Radiant Garden

Keyblade Academy

Indy made his way through the academy halls, glancing around at the rooms he passed by. I was told to meet with a teacher in the Gummi hangar... They said that there would be other students, too. What's so urgent that they'd call a few of us there? Is there something going on in other worlds...? Maybe they even have a mission for us... I've always wanted the opportunity to leave Radiant Garden, anyway... He thought to himself as he moved along, pondering what it is that he was ordered to meet there for.

He eventually reached the room, noticing that it was empty. "Hm... Well, I did try to get here early, anyway." He muttered, leaning against a wall. He appeared calm, but his mind was racing. Will I get to visit other worlds? Who else will I be with? Will I have a chance to see Allitt again...? He drifted into deep thought, not taking notice of his surroundings...

(And yes, the other students all received the orders, too.)

Raidyn / Toshi

The sleeping Raidyn started to wake after what seemed like forever. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, and then yawned into his hand.

"Raidyn! You're awake!" Toshi cried softly.

"Agh... my head still hurts..." Raidyn whined. "But, heh, that was a good nap though. Hahaha," Raidyn said, stretching out his arms and yawning again.

[Highwind]

Poking around at the controls in the cockpit of the Highwind, GHost was having a fun time exploring the ship a little until Brooklyn's voice caught his attention over the radio. "Thanks for leaving me and Ember behind, Ghost." the hotshot remarked, and before the student could reply back, Striker's voice cackled through. "Don't worry, I'll just report you as gunned down and missing in action."

"Hahaha, that's pretty harsh, Striker Four. I didn't ditch ya Brooklyn, I just thought maybe you could use some real alone time with ol' Ember. Besides, you got your own ship. Like I really need to worry..."

"New signature detected. Six o' clock, No IFF tags, but something tells me it's the hotshot's ship."

Right on cue, the Highwind's radar bleep as it picked up Brooklyn's ship, but Ghost looked out the cockpit glass just to be safe. With visual confirmation, it was now that Riku's voice came through the Highwind radio. "Master Riku to Highwind. Did you find any leads on the organization? Our search for the member that your instructor brought us is still ongoing. We hope that you're having more luck than we are."

Immediately, Ghost reached for the mic. "Affirmative, master. We found Allitt on-world of Land of Dragons and confronted her. She's with us now, and gave us some leads. Currently heading toward the world called Shibuya, with intentions to find the other members." With the message relayed, Ghost patiently waited for the master's response and hoped that his Instructor wouldn't have to be called in once again to take away Allitt.

Riku paused for a moment to think about what Ghost reported back to him. "So, that's why we couldn't find her... She must have stowed away on my ship. It's my fault for not noticing earlier... If she is with you, I suggest keeping an eye on her. For all you know, she could lead you into a trap." He advised Ghost. "Also, if you're going to Shibuya, we have another student stationed at the world. You might want to meet up with her and see if she's found anything yet."He suggested to Ghost.

"Agh... my head still hurts..." Raidyn whined. "But, heh, that was a good nap though. Hahaha," Raidyn said, stretching out his arms and yawning again.

"Heh, took long enough." Indy smirked. "Toshi's been watching over you the whole time. I think you owe her for that." He teased his friend.

(Well... I honestly don't know what to say... Oh wait yes I do.)

Once the gang had gotten on the Highwind, Joel almost immediately went to the lodging area and went to sleep. Before that, he left a note on the fridge: "Wake me up when we get to Shibuya."

"Interesting. They already working on the investigation. That's all I need to know." Gaku got up from the co-pilot's seat and went to fridge to get a drink. He spotted a note taped to the fridge.

Wake me up when we get to Shibuya. --Joel.

Gaku knows everyone needed to rest after the events that transpired at Land of Dragons. Still, he's not in a caring mode to care about waking up someone. "Not my problem." Gaku muttered as he opened the fridge to grab a Cola Soda. With that done, he turned from the fridge, moved towards the counter and takes a sip from his drink.

"Ahh. . . Just what the Doc ordered." Said the satisfied boy. Gaku noticed Raidyn has finally woke up from his slumber. So the hyperactive moron has woken. Incoming angry comrades. Gaku thought as he took another drink of his soda.

"You are a sad, strange man." Brooklyn said in reply. He sighed, sitting back in the chair. "What's his deal?" He wondered in his head.

[Highwind. In transit to Shibuya]

"You are a sad, strange man." both Ghost and Striker heard Brooklyn reply, to which both of them burst into a laugh over the comms. Miraculously maintaining their formation, most likely thanks to autopilot, Ghost wiped away a tear as Riku's voice once again cackled through the radio. "So, that's why we couldn't find her... She must have stowed away on my ship. It's my fault for not noticing earlier... If she is with you, I suggest keeping an eye on her. For all you know, she could lead you into a trap. Clearing his throat, Ghost once again reached for the mic. "Solid copy, Master. We'll be on our toes, plus Instructor Striker will be around to take care of her."

"Actually," the instructor's voice interrupted, "that would be a negative. Something popped up that requires my attention. All I can do now is escort you to the world. After that, you're on your own."

Ghost swallowed hard at the idea of not having a safety back-up if Allitt decides to backstab the group. "Uh... anyways Master Riku, requesting information on the student that we're supposed to meet once we arrive on the world."

While awaiting for Riku's response, the student's tactpad bleeped as a wall of text scrolled over the screen. Ghost read the information, and slowly exhaled out of terror and confusion. "My squad..." the white haired student whispered, "Why would he authorize the return to my squad? I haven't earned my sigil yet..." His mind frantically tried to make sense of what possible events could have transpired for the Instructor to make such a hasty decision.

Annistha's trooped onboard the Highwind. Inside their link, Zale was sulking. He really didn't like flying. She sighed and flopped in a seat next to Somrene. She started buckling in, but paused to study Somrene for a moment.

"Ah, you're in 'quite, watchful' mode." She said as she finished buckling in. "Zale gets like that a lot. I usually have to kick him out of it."

"Heh, took long enough." Indy smirked. "Toshi's been watching over you the whole time. I think you owe her for that." He teased his friend.

"Whattaya mean by that?" Raidyn said, as he picked his ear. He never understood Indy whenever he was talking about weird things about him and Toshi. Toshi herself couldn't help but giggle at his absent-mindedness.

Indy sighed. "Nevermind..." He muttered, surprised that Raidyn was still so oblivious when it came to this subject.

"Not just her." Allitt spoke up. "You owe all of us an apology. Your screw-up could have gotten yourself killed, but you're too stupid to even think of the consequences. Are you really so willing to prove your strength that you'd throw your life away over it? That's absolutely pathetic, and you worried your friends. You're clearly nowhere near as strong as you seem to think you are." The girl snapped on her old rival, angered by his performance earlier. "You're lucky she didn't kill you on the spot!"

Indy scratched his head, and looked slightly nervous. He didn't want to upset his friend, but he was also really mad that Raidyn had made such a stupid move.

Raidyn / Toshi

"Hey, come on, Allit, take it easy!" Raidyn said, putting up his hands in defense. "I just had bad luck, that's all! I mean, come on, you know that I would have whooped that red-haired girl if I got the chance! Right Toshi?" Raidyn asked to the girl next to him. Toshi tried to respond, but the current nonchalantness of Raidyn's approach to the topic at hand as well as her general difficulty to speak to him in general was keeping her from doing so...

"Bad luck? Yeah right. There's no need to cover for how weak you truly are." Allitt glared at Raidyn. "If you'll blame bad luck on all of your mistakes, you'll never improve. You'll always be just as pathetic as you are now"

Indy decided to join in the conversation. "To be honest, Raidyn... I don't think it was all just bad luck." He spoke nervously. "I don't think any of us could have taken her on alone and won... It wasn't really the best idea to go and try that." He hoped that he hadn't said anything too bad.

"Raidyn, your chance of success on your own was lover than twenty-five percent. It literally would have been a miracle if you won." Brooklyn said bkuntly, over the radio. "And, to make it worse, you made your friend, who cares about nothing more than your safety, to hold you in a cage with a tiger and watch. If your goal was to prove something to us or yourself, the only thing you proved is your reckless and put yourself and others in danger or in not pleasant situations. You have a responsibility to everyone here, and probably most importantly Toshi, to not be reckless like that." Brooklyn called loud through the radio. "Listen up and listen good: the reasons I'm so confident are that I know for sure I have the skill to handle myself in a fight and in combat management. You're still learning how this works, and something you need to know is that you're not the only one affected in a fight. The very grass you crunch under your shoes changes an entire habitat. Think about what you do when you set yourself into motion next time, not just the goal, but where you are and where you've been. End rant." Brooklyn's Com line went off, and he coughed. "Where did that come frim...? Normally I would have just poked fun at him for being an idiot and rushing into a fight..." He thought as they contenued to move.

Listening in to the exchange between Raidyn and Allitt, Ghost was seriously tempted to offer a piece of his mind. Too bad he was focused with piloting duties, and the Sentinel-in-Training quietly fumed as he started grinding his teeth and gripped the joystick. Bad luck, huh? My instructor would say otherwise. It took every bit of restraint the student had to not get off the pilot seat, storm into the room and start yelling at Raidyn. Darn it Toshi. Whack him with a keyblade and knock some sense into the guy.

Gaku finished his drink, and threw it in the trash. He listened to the exchange between Raidyn and Allitt as he walked towards the co-pilot's seat. Taking his seat, he noticed Ghost trying his best not to throw off the ship. Now Gaku wouldn't offer a helping hand much often, but seeing another person scolding Raidyn would prove amusing for Gaku. "Hey, I have some training on piloting Gummi Ships back at the Academy. If you want, I can take over while you can go give Raidyn a piece of your mind." Gaku said. "After you finished venting on Raidyn, you can take control of the Highwind again."

Lucas looked over to Raidyn. "Well, everyone else has basically said anything that i could've. But the point is, you shouldn't be reckless like that Raidyn. If you want to prove yourself, you have to keep practicing and think out your plans before you act on them. Going out against someone who none of us could beat is basically just asking to throw your life away."

Raidyn / Toshi

"Hey, come on guys, quit it!" A now more agitated Raidyn said, though he didn't really deserve to feel agitated at all. "I was doing what I thought was right. I need to prove myself. And besides: we all made it out alright! Despite a few roadblocks..." Raidyn said, glossing over the details of his and the other's failed attempts to capture the Organization member as well as Raidyn lashing out at some of his classmates.

"Look, next time, I'll just be faster, stronger, and better! That's all I gotta do. Right Toshi?" Raidyn asked the girl by him.

"Uh... w-well, Raidyn..." Toshi was struggling with her feelings; on one hand, she was willing to defend Raidyn as she always did for his actions, but on the other hand, she couldn't help but know that their classmates were right and that Raidyn was being selfish right now.

"Come on, Toshi, tell 'em I'm right. You know I'm right. You always know when I'm right," Raidyn said, putting his hands behind his head, completely ignoring everybody's feelings but his own, including Toshi's, who could feel herself slightly boiling over inside.

He's... he's being such a... such a...  Toshi thought in her mind, squeezing the tops of her knees as she sat while her hair was hiding her eyes.

"Hey, Toshi, you alright?" Raidyn asked, noticing how quiet she was being. "Oh, I get it. You're just too scared to say I'm right in front of everybody. I get it, it's fine," Raidyn said, making Toshi grit her teeth.

"I don't blame you really. It's hard when you gotta lay that kinda truth on somebody. Especially if it's more than one guy at a time..." Raidyn said, trailing off as he say back in his seat and closed his eyes.

But while he was saying that last statement, he didn't notice that Toshi had firmly got up from her seat, walked right in front of Raidyn as he spoke, and after he had just finished...

SMACK!

She planted a firm open hand slap right on the side of his face. His eyes bugged open as he almost fell to the side from the impact.

"Yooow!" He cried, rubbing his cheek. "What was that for, Toshi?!" He whined in confusion.

"R... Raidyn..." Toshi said, her voice bearing a tone nobody had heard her use before, especially Raidyn; that tone was anger. "Why... why do you have to be such an idiot?!" She yelled, leaving Raidyn in shock.

"You're always rushing in and getting yourself in trouble without even thinking about how it effects you or even the people around you! I know you want to be strong, but you can't be strong by being reckless!! You could have gotten yourself and everybody hurt, and worse..." Toshi almost broke in tears upon finishing her next sentence. "You could have gotten killed." Raidyn could do nothing but stare open-mouthed at his classmate at the moment.

"So please! Please just listen to me! And everybody else! You're not the same person who used to lose to anybody you fought back on the Academy. You're not even Allit's rival anymore! You're... you're our teammate. So you need to start acting like you're part of a team! Not just for all of our sakes... but mine as well!" Toshi said, putting a hand to her chest. Having ended her rant, Raidyn readjusted his gaze to the floor as he thought over everything he had done, not just on the mission but even further than that.

"I... I-I never really... I..." Raidyn, for once, was struggling to form his words. "I-I was trying to... I-I didn't want to..." Raidyn put his hand in his face, cursing himself for his own stupidity. "I just...! I just wanted to... I just wanted to prove that I was strong..." was all he could muster. But he knew now that statement wouldn't cut it. "Guys... I'm sorry. I... I was wasn't thinkin' right. And I almost got you guys in a lot of trouble... I won't do anything like that again... I promise." Raidyn said, looking at all his classmates gathered around him, hoping they would forgive him.

Indy and Allitt were both surprised by Toshi's sudden outburst, and Raidyn's response. Indy struggled to find some sort of response, while Allitt was quick to reply. "You're right. You weren't thinking right. You're lucky that things didn't end as bad as they could have. Don't do that again, if you value your teammates and your own life." She warned Raidyn.

Indy finally decided to speak. "Well... As long as you acknowledge that what you did was wrong, and that you won't do it again... I forgive you." He scratched his head, hoping he wouldn't look stupid in front of everyone else.

"Quiet and watchful is a good mood to be in." Somrene replied calmly right before Raidyn woke up, and just about the entire ship went nuts. Somrene opened one eye and looked at the boy. He closed his eye again. Poor boy was getting enough of a scolding from everybody else, including little Toshi. Somrene didn't 'to have to do a thing. So he continued to lie back in his seat, listening calmly.

Ember smiled at Brooklyn. "See! You do have a heart!" She joked with him, but she was seriously proud of him for making even a little effort to be cool with the others.

Ghost was visibly shaking as he fought tooth and nail to keep his composure as he remained in the cockpit seat. Gaku's offer only made it worse for the Sentinel-in-Training as the student politely said, "Hey, I have some training on piloting Gummi Ships back at the Academy. If you want, I can take over while you can go give Raidyn a piece of your mind."

This is part of your test: Humility. Keep it on the down low. The instructor's words echoed in Ghost's head. Unfortunately, the student snapped as he rose from the seat and started walking into the main hold of the ship. While walking, the student reached around his back and grasped the pistol grip of his arrow-rifle, and it was at this moment that he felt a sharp chill run down the center of his back. I... I'm actually considering shooting this guy... As if a fail-safe had just activated, Ghost froze in place as he stood at the doorway that separated the cockpit from the main living area where every other student were resting in. I would have shot this guy if it wasn't for the fact that I was in a separate area of the ship... What the hell is wrong with me? But this guy really earned it.

Ghost was finally able to free himself when he heard the satisfying smack of Toshi finally knocking some sense into Raidyn. He exhaled sharply, still trying to come to terms that had the girl not have done what she did, they'd most likely have a student with a hole in their head at the end of the minute. With the other students giving Raidyn a lecture, Ghost shakily walked back into the cockpit and sat back down into the cockpit seat of the gummi ship. Am I really cut out to be a Sentinel?

When Ghost immediately got up to set Raidyn straight, Gaku took over the controls temporary as a Co-Pilot. However, he felt unease and took a quick glance over his shoulder to witness Ghost placing his hand on the pistol grip. Utilizing the Player Pin, Gaku tapped into Ghost's mind to reassure Gaku's self that Ghost will not place any holes within Raidyn. Sure, Raidyn's an idiot, but he's a living being who can learn from his mistakes.

Hearing Ghost's thoughts of considering shooting, Gaku was about to imprint his thoughts into Ghost before hearing Toshi smacking and ranting on Raidyn. Gaku was surprised to see Toshi smack Raidyn and pull off a huge rant that persuaded Raidyn to realize his actions. Before thinking to himself, Gaku deactivated his Player Pin to ensure Ghost doesn't hear him, for Gaku knows Ghost should be somewhat satisfied. That took guts. I know she's a shy person by observing this group back at the Academy. Gaku thought. At least that moron realized his actions. I was literally gonna punch this guy and tell him off, but Toshi took care of that.

"Don't pull off any more stupid stunts. Start using your brain next time." Gaku yelled at Raidyn from the cockpit room. Gaku hears Ghost returning to the Pilot's seat, but he has yet to take control of the ship. He's thinking about what his consequences would be if he continued through to shoot. Gaku thought as he let out his breath. Not only that, something else is bothering him. I believe he is one of the more experienced pilots in our group. He will wreck this ship if his mind is not clear. Gaku groaned. Do I have to do everything?

"Oi." Gaku called out to Ghost. "You alright? You seem tense, and you haven't took control of the ship yet."

Somewhat in a trance, Ghost stared blankly at the controls aboard the Highwind as the full scope of his intentions dawned on him. The Sentinel-in-training was breathing rather shallowly as his lips quivered; his hands were shakily resting on the joystick once again. The student was just sitting there motionless, and it was now that he had a flashback to a time when he was being awarded the Arrow-Rifle as a sign of his promotion. Instructor Striker's soothing voice echoed in his head as the flashback started to become more vivid.

Remember: This weapon, in the hands of a skilled individual, can off keyblade wielders like a hot knife through butter. Ghost, the training you went through to earn your rifle was not only to hone your skill with this weapon, but to teach you a core values that you must exercise if you want to earn your sigil: Humility, discipline, and restraint. With this weapon comes great responsibility, Ghost, but it looks like you rightfully earned it.

"Oi." Gaku's voice roused the entranced student back into the realm of reality. "You alright? You seem tense, and you haven't took control of the ship yet."

Ghost stared blankly at the headphone'd student for a moment. "Uh... Yeah," he whispered back, "Just... remembering some stuff, that's all." Taking a deep breath, Ghost once again rested his hands on the controls of the Highwind, ready to take command once they arrived to the world of Shibuya.

Meanwhile... On the world of Shibuya

A pale, athletic looking boy with short white hair was looking down at his own tactical pad that was strapped around his left forearm. His cool green eyes quickly read the golden text that was scrolling across the small screen, and after reading the message, sighed heavily. "Look sharp boys," he gruffly addressed, "we've being reunited with ol' Nate really soon."

"Say what now, Spectre?" a silver haired, equally pale boy known as Spirit asked back. "Are we really gonna see him again? I thought he was on a mission?" His calming blue eyes looked worried at the sudden news. "What's going on?"

"A change in current plans."

"Has Striker gone rouge?!" the third boy exclaimed, not exactly liking the fact that their vacation time was being cut short. "I haven't started my shopping spree yet!"

"Then this is a blessing!" Spirit giggled, "I swear, Shadow, you're like a girl when it comes to shopping. How the hell do you take 2 hours to pick out a new shirt?"

"Well it's gotta-"

"Boys," Spectre interrupted, "We gotta move. I'll have to debrief the squad once Nate arrives."

Gaku narrowed his eyes in disbelief as he heard Ghost's response. Yeah right. Something's biting you. But I don't wanna probe too far. Gaku thought. "All right. Controls are yours." Gaku stated as he relinquished his position to Ghost. "We should be arriving at Shibuya very soon. There is a little problem though. There is not much landscape except for a few parks to land this ship due to heavy urbanization of the world. Any ideas of how to land?

Raidyn / Toshi

Raidyn was glad to hear some of his classmates accept his apology, and it made him feel a little better about himself, enough for him to crack a small smile.

"I forgive you too, Raidyn..." Toshi said. "Just please be careful from now on."

"Heh... don't have to tell me twice. No problem," Raidyn said, flashing his best friend a thumbs up, to which Toshi couldn't help but smile at.

"So then... I guess we're moving to a new location," Toshi said, sitting back down next to Raidyn.

"Yeah... Hey, Indy, you know where we're going, right?" Raidyn asked Indy, trusting his knowledgable friend was up to speed with what was going on.

Gaku narrowed his eyes in disbelief as he heard Ghost's response. Yeah right. Something's biting you. But I don't wanna probe too far. Gaku thought. "All right. Controls are yours." [Highwind]

After being given back the controls, Ghost took a deep breath and slowly collected his thoughts. C'mon Ghost. Focus. You can wonder about this later. "We should be arriving at Shibuya very soon." the Sentinel-in-training heard Gaku inform, "There is a little problem though. There is not much landscape except for a few parks to land this ship due to heavy urbanization of the world. Any ideas of how to land?"

Ghost bit the inside of his lower lips as he started thinking of options. It was bad enough to hear that parking space was limited so to speak, but hearing that the best possible landing spots would be at ground level where people can easily access and possibly sabotage the ship was a little unnerving to him. Fortunately, his training with the Instructor on Sentinel specific actions might actually come in handy for this. "I can land this on the rooftops if need be," Ghost replied back, "it'll take us some time to get back up once we're done, but at least we don't have to worry about the world residents doing something stupid to the ship. But, if everyone here insists on easy access, I guess landing in a park shouldn't be too bad."

A little smile formed on the student's face. "Do me a favor and go ask the other students if they want the ship on a rooftop or in a park. We'll go with the majority vote."
