The only thing I can think of that it relates to is sokaithe ending of kh2 where the door to light appears because HEART POWER! or the part where Kairi touches Namine''s hand and then light appears because LIGHT POWER!  Then Sora's heart does a thing and the keybalde is like ''Use me babe'' and the bridge appears.

Well... he didn't specifically say it was Kairi who made that light. He was just addressing the thin air that he's almost there.

Sokai confirmed!

Kinda makes me think of Roxas, Xion and Ven's heart in Sora personally since the rejoined as one, finding light within Sora or something

It was their hearts that made that bridge after Kairi touched Namine. The connection between the three of them and stuff.  The Keyblade appeared because of that. That's why he felt Kairi was there, his heart. 

 

For the same reason, after Sora reads Kairi's letter their hearts opened the door to light. Riku even lampshades it in the secret ending, after Sora gets out of the secret place and they are chilling, he asks where the door to light came from. Riku laughs and says ''This'' and point to Sora heart. Sora's Heart couldn't have done it alone though, otherwise we would see him doing that all the time. Kairi is a Princess of heart, so her heart is pure light and can open those kind of pathways. All princess of heart have those kind of powers. In the novel is lampshades it again, where it shows Kairi thinking of Sora on the islands, with mickey in the backround as they wait for them.

Thinking of Kairi because he was reading Kairi's letter.
