Discussion topic and character reference

Note, when you're headed to a place I've more or less pointed you towards, end your post with ... and I'll take it from there, showing you where you've gone. The same applies for mysterious items such as boxes, and buttons you press, etc.

I reserve the right to kill any character at a moment's notice.

You don't know where are you, some of you can barely remember where you came from, but all you can tell now is that there are a group of people you don't know, don't recognize with you in a dark room. The room is circular, and has one exit notable by the bright light.

"Welcome friends." Said an ambient, detached voice. "You have found yourselves within my labyrinth. I've made many close relationships with those who have wandered in, but have grown lonely nevertheless. That's why I brought you. If you wish to return from where you came, seek me, and destroy me. If not, feel free to choose any of the labyrinth's clearings, checkpoints, whatever you'd like to call them, and settle down for an eternity or two. If you're okay with staying here, then you've actually just ruined my fun. So listen to this, find me, and defeat me, and I will leave behind the very item that will take you home, or grant you the omnipotence I possess. Stand up, get acquainted, and find your way around my impenetrable walls. Enjoy yourself, for your life may end at any moment, lest you're intent on taking mine."

One circular room, tinted red held the following: Locket Umora, Leah Mors, Dustin Iedon, Brooklyn Morz, Braxen Hartford, and Edward V. Nemo

A green room was the starting point for Derik Absolon, Allen TempesterSylar, Josh, and Igorum P. Scorpious

And a blue room hosted Shin Kuroma, Kaoru Nanami Shuuya, Silver Kuroi, and Nate Hoffman

Awaken, and make the acquaintance of your allies.

(No, Derik is up.)Derik grew impatient trembling and rocks, nothing he couldn't walk though or cleave in half, though. He walked to the exit of the green room. "Sorry if ya can't wake up or move to save your own skin." He muttered, hitting the top of the exit door.

"Okay then." Dust made it to his feet. "Braxen, and uhh...." he turned towards Locket. "You. I'm Dust." The heat of the room was already becoming evident. "But enough with introductions, we need to make it out of here. We should grab these unconscious folks too. We'll have time to talk later I'd guess." Dust walked over to the unconscious ones on the ground.. "Let's get outta here then!"  (I'm confused, is he awake? I don't see a place where you're posting as him.)

(He is up and about, and being ignored by everyone in his group...)

I tried to drag some of the members through the exit. "Hey man!" Remorseless...Whoever that other guy was...

"Sorry, but I don't help others who can't be bothered to wake up for a minute to save their skin." Derik yelled back. "They're probably gonna die anyway, but more painfully." Headded.

He added, continuing to walk away from the other guy. Be it if he needed to fight, his chances were the best of the group probably, anyway. His experience made him dangerous enough. He saw ... As he walked through.

I panted... I realized what just happened... I went into super speed! Body weight from the others were slowing me down... But... I felt it!

"My name is Silver. SIlver Kuroi."

"I believe we all heard the voice sir. I am Kaoru, if you did not pick that up, shall we go?"

Within the blue room, the walls also cracked, and water began gushing out. The are was flooding, and flooding fast. That exit was looking rather attractive.

<><><><><>

"We best be going."

"See you guys on the otherside..." she said to Silver and Ghost. The water wasnt so deep so she walked towards the exit.

Silver had already begun to run the moment the walls cracked and the water came rushing in.

"You can call me Ghost." The slightly disoriented teenager replied to everyone who was courteous enough to tell him their names.

As the walls cracked and started filling the room with water, Ghost saw the other people around him started making their way to the door. Curious about where the water was coming from while quickly realizing that there was only one way out, he decided to ask that question at a later time as he walked towards the door, thankful for the keyblade armor that he was wearing that basically sealed his body from the environment, save for his face since he wasn't wearing a helmet. He followed everyone as they headed to the door...

Outside of the blue room, once all it's inhabits had escaped, they found themselves on a beach, the exit behind the, having disappeared. A shiny gray rock stood near the shore. Sitting on the stone was a beautiful woman,wearing no clothes, her long blue hair modestly covering her chest, her lower half was that of a fish, colored an equally shining blue. She giggled. "It's sure been a while since I've had visitors! Do come, I'd like to ask you all some things."

"Okay then!" Dust nodded to Braxen and picked up the last remaining unconcious fellow on the floor. (Edward V. Nemo). "I've got this guy. Now we better move!"He began to move toward the exit and thoughts swirled in his head.

Why was he here?

Who were these people?

Did it have to do with his powers?

Too many questions; Dust hated being left in the dark.

(Is that the post that begins with "Red"? If so, you wanna put you character's name in the post so we can tell who you're writing as, given the multiple characters you have.)

(I'm pretty sure I used his name, just not at the start of the paragraph)(Edit: that's a first for me. I normally include my names...)Brooklyn didn't care that no one noticed him. He sent a portal to the door and opened one under everyone into the next area, which looked like... The appearance was intresting, but he didn't really care. He hoped everyone made it into the next room with him OK, that was the only thing that was important. "Everyone alright...?" Brooklyn asked.

Locket sighed. "I'm fine." She said. She looked at the unconscious ones and put a hand on the back of her head. She took a look around at the room. "Hm." She muttered. She looked at her weapon again and gripped one of the tendrils, losing herself in the questions that whirled around her head. Where was she? How dis she get here, and why? She shook her head to herself, grinning. if I have too, I'll fight. she thought.

Locket nodded at dust and grabbed Dustin and began to drag him towards the exit. "Hey!" She shouted to Brooklyn. "Can you grab him?" She jerked her head in Leah's direction. She reached the exit and panted, half from the horrid heat and half from dragging a person half way across the room. The heat was starting to get to her—she was feeling weaker and exhausted.

(I fired off portals into the next roomish area and got everyone out, Brooklyn has nobody powers)

(Ah, I'll fix my post.)

"Someone's a bit negative." A deep male voice echoed from behind Derik. Sylar stepped next to the teenager, and leaned against the guy. He had gotten up and left the room as soon as he was awake. Clearly a good idea considering the room was now falling apart. The only other person that was awake seemed to be struggling to carry the others out of the room. Sylar rolled his eyes, and lifted his hand, then drew it closer to himself, levitating and dragging the unconscious bodies toward him. He had no problem with letting them die, except then he would get no ability at all, short term or permanent. And Sylar hated not getting anything from death.

~~~Leah jumped out of Braxen's arms, and landed next to Brooklyn. She merely grunted in response to Brooklyn's question, before standing to her full height, and examining the room they were in. Leah refused to speak. No reason to. Besides, she didn't really want to hear how her voice sounded after years of silence. She gripped her spear, and checked to make sure her revolver was fully loaded. She had no idea how she got here, and did not really care. No zoms, that was a plus. Still as much danger, that was a negative. The Lost Girl would just have to be careful, cautious, and prudent. Recklessness would get you killed in a moment's notice where she came from. So could emotion. So could a lot of things. Leah took another deep breath, and stayed light on her toes, in case anything came at her.
(Um, Braxen picked up Leah while she was still unconscious in order to get her out of the room so she didn't roast to death. She's still in Braxen's arms.)
(Assuming everyone's escaped their starting points. If not, too bad, we're moving on.)
The red group was not spared of the heat, as they now found themselves on a hot rocky surface. If they looked up, they could still see no exit, but looking over their hot cliff, they could see an expansive pool of magma. A single large bubbles surfaced, then stirred. Then, a gluttonous being appeared. A fat, barely humanoid being composed if churning magma—a few boulders scattered here and there. It's present took up most of the magma pool. "Challengers!" It groaned. "Come closer: come to the cliffs edge—but do not fall. I have an inquiry..."
The green group found themselves in a slightly hilly, but very grassy area. Their exit had disappeared and all that could be easily made out was tall, well aged, oddly shaped tree. "Oh?" An short old man, peeked out from behind the trunk of the large tree. His white beard was long, with leaved branches sticking out in places, his hair was even worse, almost completely branches. His tattered clothes appeared completely natural and everything about him looked... Green. "Oh! Children! Come, come. Come, come, children, you have questions that need answering."
Derik's Demon Reign activated in its second form and pushed Sylar off of Derik's back. "Think you have a right to use me as a post? I'm probably the only reason you get an options of life or death." Derik replied. He once had tried to destroy existence, then he saved it numerous times from destruction, even if he is below a percent of his actual strength. He didn't need disrespectful bastards on him like some fake ghetto kid trying to look cool. He looked at the green-haired old man. "What? Do you want to give me some candy and get into your van, mister?" Derik replied in the most innocent-sounding wave of sarcasm he ever gave off. He summoned his Angel Reign, only first form, it had the greatest amount of time to use it of the three he had. He always could access the twelfth form of any of his Reigns, but if he did so with Grey, he would die immediately after use; it was too much on his body as it was then, so it isn't the best option for him.
Brooklyn looked at the girl who stood up. "Hm. She doesn't seem all to.. Cheery..." He thought, standing up himself.Brooklyn then looked to the magma man. "What about soaring?" He asked, beginning to levitate. Temporary flight was among his ability's now as well, apparently, like the portals. "I guess after coming here I received a boost in my ability's, or at least more control over my Void energy..." He thought, looking around. Flight was a big new ability with many ways to use it for fun so naturally, he had fun with it. He floated over to the edge and over it, then back over the ledge. He repeated this a few times, then landed softly by the edge.
"Thanks mister-" I started to say before looking at the man. His very presence was twisted, failing to hide in a mask that it knew if never needed. On the other hand... He had telekenisis... I copied his poise and gaze... I kinda sorta remember my power... To copy others... That's right! I can! I focused... And only a pebble lifted... It's a start... I looked at the other man who just talked to us. "Yea...that would be great." I said, and continued to follow.
The Red Glutton roared, spitting lava, surrounding the group with his deadly saliva. "Smug man who floats." He bellowed. Leaning toward Derik, his heat radiating off of his liquid skin. "Consult your allies and answer these questions. There are two others besides me. An old man of tree, and a woman of sea. If the three of us, which is the most dangerous, the most grotesque, and the most intelligent?"
If the three of us, which is the most dangerous, the most grotesque, and the most intelligent?"
"Simple. I need no consultation. You are the most intelligent, for you call to me a riddle of intelligence. The being of woman water would be grotesque, as the sea is seemingly fair and beautiful, but is truly harsh and ugly, like what most men think of them, and the old man of the wood would be the most dangerous, as wood is part of nature and nature is more powerful than all of the others. Nature controls the lands, the seas, fire and water, as well as earth and air." Brooklyn replied. He hoped that it would be the right answer.
Locket hopped out of the way of a small magma droplet. She stared at the large magma creature with wide eyes, gripping her spear tightly—even though she knew the metal and wood would be of no use to this monster. She shivered slightly as she tried not to imagine herself being melted like metal in a blacksmith shop. Though, if there were things beyond this point that were more dangerous and horrifying, then that wouldn't be such a bad idea. But, being her, she would much rather see what was beyond the magma and rocks.
(Wait I was on crack and forgot the person I was using this morning oops editing)
(Wait wait wait wait wait. I was on a crackload of crack since 08. Brooklyn is in red and Derik in green... *Facedesk* What do we do?)
The woods would burn effectively, and so would a mossy old man with branches everywhere.
And others have played off of it, sire, you played off of my blunder...)
After walking through the door, Ghost sighed in awe at the sights of the pristine, heavenly beach as he took a deep breath of the coastal air. No longer in imminent danger, he slowly turned around to see just what exactly they were all in at the beginning, but was stunned to see that the door that they had just walked through a moment ago was no where to be seen.
It just gets weirder. No one told me that Guardian Deployments would be this... Odd. Actually, AM I deployed? If so, this is getting fun! The sound of the woman's voice caught his attention as he slowly turned around. He would have blushed at the sight of the blue haired mermaid, but he's seen better sights in his girlfriends house. Man, Rei is gonna kill me once I tell her about this.
"It's sure been a while since I've had visitors! Do come, I'd like to ask you all some things."
Ghost merely stood there and looked at the others, hoping that someone other than him would interact with the girl. If movies and books are anything to go by... Just don't be the first to interact with her and I'll live. Hopefully...
A...mermaid?
Silver cocked his head. After escaping the flooded room, the four of them found themselves on a sandy, beautiful beach. Silver quickly turned around, but found no trace of the room they were once in. No door. No large building behind them. Just empty space and the expanse of the land behind them. He turned back around, facing the mermaid again. She wanted them to come closer and speak to her.
"I don't...trust this." Silver murmured. It was possible this being was part of a trap. A Siren, perhaps--a demon-mermaid that ensnared her victims with songs so she could devour them. Perhaps Silver was being too paranoid, but one couldn't be too careful.
