Now, I'm not the biggest HMK fan, but I admit that this is an interesting theory considering besides the Ansem reports, there hasn't been really anything in the KH theory that talks about a soul. This video has actually reminded me of my own theory concerning a connection between Sora and Kingdom Hearts.
Sora is an nontraditional Keyblade wielder as he was never passed the Power by a master like Riku and Kairi were. It's been said that Sora's ability to connect with other people, namely Keyblade wielders, that gives him the ability, but what if his ability comes from another source? The X-blade, the Key to opening the door to Kingdom Hearts, consists of two Kingdom Keys, the true form of Sora's Keyblade. The reason for this has not been explained, but since the X-blade is connected to Kingdom Hearts maybe the Kingdom Key is connected as well. IF Sora's ability comes from another source AND IF the Kingdom Key is connected to Kingdom Hearts, maybe Kingdom Hearts itself is what gave Sora the Kingdom Key. But why would Kingdom Hearts choose Sora to wield the Kingdom Key? I think it's because Sora represents Kingdom Hearts: a light shining through the darkness. Obviously Sora shined after he received the Keyblade, saving many worlds from the darkness, but before this? Sora, before KH1, was in Riku's shadow. Sora was weaker than Riku and he always tried to break out of his shadow by beating Riku in races and fights. And it was this determination that allowed Sora to shine in a different way than Riku, to shine through the shadow. Sora received the Kingdom Key from Kingdom Hearts because he the embodiment of Kingdom Hearts: a light in the darkness.
So HMK put up a new KH theory video today:
