Posted February 4, 201411 yr Hey, i've been having a problem for a while... See, everytime i come up with ideas for a story/comic, im often worried that someone else has done it already, and i think that the author of the idea might sue me if i publish it online. I really need help with this problem
February 4, 201411 yr You could try googling the basics of the plot and see if anything comes up, generally unless it's exactly the same and you're charging for it you can't peg it down for copying since there's already loads of books out there that has similar basics.

So long as you make no money off of it. But if you intend to make money, you cannot make fanfictions, or one from there content. They cannot sue you for concept ideas, or basics. So, as long as it's not exactly there's you should not worry. The only thing to worry about it originality.
February 5, 201411 yr Everyone's done everything. As long as you can put your own spin on things (and are, y'know, a good writer/artist), you shouldn't have anything to worry about. It's getting people to actually read your stuff that's the hard part.

I really need help with this problem This day has arrived much sooner than I've anticipated my youngblood. Do you remember once I warned you, "Some will help you, but many, many will Hinder you" This is precisely the situation I meant when I made that vague and broad statement. Fortunately the parasites neglected one fatally deadly mistake, you're raw unbridled talent. In literature, in general, every story has already been told. No matter what you write it's already been done. Except what matters is the skill and talent in execution, my youngblood. The story quality, the eloquence, characters. You won't be sued, unless you plagiarise the work of parasites, although it eludes me why you would larceny the drivel of dullards. I'm confident you would commit no act as such. It is... beneath you youngblood, they... are beneath you Edited February 6, 201411 yr by CardCaptorDeadpool
