It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

 

 

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

 

 

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

 

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

 

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

 

 

 

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

 

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

 

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

 

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

 

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

 

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

chase looked startled but nodded nonetheless. all of a sudden he flipped otu and quickly jumped to a different branch. " i know this is a horrid moment to bring it but there's a spider on that branch alvis" he whispered looking at the crawling creature.chase was fine with taijitus,beowulfs, and heck even deathstalkers btu spiders were creepy to him. he shivered at the thought of it crawling on his arm.

"Oh. Thanks for the heads-up," Alvis said to Chase as he picked up the spider. He looked down at the Beowolf still roaming the forest floor. It probably had their scent, but thankfully it wasn't bright enough to figure out that they were up in the trees. A thought came to him. "Hey, look at this," he told the others. He dropped the spider.

 

The Beowolf was looking about the tree that the gang was hiding in, wondering where its meal went. Suddenly something landed on its head. He looked up. Nothing but leaves. Then the spider crawled onto one of its eyes. The Beowolf tried to swipe it off of, but in the process it scratched its own eye. (Did we mention that it wasn't the smartest Beowolf in the pack?) Howling in pain, it haphazardly ran about until it ran face-first into a tree. It crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

 

Alvis dropped down from the tree. "Well, that was entertaining," he commented as he plucked two hairs from the Beowolf's back. "I'm sure he won't notice." One hair for me, and one for Haru. Although his partner wasn't there, Alvis still felt that he needed to compensate for Haru. He was a member of the team. He put the H in HAVC.

"Alright, that takes care of that. What's next?"

 Aria blinked at the sudden appearance of Sora before smiling, "Good job Sora! And if Davis's prediction is correct, then we basically know where all the sheets are." She paused, "So um, where should we head to first?" 

"The Darkstalker cave. If we have to give up our aura, let's do it after we take out the giant scorpions." Sora suggested. "Then the forest temple, then end at the cliff and climb out to get the hell away."

chase grimaced and looked over at aka. " we return these hairs to her and she'll give us the next test" he said jumping out of the tree making sure to smash the already dead spider more. chase looked up at the other two and smiled. " heck at this rate we'll be finshed before 2:30" he said happily fixing his hat.

"Whatever you feel is best, you scouted out the area, your call." Davis said, continuing to move to their destination.

 Time passed before they reached a skeptical looking cave that is 4 times their height, the inside clouded by darkness. "Welp, ususally the biggest caves have something special don't they?" Aria said.

"Yeah, maybe a little gold?" Davis's sarcasm was so thick it was dripping from his mouth. "Anyone by chance got a flashlight?"

"Do you think we have a flashlight...?" Yuki asked rather rudely, looking towards Davis.

She didn't bring one, however someone must have.

 Aria searched through her backpack trying to find a flashlight when she spotted one of her old ones stuffed deep inside her bag. When she took it out, she found out it was only the size of a mouse revealing little light. "I'm not sure if this will work..." Aria scratched her head.

"Hm..." Davis muttered, looking around. "I can go in near total darkness, but what about you all?"

"S-Sorry..." Yuki soon apologized for her rudeness, looking away from the group.

Thankfully, Aria found a flashlight in her bag.

"I am half-cat, it won't be that hard for me too see in the dark." She explained, looking towards Aria.

"Um...faunus in gneral.have excellent night vision. So we all should be fine." Sora said. "We don't need a light for the Faunus in the group..."

 "I guess a flashlight only for me." Aria switched the flashlight on. "Well I trust you guys to guide me through but just in case."
