My readers want to know if you would consider having Japanese voiceovers as downloadable content.

That would be truly a quantity issue. There is so much data it would be impossible to download. Also, the lip synching has been changed, it’s completely optimized for English. Downloading or adding Japanese voiceovers wouldn’t quite work either.

Now the question is...why didn't FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 have Japanese voiceovers as DLC?

Or an even better question...

Who would even WANT to download a Japanese voiceover? Not like I'd understand it. Or is it the fact that people would be desperate enough to find some way to deal with the English voices?

Having Japanese DLC voice packs is very common these days. LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII has one.

Yeah, but I still don't see why anybody would actually pay to play the game in a different language, especially one that isn't their native language. I mean, I could definitely see it as free DLC, but I'm not gonna cough up money to add a language I'm not familiar with.

It's the same reason some people prefer subs, they just like hearing it in the language it was originally made in.

Yeah, it is a bit odd but it is very popular. I don't understand why either, but oh well.

This is exactly the same as "subs". Japanese voices with English text.

I just have no idea why you'd pay for it.

I got the LIGHTNING RETURNS one while it was free. Haha.
