This subject was spawned from a conversation me and my sister were having the other night. I came to an interesting idea on the topic of the creation of Namine. We all know Tetsuya Nomura's love of metaphor and symbolism right? Well here's one concerning Sora, Kairi and Namine. Could this trio be a metaphor for the union of a man and woman and the creation (birth) of a new life? Think about it. To create a Nobody, you must need a heart, body and soul. Kairi provided the heart when hers left her body and planted itself in Sora's. Sora provided the body and soul needed for Kairi's heart to survive. Thus, Sora acted as a "surrogate" parent for Kairi's heart. When Sora stabbed himself with the Keyblade, he released Kairi's heart. But in doing so, he also severed the connection between his body and her heart; thus giving "birth" to a very unique Nobody. One that you could effectively say had two parents. This explains her unusualness. She barely looks like Kairi, but nothing like Sora, yet she has powers over his memories. Namine is equal parts Kairi and equal parts Sora. What do you think?

I think you may have just ruined my childhood xD

Uhhhhh........I don't know .

It's possible

Yes. I think that was confirmed in an interview somewhere that the creation of Namine (and Roxas) was a metaphor for birth and all that stuff.

You just basically put my thoughts into words that I was never able to string together. Nice!

My pleasure~

Not quite when you remember that Namine is half of Kairi.

It really does sound like something Nomura would do doesn't it?

But Sora's always been hinted to feeling romantic feelings towards Kairi

Those feelings were transferred to Namine in COM

Thus, following this logic Sora wanted to bone his "daughter"

all night long.

Til the darkness comes.

Lovely weird mutated babies.

Giggity giggity goo
