Where should future World Cups be?

Posted

The next World Cup will be in 2014. Brazil has already been chosen as the host (kind of overkill, since they have the Olympics in 2016..)

Bids for 2018 and 2022:

I want Canada to host one. If not just for a guarantee that Canada will have a team

brazil? hm.

yeah canada would be cool. they've already hosted games in south america and other parts of europe.

I know that I shouldn't be saying this, we're pride and all for having the cup here but that is just wrong, the stupid goverment should take care of other things first, and the place that they were going to use for the games should be repaired but the team that owns it don't want to so I don't know how it'll be. About where it should be next, Canada looks like a good idea to me.

England for the 2018 World Cup! :)

Canada ranked 63 in the world which isn't that bad. If Canada was to host it i think there only 4 places you can put in Montral,Toronto,Ottawa and Vanocauver. But that being said i don't see Canada as a favorite you get it but you never know if it's in Canada i could watch the games.

There could also be ones in Calgary, Quebec City, etc

I definitely want a Canadian-hosted World Cup.

In fact, assuming the number of cities used in this years is standard, it's easy to make a list of host cities for a World Cup in Canada.

-Toronto

-Vancouver

-Edmonton

-Calgary

-Montreal

-Quebec City

-Ottawa

-Halifax

-Victoria

For the USA (who have bids in), it'd be incredibly simple to pick cities.

-New York City

-Orlando

-Atlanta

-Seattle

-Los Angeles

-Las Vegas

-Honolulu

-Chicago

-Denver

LONDON!!! world cup at london would be incredible (btw, we just won again slovenia :))

The Moon.

That'd be epic

The Moon.

I second that... but how much does it cost for space travel?

Doesn't matter. The players don't pay the bill.

If we ever find aliens, they should SO get their own World Cup team.

England vs the Mars Martians haha. :D and I agree with chronic on the bill not being paid by the most over-valued prima-donnas on the planet. Planet *chuckles*

Apparently Canada is considering a bid for 2026.

YES

India, China, and Turkey are also considering bids.
