Which game in the series do you guys recommend me to start with?

 

I've seen a Let's Play of Persona 1(an LP done by The Super Gaming Bros channel on youtube )

 

 

 

and from what I've seen it's similar to the main Shin Megami Tensei series but there are enough differences to make it unique

 

Needless to say,I got really interested in the Persona franchise but I don't know which game I should start with

3 or 4 are probably the easiest games to start with. It doesn't really matter since they're only loosely connected, but I think 3 is a better game overall.

If you want to play all the games in the series, then I highly recommend starting with the remake of the first one on the PSP. Something that I've noticed is that if people start with Persona 4, then all the other games become too awkward to play because of the drastic changes. So yeah, Persona 1 all the way.

Like Final Fantasy, the Persona games aren't exactly related. I highly recommend starting with 3, moving to 4, and checking out the earlier ones after that.

I recommend Persona 3 FES for PS2 and Persona 3 Portable for PSP.

FES have a playable epilogue after the ending of the main game and Portable have the Female Route.

There is also Persona 4:The Golden for the Vita which add more stuff to the original PS2 Persona 4. I still don't play it but I've seen a Let's Play of it.

Well I never played the first two you can keep watching Let's Plays/Walkthough of the first two and then I would recommend playing Persona 3 FES it's on the PSN for only $10 and then play Persona 4 Golden if you have a Vita, the reason for playing those two is because they are like their originals with some major additives especially in 3FES because it has a continuation story after the Journey called the Answer and if you really want to get Persona 3 Portable for the PSP but you can play it on your Vita the only difference from that and FES is that you don't get the answer in portable but you can play as a female nothing that special but just something that could be really fun once you play the canon game.

In 3 you get to shoot yourself in the head to use powerful attacks- which is awesome. In this case I recommend Persona 3 FES on PSN

 

Persona 4 has amazing characters and a hooking mystery plot. In this case I recommend Persona 4 The Golden on the Vita

 

I personally got into the series playing through 4, then 3 FES, and am currently plaything through 4 Golden and they ALL ROCK!!

 

They're all very time-consuming though and take a loooooooong time to play through

START WITH PERSONA 3 OR 4!!!!! there the only ones ive played and i can say with confidence that its my 3rd favorite video game franchise!

I'd say start with 4. It's the best in my opinion. If you have a vita get Golden. It is amazing.
