Here are some of the connections I believe that are between Star Wars and Kingdom Hearts. If there are any others please feel free to share.

 

1. The Star Wars Saga began at Episode 4 and began the whole conundrum of how devastating events in the past shaped a new reality for the Jedi. Then more than 2 decades later we got to see the events of the past as Episode 1 was released. Same thing can be said about Kingdom Hearts where there was so much scattered mystery throughout the saga that it made us wonder what could had happened in the past that set the present reality of Kingdom Hearts. Then 8 years from the release of Kingdom Hearts 1 came "Episode 0": Birth By Sleep. Both Star Wars & Kingdom Hearts originally began where they had left off in the past and that the events and information of the past were not revealed until a later time.

 

2. Light vs. Dark. No explanation needed on this subject since it is obvious..

 

3. Both the lightsaber and the keyblade resemble weapons of hope and destruction. According to Ansem Report 8: The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power (so does the lightsaber), one legend says its wielder saved the world while another says he wrought chaos and ruin upon it (same can be said with the lightsaber for both Jedi & Sith).

 

4. Master and Apprenticeship played a role in the past in both Kingdom Hearts and Star Wars. Master Eraqus to Terra, Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker.

 

5. Deception and lust for the dark powers played a major role in both stories. First, in Episode 2 and 3, Anakin was not only receiving mentorship from his Master Obi-Wan, but from the Chancellor, whom is the Sith Lord, as well. Anakin had the personality of being protective for the people he most cared about, which is a universal trait of selflessness & compassion for all Jedi. The Sith Lord took advantage of that trait, deceived Anakin into thinking Sith powers can save people from death, and ultimately led him to the dark side and his transformation into Darth Vader. In Birth By Sleep (I haven't played BBS yet so I'm going with what I generally know), Terra received some mentorship from Master Xehanort "Darkness cannot be controlled it can only be channeled." Each world he visited got him closer and closer to being tied to the darkness. When the battle in the Keyblade Graveyard took place, Master Xehanort took advantage of Terra's anger and frustration which led him to use the powers of darkness. Like Anakin, Terra is also protective of the people he most cared about, that being Ven & Aqua. In the end, Master Xehanort subdued Terra which led him to transform into his new being.

 

6. Xemnas' weaponry resemble a sith's red lightsaber.

 

7. It hasn't happened yet in Kingdom Hearts but Star Wars had a good conclusive ending to their saga. I'm anticipating the same thing to happen with Kingdom Hearts in the "Xehanort Saga." I'm hoping all goes well in future storylines...

ya Kingdom Hearts and Toy Story are somewhat of paraodies of Star Wars i've noticed ._.

in gameinformer during one of their khbbs reviews, they compared factors between bbs with starwars, but mainly just characters and the keyblade

 

of course like Cramx said: the keyblade resembles the lightsaber

 

they proposed that master eraqus resembled yoda,

 

in general characteristic, not that aqua actually mentored terra, but she was a keyblade master and he wasnt, aqua was compared with obiwan kenobi

 

ven, oddly enough, was compaired with that strange padawan in the cartoon star wars series, whoes name i cant remember

 

master xehanort was undoubtedly compared with palpatine aka sideous

 

vanitas was compared with...who was it...i think it was either darth maul or count douku, how ever you spell it

You forgot about ships going from planet to planet.

The destruction of a main characters home planet.

2 sidekicks who are there for comedic support and nothing else.

one character being put into a deep sleep/ cryogenic frozen. (both are the same in being inactive)

 

All we need is for some characters that are revealed to be related is some manner and its a resemblance of star wars.

Anakin's apprentice is Ahsoka. Ven was compared to her because they looked up to Terra/Anakin as older brother figure. Aqua and Obi-Wan are like older sibling/friend role of the one who falls into darkness. I believe Vanitas was Count Dooku since that was an analogy between main BBS characters and Clone Wars.

Really I thoguth Vantisas would be more a of a physcial dath Vader, while so does Terra.

 

I don;t think tis mainly star wars,but its the same concept that josph camvbell showed us. Lucas basicly ripped cambell off in the good way,whole showing a visial discription of its mattter showign good vs. Evil and the comeday. KH0/BBS is a Tradagy, while KH1 is a comedy.

I think this is all a coincidence but great find.

 

But Star Wars being based off of WWII definitely true.

 

Stormtroopers- The SS were called Stormtroopers by Hitler

Mass extermination of Jedi- Mass extermination of Jewish people

Death Star- A "sun gun" that the Nazi's tried creating. Project under management of the person who build the V2 rockets. (And the apollo rockets that sent us too the moon)

 

Seriously almost everything relates to star wars.

Star Wars have one of the most cliche plots ever. If it was in a fantasy medieval cenario, everyone would think this movie sucks...

Even tough, I LOVE Star Wars

 

It was a really good finding Craxm, but I do not believe we are going to have and Evil Empire in KH XDD

Really, all fantasy based stories nowadays are compared to Star Wars. It has one of the most well known basic plots ever.

Anyway, have someone also notice that Mickey's fighting style is somewhat similar to Yoda's?

When I first read about the story in BBS, I thought "Wow, this is just like revenge of the sith!"

Haha, my bro was comparing Kingdom Hearts to Star Wars last night. He likes the latter, so hopefully he'll get into the KH series too!
