Caius Ballad has got to be one of the best villains I've ever seen in the Final Fantasy franchise.

 

He had an actual motivation and purpose for doing what he did(unlike some some stupid villains like Ultimecia and Dysley),He guarded Yeul for centuries and loved her as if she's his own daughter and he was forced to see her dying over and over and over again until he eventually lost it and decided to let Etro pay for her actions and create a world where Yeul would be free from her curse.

 

I loved how prominent he was in his game as a villain similar to how Golbez was in FF4,he's on your ass through the whole game and he won't rest until he makes sure you'll fall into his trap,and he has some of the best battle themes I've ever heard in the series and his Final boss theme even rivals One-Winged Angel in my opinion....just listen

I'll admit that I jumped from joy when I beat him,that final battle with Caius's Jet Bahamut form was awesome,challenging and fun

 

 

Unfortunately,of all places to be put in Caius got stuck in the XIII trilogy,sure I loved XIII-2 and it was a very good game,but LRFFXIII was so bad to the point that Caius seems to be trying to escape that game as he trolled Lightning so hard and didn't let her have his soul(the only moment I liked from that POS game)

 

 

Caius deserves to be in a better game,and y'know what?I think he'll fit perfectly in the Kingdom Hearts series especially after the end of the Xehanort saga

 

Caius can be an amazing villain,either a supporting one or the next main one after Xehanort's demise

 

Heck we already got the old hag Maleficent as one of the main villains,why can't we have someone from FF too instead of making FF characters just cameos

 

I mean seriously Caius can be Sora's greatest enemy if Nomura knows how fit Caius in the right way

 

Just let's rewrites Caius's origins,forget that he was from the XIII trilogy,and put him in Kingdom Hearts with a good backstory that links him to the Keyblade war.....Caius will fit right in

 

I hope to God that Nomura might consider making Caius as one of the main villains of KH after the Xehanort saga ends and remove his XIII trilogy origins out of existence so Caius can have a fresh and new start in a much better game

He really would fit in with the series! Lightning is cool and all, but i think Caius should be in a KH game. his character dynamics are awesome! He's up there with Sephiroth 

Now there's something I agree with you on. Caius > Sephiroth > dog poop after eating Indian food > Ultimecia. Caius is AMAZING as a villain. That scene before the Jet Bahamut battle really made me appreciate his character more than most villains I can think of. He's up there with Xehanort in my list of most favorite villains. (idk if "most favorite" is grammatically correct, but whatever). And I've been listening to Invisible Depths for months, I can't get enough of it.

Ultimecia was by far the worst FF villain alongside Bhunivelze(Oops spoiler),I hate how both of them never appeared until the last minute in the game

I tell you I personally love Caius more than Xehanort,don't get me wrong I like Xehanort but sometimes he can be the case of "Been there done that" scenario.

Yeah that's what I'm saying: Caius would be an amazing change from Xehanort, which is why he should be in the next saga as a primary antagonist

I disagree about that other worst FF villain.

 

 

Bhunivelze was better than Ultimecia in that he actually had a motive in what he did. He saw imperfection, and decided it was something that didn't belong in his new world. And the way they describe him before you meet him, you realize that this makes sense. Not knowing the human soul, he simply saw humans like his own personal action figures- if one was "broken", you throw it out. It's almost like the new world was never meant to be for the benefit of humans- it was just so he could rule a flawless world. I'm not saying he's on the same level of villainy as Caius, but I see him as being infinitely better than stupid freaking Ultimecia.

 

 

Ultimecia, on the other hand, wanted to compress time because.... why? so she could absorb all of time? Again: why...? she would be the only one left in existence. What makes that plan make even remote sense? It's stupid. Pardon my Ultimecia rant. She's just really stupid in my book. Heck, the whole FF8 storyline is complete and utter crap. Good gameplay though.

Well you convinced me about Mr B's motivation

 

Ultimecia is by far the stupidest and worst villain this franchise had,seriously why and for what does she wants to compress time?What's the point of being the only one in existence with no one to rule?What's she gonna rule over,her boobs?

But yeah, I'm glad someone agrees with me on FF8. I'm actually playing through FF8 right now to see if it's really as dumb as I remember, or if I was just overreacting the last time I played it. (and i don't mind playing it again despite the dumb story, because I love the gameplay and music). I'm in Timber now, so it's not that bad yet. I may make a topic on my impressions as I play through the game. But I mean seriously (just from what I remember)- there's the dumb love story, there's that stupid plot twist about the orphanage and how the GFs make you lose your memory (like, what?!), Squall being a brooding chickenwuss because of his stupid sister or something, Rinoa being obnoxious, a Witch from the future who tries to compress time for whatever reason. I mean, it's just a complete mess.

13-2 was the best FF13 IMO, (NOT FF) because caius(unlike 13's, and LR's who are in the top worst ff list villians, he can enter the top best ff villians list) and mainly because the game was no walking and kill that monster, for even the side quests(13), or boring side quest(LR)

And Liam Ob'rien voice him, that's a 3+!

As for ultimecia, that's why I don't like sephrioth(in FF7, he's cool on other games), zemous(though little because that  zermous thing that make him better) and CoD(untill DS remade it Xande was considered the main villian, and that she he's similiar to necron about anything)

For 8, I didn't like the story because the time thing made storiest most of the times bad this game is no diffrent, the gameplay well...

If you don't understand all of it-hardest FF.

If you do-most easiest FF-even the superboss there is a joke.

Oh my gosh I forgot about that! That is Deus Ex Machina at its finest. I mean, with all the dumb plot twists and crap like that in this story, you'd imagine M Night Shyamalan wrote it.
