It has been thirteen years since the final conflict between Cosmos and Chaos erupted.  Ever since the destruction of Chaos, a very fragile peace has followed.  But what awaits the world now, as a new threat beckons at its doorstep?  Will anyone be prepared for the arrival of Shinryu...?  Can the mighty dragon be stopped?  The fantasy begins now...

It's a cold and quiet summer evening, and the ocean waves gently crash on the shore.  The moon rides high and the town is ever peaceful, as people go about their daily night life.  Among the crowd walks a lone man, one that you could say, stands out from the crowd.  He seems quiet and stoic and he has clothing that would mark him as a solider.  His name is Lucius Sablewind.  The man always keeps to himself, closed from anyone who tries so much as to make contact with him.  He notices an inn nearby, and as he walks towards it, he sees the name of the inn up top.  "The Blazing Phoenix huh?" he says to himself.  With that, he enters the inn, and then he goes straight to the bartender and asks for a drink.  At the far end of the table, he sees a woman, no doubt a warrior, taking a drink herself.  He immediately took notice of the weapon she was wielding, and he stared at the weapon intently, wondering who could have forged it.

{Ernst & Rabiyu}The Huntress was very surprised when the dragon appeared."What is the meaning of this?" she asked. "Is this one of your traps!"Rabiyu turned to look at Ernst, who was already in a battle stance."This is no plan of us." He said. "Whatever that...thing's objective is, it has nothing to do with us."Ernst looked at Rabiyu and shrugged."Let's keep our talk for another time. Let's cooperate...for now."Rabiyu glared and pointed her bow at the dragon in the sky."It is necessary, but not pleasant."

Shinryu spread its majestic wings, overlooking the battlefield and observing its surroundings.  Then, no sooner than Shinryu roared, a violent earthquake ensued, and the sky blackened ever more, the winds blowing powerful gusts all around Shinryu.  All the while, Garland remained there, watching Shinryu.

"You meddlesome dragon...you have come between me and my prey..." Garland muttered to himself angrily as he held his Claymore tightly.

"Fool, we must depart now, or we shall be slaughtered here!" Exdeath yelled out to Garland as he teleported away.  After the manikins and monsters departed, Garland was the last to leave.

"Next time Cosmos...next time..." he said, giving one final glance to Cosmos, who was standing by her throne, as calm as ever.

Meanwhile, Cecil and the others were panicking.

"We have to get out of here, or otherwise, Shinryu will destroy us!" Rosa said, and with that, the Warriors Of Cosmos began their departure from Order's Sanctuary.  Then they noticed that the Goddess herself wasn't moving.

"Lady Cosmos, what is wrong?  Please, you must not linger here!" Cecil warned, but Cosmos simply turned around and smiled.

"Worry not, my faithful warriors.  I shall buy you all time, so get as far away from here as possible." she said, her eyes shining with determination, her power evident in her words.  Cecil knew it wasn't his place to argue, so he decided to fulfill Cosmos' wish.

"Then it shall be done, milady." Cecil said while bowing, and then, the Warriors Of Cosmos began their escape from Order's Sanctuary.

{Ernst & Rabiyu}Ernst watched as is...comrades...once again, he had to come up with a word for them, began the retreat."It seems that our time here is over. If you wish to live, you must leave this place quick"The young man turned around, and like he was never there, he vanished. Rabiyu was confused, but quickly went back to her friends, she arrived in time to listen the words of the Goddess of Harmony."Worry not, my faithful warriors.  I shall buy you all time, so get as far away from here as possible."The Huntress was about to attempt to argue, but Cecil spoke first."Then it shall be done, milady." He said. With one last look, Rabiyu bowed and followed her companions as they escape from Order's Sanctuary.

The gusts of wind became stronger, and the ground shook ever more violently.  Shinryu's power could be felt to the core, and all the Warriors Of Cosmos could do was escape with the time that Cosmos had bought them.  Cecil and Rosa ran ahead of everyone else, and soon after, they stumbled upon a few more of their allies.  The Warrior Of Light showed a flash of alarm as he saw his comrades running away from Order's Sanctuary.

"Cecil, what is wrong?  Did something happen?" the stoic warrior asked.

"Yes...Shinryu has arrived, and Cosmos decided to stay back and buy us time to escape..." Cecil answered grimly.

"So, she's risking her life for us..." said a spiky haired blonde warrior, who sported a blade as large as he was.  Cecil recognized the man.

"Cloud Strife.  Tell me, have you two had any luck finding any more of our comrades?" Cecil asked with a hopeful tone.

"No, no one in sight..." Cloud answered bluntly, and at that, everyone froze momentarily.

"This is not the time to linger, come, we must move!" Rosa said, making everyone snap out of it, and with that, they continued on their way.  They wanted to go back, but they knew that they couldn't go back.  It was too late to do anything now.  They all knew this.  Even the Descendants Of Chaos had retreated, so it was obvious this wasn't their doing.  So for now, all they could do was retreat.

{Rabiyu}It took Rabiyu a few more seconds to catch up with Cecil and Rosa, and when she did, more of their comrades were there. The first one that came into her vision range was the blonde haired man, thoughts and whispers from the spirits coming to her ears.Mako   Materia Shin-Ra Soldier   Lifestream   Advent   JenovaAfter recovering from the sudden intrusion, Rabiyu looked at the next warrior, she prepared herself for the coming flow of thoughts and whispers, but nothing came."Strange. I get nothing from him." She thought. "Is he special? Or at least different from the others?"Then came the voice of Rosa, making everyone snap out. With one last look behind her, Rabiyu reassumed her way."I pray for your safety, Cosmos."

When they made their way far enough, the Warriors Of Cosmos stopped to take a breather.  They were a ridiculously long distance away from Order's Sanctuary, so they should be safe, for now.  Cloud looked at the tired warriors and then looked towards Order's Sanctuary, and an immense explosion took place a few short seconds after.  A beautiful display of light shone before them, and before they knew it, the earthquakes had stopped, and the gusts of wind had died down.  Shinryu was gone.

"Is Cosmos...?" Rosa began to ask.

"Enough lingering around. We have to get a move on." Cloud said as he turned around and walked ahead of the party.

"But where do we go to now?" Cecil asked, as everyone looked at Cloud, who was gazing into the wilderness ahead of them.

"Simple.  We go look for our other friends.  They're all scattered, so we have to go find them and see what plan we can come up with." the stoic, buster sword wielding warrior explained.  The Warrior Of Light then walked towards him and stood beside him.

"Our friend is right.  We must look for our other comrades.  It shall be a long journey ahead, so we must be strong of heart." he said, and with that, everyone nodded.

The wilderness was quite and lifeless, and it seemed as if though Shinryu had sucked the life out of the entire land.  It was an eerie and ominous feeling, a feeling of solitude and despair.  The Warriors Of Cosmos pressed on.  Their journey would be long, but it was a journey they had to take.

{Rabiyu}As the Warriors of Harmony talked among themselves, Rabiyu was looking towards Order's Sanctuary."It's gone." She thought. "That feeling is gone."How strange was the sudden arrival of the mighty dragon, something about it made Rabiyu worry."It was not an enemy tactic, nor was it one of our own. So, who caused that?"She then slowly looked at her companions."We are scattered, but not by our enemy. We are at the mercy of whoever is playing this game."Many thoughts were passing through the Huntress's mind when she noticed that her friends began to move."Let's pray for Cosmos's safety."

As the brave warriors continued to walk, the Warrior Of Light walked towards Rabiyu and noticed her troubled expression.

"Excuse me, young lady, but you seem to be deep in thought.  Is something the matter?" he asked courteously.

The Huntress wasn't listening to her comrades talking, instead, she was thinking. It was until one of the others talked to her."Uh?" She said as she tilted her head. "Oh...it's nothing, Sir Knight. Do not trouble your mind with my worries."Rabiyu continue her path in silence for a few more seconds before talking once again."It's just that I have a lot on my mind." She said in a slightly annoyed tone. "I'm worried about Cosmos's safety. I want to know who is the one responsible for the dragon's attack, because it was obvious that the warriors of Chaos were as surprised as us by its appearance. I think there is someone else besides Harmony and Chaos in this fight."The Huntress turned her head towards the Warrior of Light and sighed."Do you have any idea of the identity of that mysterious force?"

The Warrior of Light pondered at Rabiyu's question, and he closed his eyes, deep in thought, trying to come up with an answer, but there was nothing to come up with, so he just shook his head and walked onward.

"I apologize.  I fear that I do not know what other force may be behind this.  All I know for sure is that Shinryu is a mighty foe that does not give much thought on its prey.  It attacks us and our foes alike.  The very nature of that creature is troublesome.  All the more reason to find our missing allies as soon as possible." the warrior said, as he looked at the surrounding environment.

"Come on guys, don't fall behind." Cloud said up ahead, and the warriors kept walking.

(I must apologize for my falling behind. I shall endeavor to keep from repeating the performance.)

{Lumina}

The pink haired girl calling herself Serah seethed inside as she followed the Warriors of Cosmos. She had wanted in on that battle, but that wasn't the right time. This loss would just spur the Warriors on, and she wanted to be there when it happened.

"How are we going to find more people on our side?" Serah asked.

{Joker}

From a hill overlooking where Order's Sanctuary had been, Joker shimmered back into visibility, his sword unsheathed in one hand, covered in blood. He flicked the blade to rid his weapon of the monster blood, then ceremoniously whipped off the rest of the blood before sheathing the weapon.

"Is this just another part of your cycle?" Joker asked, a slight tone of bitterness in his voice. "Or is this the start of something new?"

No answer came to him in the empty wind. Scoffing lightly, he turned around and started walking to catch up with the others. Midstep, he turned invisible again.

At that, Cloud glanced over his shoulder at Serah and then continued onward.

"Simple.  We look for our lost friends.  Wherever they are, we'll find them.  And we better pray that we do before our enemy does, otherwise, we'll be in a deep fix." the buster sword wielding man explained, as he surveyed his surroundings.  He then slightly glanced over his shoulder again at Serah, only this time to make sure she didn't notice him watching her.  He had the suspicion that something wasn't right about her, but he'd withhold his judgement until he saw enough evidence that would expose her as an enemy.  Just then, Cloud saw Joker catching up to them.

"No sign of Cosmos or our friends?" he asked.

{Rabiyu}"It is to be expected, Sir Knight." Rabiyu answered. "Our only option is, like you said, find our missing allies."At the sound of Cloud's Voice, Rabiyu looked behind her. There she was, another one of the newcomers, the girl known as Serah."A complete mystery." She thought. "One that makes me feel uneasy."Once Joker was catching up to them, Cloud asked about the other warriors or their leader. Rabiyu looked at Joker, waiting for his answer.

  • 4 weeks later...

"Doesn't sound like much a plan." Serah murmured to herself.

Having decloaked away from the group as to not alarm them, Joker rejoined the group.

"None that I saw." He answered the SOLDIER. "We might check back later for any warriors of Cosmos who might go back, but for now, we should keep an eye on the agents of chaos. The personal connections shared between both groups will lead to personal conflicts. We might be able to track some of our fellows through their rivals."

Cloud then sighed and rested his Buster Sword on his shoulder.

"We'll have to keep moving forward.  We'll proceed with caution.  Like Joker said, we have to keep a sharp eye out for the agents of Chaos.  There's no telling when they'd appear again." he said as he started walking forward.  The others followed closely behind.  Cecil, who was by Rosa's side, felt uneasy.

"Why do I get the feeling that we're being watched?" he thought in his mind as he shifted his eyes to the surrounding environment.  Everything was silent.  Too silent.

{Rabiyu}"Find the enemy to find our friends."The young huntress looked at Joker then at Cloud."You're right, let us keep our eyes open in case of an enemy attack."Rabiyu's ears twitched, besides the footsteps and small talk of the group there was not another sound. It was far too silent. Not even a sign of spirits around."Something doesn't fell right. It's like the calm before the storm." She thought. The elf's eyes once again rested on Serah. The girl was a mystery, but she was a mystery herself. With no memory of her past Rabiyu had no way of knowing if she had the right to criticize her newest companion. Perhaps she had been a bad person back in her home world, only time would tell.

As the group continued onward, nothing happened, but they remained on guard at all times.  Then, all of a sudden,  a gust of wind forcefully made its way towards the group, and mere seconds after, manikins and monsters started to appear out of cracks in the sky!  The warriors then flanked together to face the hoard of enemies.

"We attack swiftly, and quickly!  Do not let them breach our defenses!" the Warrior Of Light said, and with that, they all charged into battle.

"Guess we have no other choice than to fight..." Cloud muttered, wielding his Buster Sword and bringing down dozens of enemies.

  • 2 weeks later...

Joker glanced up at the newly spawned enemies.

"Of course." He commented sourly as he summoned his katana, holding it by the scabbard in his left hand, with his right hand holding on to the weapon's hilt for a quick draw. "Keep together, and watch each other's backs. Getting split up will only make us easier targets."

With that, Joker cloaked again. He reappeared slicing through a manakin before he disappeared again to move on to a new target.

Serah, somewhat ify on how to proceed, started casting simple spells like Fire at the Manakins as she followed the Warriors of Cosmos into the fray.

Countless enemies continued to appear, and the warriors kept holding them back.  Cecil used his Dark Knight and Paladin powers while Rosa cast Haste and Protect on everyone.  The Warrior Of Light effortlessly took out dozens of enemies with his sword and shield, and Cloud used Sonic Blade to dash through the enemy lines. Slowly, but surely, the enemy's numbers began to dwindle.

"That's it, keep it going!" Cecil shouted as he took down a swarm of manikins.

"Victory is nearly ours!" the Warrior Of Light replied, as he looked around him for more enemies.

Rabiyu was using her daggers to quickly destroy the manikins."Don't let your guard down!" She yelled to her companions. "We need to keep fighting!"In a quick movement Rabiyu threw one of the daggers while getting her bown and arrows ready. One of the manikins casted a fireball in her direction, she then focused on said spell and a small dimensional distortion appeared, consuming the fireball."You need to do better than that to defeat me!"The young Huntress shoot an arrow towards the manikin hitting it right in the head, at the same moment another distortion opened, the fireball, now bigger, flew towards the manikins and upon contact it made a huge explosion, taking a few of the manikins around."I'm not at full strength to make a summoning again." She thought.

Cecil saw that Rabiyu was trying to do something, and so he ran over to her and stood by her side.  He glanced over his shoulder at her.

"It seems that you could use some help!  Here, I shall lend you my power!" he said as he lifted his sword up high, causing a beam of light to come down from the heavens, and then his body glowed with an enchanting aura, and then he passed on the power of his light to Rabiyu, to strengthen her power.  Just as a manikin was about to strike him down, Cloud came and put an end to it.

"Watch your back!" Cloud said as he smirked, and then he leaped high into the air and summoned five fireballs that surrounded him, and then he came crashing down, setting the surrounding enemies ablaze.

  • 1 month later...

Joker appeared beside Rabiyu, blocking an attack from manakin.

"I've got your back." He said, spinning his sheathed blade to dislodge some frost from the last attack. "Just keep going."

He disappeared again, reappearing near any enemy tring to attack Rabiyu has she powered up and striking them down.

The heat of battle increased in the blink of an eye!  Soon, the Warriors found themselves surrounded, but it wasn't until a strange beam of energy seeped out from under the ground that the tide was turned!  When the beam dissipated, out came Lucius, who looked quite irritated.

"I hate these stupid things..." he muttered to himself as he slayed a dozen of the manikins with the flick of his hand.  Apparently, he was using magic spells, and he didn't seem like he wanted to draw out his weapon.

"I didn't want to involve myself in this mess...yet here I am..." Lucius continued to mumble, and Cecil glanced at him and smiled.

"We all appreciate that sudden turn of the tide, stranger.  You are more than welcome to join us in our fight!" the noble night said.  Lucius sighed and rubbed his head.

"Hmph, might as well." he replied, as he prepared to cast another spell.

The young huntress nodded at Joker before using two fingers to point to the sky while using her other hand to put another two fingers in front of her mouth.

The Hallowed Father   The First Sire   Hallowed Father to all Eidolons who watches over his children from on high. His strength that has never known defeat. Answer my call

  Bahamut!

This time a bigger magic circle appeared, from it the upper half of the Eidolon came out.

"Bahamut! Mega Flare!"

The dragon king then opened its mouth to fire a beam of pure energy towards the manikins, paying close attention to not harm Rabiyu's comrades.

  • Author

Lucius bore witness to Bahamut's might, and he felt a slight tinge of fear come over him.

"That is one mighty powerful summon...that girl...she can summon that beast so easily?" he thought to himself as he stopped fighting, since Bahamut had destroyed all the manikins.
