Why do people think "Knack" is a bad game?

Posted

I haven't beaten it yet, but so far, there isn't any reason to call it a horrible game. It's not a perfect game, but giving it a 5/10 or anything remotely close to that is completely baffling to me. The story is kinda cheesy, but this is just a simple game not meant to be too complex. It kinda reminds me of Crash Bandicoot, at least in atmosphere; gameplay is very simple yet fun, and the story is just there to keep the game going, but is still involving it it's own quirky way. It isn't perfect, but for a PS4 launch title it's not that bad.

I'm personally having a blast with it so far, and I'm definitely going to go back to get all of the collectables. If anyone else here has played this, I'm curious if you feel the same way.

probably cause its geared towards young kids, and the specs of the game is similar to the PS3.

Fool. It's not that it's bad. It's uncool.

Actually, from what I hear, it's way too hard. Like, unfair hard.

I don't get why people think this. It isn't a game where you can just mash the square button and win. If you try that with every fight, you will die every time. I have died a few times, but only because I was careless. You actually have to take your time and learn when to attack enemies.

People just hate Knack because it doesn't look as great as the other PS4 games that were shown. While Knack is a good launch title game, people want games that are more interesting and makes them want to buy a PS4 console emmediately.

Out of every launch title, though, I thought Knack was the most interesting. Everything else was just sports games, mindless shooters, or games that were already on the PS3. I suppose it's personal preference, but I don't get why they'd judge it so harshly because it isn;t "as good" as everything else. Hell, I'd go so far as to say it's the most original PS4 game so far.

Again, personal preference, I suppose.

I honestly think Knack is a good original launch title. People just judge it because of the graphics and the fact that the gameplay just looks too simple. Which is pretty sad because Knack has to be the most interesting PS4 title right now (at least until inFAMOUS: Second Son comes out).

It looks like the LittleBigPlanet of the PlayStation 4. Obviously they're two very different games, but it seems to mean that.

It just didn't look appealing to me, in going to be saving my money for a better game like Infamous Second Son!
