Square Enix SHould Do A HD Remaster of Final Fantasy Type-0

Posted

Since the PSP didn't sell all that well worldwide they should do a HD remaster of Final Fantasy Type-0 for the PS3 with new, upgraded models, areas, and with maybe some new content never before seen in the PSP version of Type-0. And since the PS3 sells really well all over the world they could finally have Type-0 localized with English voices.

Thoughts?

Not on PS3. I doubt at this point in time SE will start development on new games for PS3. Maybe on multiple systems, but not solely PS3.

But Sony said that the PS3's lifetime will last for quite a while. So they can do a HD remaster on PS3 since it's not a dead console.

I would love that, but if they actually included PSP as an hd remaster, it'd probably be bundled with other games to make the bundle worth getting, like with FF XV or a "FF VII remake".

Its only lasting until 2016 now, so it'll have 10 years. So, they have about 3 years(if you count all of 2016) to make it.

A HD remaster for PS Vita makes much more sense. If they're developing anything for PlayStation 3, there are major titles to remaster in HD rather than a spin-off game.

Well it doesn't have to be bundled with anything. I mean look at MGS Peace Walker. The game wasn't bundled with MGS3 and MGS2 in Japan. it was it's own HD remaster unlke in NA and EU.

I never thought I'd see you say that considering you like playing games on a HD TV screen in 1080/720p quality.

Yeah but I doubt at this point in time they would make plans for more games due to the PS3 only having a couple of years. PS3/Vita would atleast be more suitable.

You sir are reading my mind exactly

I've been thinking about this ever since Type-0's release

Oh I definitely think it should be on PS Vita. It doesn't make sense on PS3 or PS4. I also think the likely XII HD remaster and dream Crisis Core/Dirge of Cerberus HD collection should be released on PS3 and PS Vita.

Wait was Type 0 released in the USA? I could of sworn we voted for it to come but it was decided not I come overseas

Type-0 is exclusive to Japan at this stage.

Ok thanks Sora I heard that the game has a lot to translate and that's why they didn't bring it over

doesn't everyone want type-0 to be HD in english :O IT WOULD BE AMAZING!!! i don't really care what console it would be on :)

The game has already been transilated to English according to Square, but they didn't want to release it outside of Japan due to low install base in the US

which I don't get, that didn't prevent them from releasing Crisic Core before, and by 2012 the PSP had a really decent install base in the US and Europe
