Possible Sonic the Hedgehog Archie game in development (theory)

Posted

I honestly think that there is a Sonic game for the 3DS based on the Archie Comics in the works. Why? Well, this is why.

1. SEGA still has one more game to announce with the partnership they have with Nintendo.

2. Sonic Lost World was released on both of the current Nintendo devices, while Mario/Sonic olympics has been released for Wii U, leaving the 3DS for one more title (theory)

3. The cover of issue 257 of the Sonic Comics features 3D renders of all the Freedom Fighters, including the ones never seen in 3D before.

4. Archie has given all the Freedom Fighters new powers within the last few issues.
(EX: One character can use a sword-spin attack now, which is more effective than Sonics Spin Dash, and another (seen Below) can now use an Energy Bracelet as a weapon, allowing her to cut, slash, and slice away at objects and enemies.)

5. The current Story Arc is only building, leading to a clash of two entirely different universes, causing massive earthquakes and other disasters!

ooooohhh dang, I gotta catch up on the comic series, I'm at issue 10 and boy the future issues look freaking awesome.

I have the exact same theories, and I'm really hoping that is what this year's game will be based on.
