Square Enix modified the combat system for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and changed the controls.

The game is slated for fall in Japan and has a TBD release date in North America.

What about Europe and Australia?

I honestly don't know, I just picked that article up and that's all it said. But I am assuming those regions don't have a release date either.

When Nomura said he has plans to release one this year, he should've added the part "IN JAPAN." *sigh* Hopefully Nomura will do what he did with BBS and add a couple more new features to Re:Coded in the American Version.

Square Enix, I am disappoint.

 

I expect to see more information and screenshots in an issue of Nintendo Power within the next few months, along with the 3DS game.

 

So I guess the two games before KH3 will be these two. KH3 will probably be announced before too long. Better yet, announce it at E3 2011. Since it's most likely on the Wii, Reggie Fils-Aime presenting it would be epic win

well im not anxious to get recoded but as long as if its a far off date after bbs so i can still hav time to enjoy bbs.

You guys just sort of assumed that this is the game Nomura was referring to when he said a game with North Americans in mind.

I do think it's unfair Japan gets it first when they already have a version of it.

Maybe they will both come out around the same time? I mean this was the special project he was thinking for NA and EU and voice actors have signed on for it in English. I would still think that it could probably come out late fall or early winter, or at least slightly after Japan

Few people in Japan were able to play it regardless. The Docomo Prime Series P-01A isn't exactly popular, and the only reason KH games are being released on it is because Docomo has a deal with Disney, or something like that.

That is true. Disney's sending out their army of singing tweener cannon fodder out into the world to brainwash the children, and unfortunately it's working.
