Amazon Japan has revealed that they sold out of their Pokemon X & Y pre-order bundles in just nine hours as Japanese consumers swamped the online retailer to secure themselves a unit. The popular retailer had an allowance of 100,000 units. The embargo on Pokemon X & Y preorders was lifted at 10am. One hour later the Pokemon Centre bundle with a limited edition golden Nintendo 3DS was sold out. Then at 7 PM, the standard Nintendo 3DS bundle was sold out as well.

Looks like X & Y will outsell the launch of Black & White 1 in Japan

Something tells me I might need to camp out at night for Pokemon XY 1st day release at Nintendo World. I do not want to deal with BW 1's bullshit event with lines that extended blocks away that they needed 3 lines, and even then it was too long.

Fennken is Fire/Fairy (you see fairy dust come out of the ears)

 

Chespin is Grass/Dark (you see him fighting off some bad thoughts, although he's destined to be bad)

 

Froakie is Water/Flying (The bubbles he inflates become bigger through evolution)

 

Plus, in the video game trailer, the second move each of the starters use corresponds to their second type.

1) It's flares, it's not fairy dust. He's not fighting off bad thoughts, he is flexing. Froakie is just having bigger foam.

2) I don't think that should tell you their types, it's just a characterisitics. Just because Oshawott always wanted to fight doesn't make him a part Fighting type.

3) The Legendaries aren't always evenly matched, see Palkia and Dialga or even better, Groudon and Kyogre. 

4) The second move is something every Pokémon gets, not all Pokémon are going to learn moves that are just going to reference it's type. Emboar can learn Scald, doesn't make it a Fire/Water type.

I hope Pikachu gets a Mega Evolution. I don't know why he wouldn't, but I fear...since he wasn't revealed as one, and they're the most well-known Pokemon, not sure...

Raichu should get a Mega evolution since it's the last evolution stage for Pikachu,it would make much more sense since all of the evolved pokemon that got the Mega evoltuin are in their last stage of evolutions(E.g:Ampharos)

The Anime universe, Manga Universe and Game universe are all separate. They can have some rules that overlap but they aren't the same at all. 

 

The Anime Universe appeals to the younger audience and teach them about Pokémon.

The Manga Universe appeals to the older audience (At least 14+) and give them a more detailed story.

The Game Universe appeals to both audiences and gives them a story and child friendly components. 

 

Sometimes the Games Mechanics wont work in the Animes Mechanics, there are different ways of explaining it but all end in the same product. In the Anime it can be more of a form change activated by the user, but in the game you have to hold the item. You barely see Pokémon holding an item in the Anime so there really isn't a stretch that it could be acting like a form change, like Mewtwo did in "Extremespeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens". But then again, we have to wait till it is shown in the Anime to tell. 

Found this cool theory, this seems really sweet. 

 

Plus Absol looks more feminine, so thus the "GODDESS of Disaster" might be in play with this. 

That actually makes perfect sense seeing as how the new legendary mascotts are also based on Nordic mythology.

 

As for those noting that Mega Blazikin will be OP. I think thats okay seeing has how it can only be obtained through the special event at launch and not normal play.

 

I'm somewhat disappointed that Mega Kangaskahn's appearance it the same as it's nomal form, just with the Joey walking around. It should be more impressive like the others. Too bad they had to scrap baby Kankaskahn evolving into Cubone.

It can attack twice yeah,but Mega Blaziken with Sword Dance and Close Combat can  literally RAPE an entire team if it's played correctly,especially with Baton Passers.

There’s a digital tidal wave occurring for Pokémon X & Y in Japan, where pre-orders have climbed the virtual ladder to a whopping 260,000 sales, excluding bundles. Pre-orders were opened in Japan just two days before the Media Create sales were configured,revealing that the latest Pokémon adventure on the 3DS is, quite possibly, set to be the biggest. In fact, Black and White 2 reached spectacular heights of 1.2 million pre-orders before it was released in Japan, so Pokémon X & Y is well on its way to breaking its predecessor’s final score.

 

The sheer size of the pre-orders, though, could have something to do with a certain bonus that’s got Japanese Pokémon fans all the more excited for its release. While stocks last, Japan can get its hands on special Xerneas or Yveltal figures, depending on which game they purchase.
