Posted March 22, 201411 yr When I originally played FINAL FANTASY X years ago I didn't notice this stuff, but now I have. FINAL FANTASY X deals with weapons such as guns, racism and sexuallity. Eg. Machina is only as bad as the user and how some of them are banned. And Wakka hating Al Bhed all his life, only to never realize Rikku was one of them.
March 22, 201411 yr Author I always noticed.. I wonder if some other FF games touches on these subjects IV and XII are loaded with Star Wars references. Lol.
March 22, 201411 yr IV and XII are loaded with Star Wars references. Lol. You clearly haven't play IX. There's some guy who apears at the last 2 minutes of the game out of nowhere, and he used yoda's fear leads to... lol And kuja use the "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen"
March 22, 201411 yr The entire series has been pretty good about asking those kinds of questions. Though some of them have been getting kind of insensitive lately. As for Star Wars, every game with Biggs and Wedge totally counts. Though IX is probably the most reference dense.
March 23, 201411 yr VII dealt with themes of loss and identity, and the idea of the lifestream was inspired by the fact that Sakaguchi lost his mother during the development of VII Almost all FF games deal with a specific theme(except for one new game released recently) But honestly,it's up to how the player see it as you can learn something from it Like the value of friendship, never give up even if the odds are against you, love, and some religious themes here and there. So,really FFX isn't the first FF game to deal with real life related stuff with it's theme
