beside them...then faded away.

 

By the time Yuji and Davis actually arrived at their destination, Sora was standing there calmly, then curtsied as they all finally got there.

"Hello masters. Welcome." She said, utterly selling her maid act.

"Damn, nice speed!" Davis noted, catching up to Sora. "But please, don't call me a "master". It makes me uncomfortable..." Davis told her.

"Master~ Master~ Master~" Yuki teased.

"You are our leader Davis, don't feel so uncomfortable." she said with a smile.

Sora curtsied to Yuki. "Does mistress need anything?" She asked, then glances to Davis. "Would you prefer Prince? Lord? Sire? Something else?" She then blushed. "My semblwnce allows me to go such speeds."

"Um... I would prefer to be addressed in a more... casual manor... Like my name..." He said, feeling slightly awkward. "I mean, I'm not trying to disrespect you or anything, it just seems too odd to me to be addressed by such a... regal... title..." he muttered, looking around. "I was raised by a plain man, and that's how I am: a plane man..."

 First Aria's teammates were there and the next thing she knew they were gone. As they literally left dust behind their trail the water Faunus let out a sweatdrop. "They sure are fast aren't they." She said to herself. It took a couple minutes before she finally caught up to them. "H-hey, maybe you guys could slow down a bit next time?" Aria panted. Then she spotted Roy off the far distance. "Oh, it's Rio!" 

"Fine Davis." Yuki snapped.

She then turned to Sora.

"I do not need anything." She said seriously.

"As you wish Davis." She bowed to Yuki. "Please tell me if you need anything." She then curtsied to Aria. "Welcome to the arena mistress. Is there anything i can get for you?"

 

Once her team had responded, Sora giggled cutely. "I couldn't help it. Been awhile since i worked at the maid cafe I am employed at."

 First Aria's teammates were there and the next thing she knew they were gone. As they literally left dust behind their trail the water Faunus let out a sweatdrop. "They sure are fast aren't they." She said to herself. It took a couple minutes before she finally caught up to them. "H-hey, maybe you guys could slow down a bit next time?" Aria panted. Then she spotted Roy off the far distance. "Oh, it's Rio!" 

Roy turned around to see Aria and her teammates moving towards him.  It seemed that they were fooling around, but the redhead boy couldn't help but bear a smile on his face.

 

"It must be nice to be young," he thought.  

 

Roy ran towards Aria very quickly and handed her a piece of paper.  He winked and just like that he was gone.  On the piece of paper it said:"I placed three sheets of paper around the Emerald Forest.  They are coated and are made of pure gold.  You cannot lift them at all, it is impossible, but if you were to put a part of your soul into it, say 100%, you'll be able to eliminate the gold coating and pick it up.  But be careful, having three teammates with no aura left is very dangerous.  There is a smart way to do this.  You are all the best of the best, I assume?  You made it to Beacon, right?  You can figure it out, or you don't deserve to be here.  If you were able to retrieve all three sheets of paper, you will know what to do next.  They are useless alone."

 

(Three sheets of paper are in the scorpion cave, on the side of the huge chasm (closer to the bottom) from Episode 8, and the forest temple.)

 When Roy disappeared Aria blinked at the piece of paper sitting in her hand. "Eh?" She read the paper only for her to become even more confused as the words were jumbled in her head. "Look for 3 sheets, put part of your soul, and figure it out?" Aria scratched her head and headed the paper to her teammates. "Is this some sort of riddle? Cause I'm not really good with those kind of stuff."
