Full Metal Alchemist: a well known manga/anime everywhere in the world. Many people love it, and it's still strong, although it has already finished. is it worth your while?
Ok, Full Metal Alchemist. I love it. I LOVE IT. Before I gush all over about it, I need to do this review.
I was introduced to Full Metal Alchemist back in 2009, when it aired for the first time in Portugal. I saw the first anime, and I got hooked. Then Brotherhood came by, but I didn't watch it. In early 2013, I watched both animes, and read the manga. AND I ADORE IT
So let's start
Story?
Ah, no way. I'm not gonna spoil this one. The story is so good, I can't spoil it. All I can say is that the timeline of the story's in early XX century, but with modern guns. Yeah, it's a Steampunk anime/manga!
Characters
All the characters have their own way to be, and I'm sure you can relate to at least one or two of them. The best part is that every character has great development. Especially the main characters: Edward and Alphonse Elric. Not just physically, but in personality as well.
The villains are top notch, one of the best I've ever seen. Their goals are, well... chatastrophic. You'll have to see to find out
Manga: Drawings
For a manga that started back in 2001, the drawing style is gorgeous. Hiromu Arakawa made excellents drawings through the manga, and I can't get enough. Especially the illustrations of blood, and facial expressions, one of the best I've ever seen.
Anime: Graphics and Music
Now FMA had 2 animes: one in 2003, and one in 2010, so of course the graphics are completely different. But they are gorgeus for their time, and nowadays as well, especially Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Music like, it's all orchestrated. And it's perfect. It sets the right mood just about everywhere, from happy to sad, from jolly to creepy, etc.
Overall rating
From Newbie to No Comment, I give this one a Legendary. I highly reccomend this anime/manga for anyone that likes an excellent story, and character development (:
