You see me standing there, looking lost, clutching my books tight, not speaking,

a look of fear on my face, basic social skills lost.

People scare me, on occasion, as cruelty fills the daily things,

the passing hours of day to day lives,

torn assunder by words tossed without feeling,

phrases with out meaning.

you tease because I say this,

you tease because I didn't say that...

What is right? Do you even know?

Or are you just saying these things,

because you can?

That's the thing, after all:

why NOT do it?

No one cares about the underdog,

the loner online in an RP blog,

the Tumblr user only reposting,

art skill beyond their boasting,

singing skills like a cat roasting,

writing skills hardly good.

This is the way of the world,

an underscore of discordia,

a secret hatred of oddity,

for EMO, gay, nonsociality,

shunned from most communities,

like something in Orwell's '84,

all because of one different thing,

a mind frame not the same,

as everyone else's around them.

Such is the way of the world,

in real life and in chatroom's,

where lovers claim to have bloomed,

but are unreachable, across seas or land,

never able to hold each others hand,

a fantasy unfullfilled by the blue glare of a computer screen.

We all need to be someone,

apart but part of a whole,

yet I am an oddball, on the outside,

looking in, at distant from the regular harmony.

A shattered soul, lost,

as yet unfound.
