The Undertaker's Streak Is Dead! :'(

Posted

Yes, my dear friends.  Just as the title suggests, last night I bore witness to the death of one of the most amazing streaks in the history of sports entertainment.  The Undertaker lost his match against Brock Lesnar last night, and well, when the referee counted to 3,(I didn't even hear him count to 3...)my heart and soul felt drained away.  I couldn't believe what had just happened.  Me, Jonathan, Dennys, and everyone else in the room felt dumbstruck.  Immediately afterwords I screamed and kicked the ground and cursed Barf Lesnar to death!  I mean seriously, out of all the amazing wrestling legends that have never defeated him, this piece of barf comes and takes away the streak!?  And he's not even a regular superstar, he's a frickin part timer!  Odds are that after a week or two has passed, he'll go back to UFC and then what!?  Well yeah, I raged to no end last night.  Today I still can't believe the streak has ended.  We all know that streaks must end, but I would have expected someone else, I don't know, someone who's actually constant in the business, to have beaten the streak.  Ugh...

Even though the streak has ended, Undertaker still has my utmost respect, because not only did he have the most impressive streak in sports entertainment, but he's one of the only wrestlers of the olden days that continually pushed the boundaries and lasted as long as he did.  We will never forget you Deadman. Your amazing feats and your incredible matches will always be engraved in our hearts.  You will always be remembered, and there will never be a superstar like you again.  Undertaker will be the one and only Deadman of the WWE, and he'll sure as hell be a hall of famer, of that much I'm sure!  Well, for those who are wrestling fans here on KH13, let's give Undertaker one last hurrah! :')  After all he's done, he deserves the praise and ovation!  *applauds.*  Thank you for everything you've done for WWE Undertaker.  WWE will never be the same again! :

Yeah I was just as shocked as you were when I watched the pay per view last night. It's still hard to believe that Taker's streak is over. It's just not right man. :/ I mean, It had to end eventually. But 21-1... and to Brock Lesnar... as Ron Simmons would say: "................ DAMN!"

Dude, that's how I reacted!  I wish someone would have recorded my reaction, I was pissed to the point that I was screaming and kicking and cursing Barf Lesnar to death!  Sure, I know the streak would end, but why at the hands of Lesnar???  He didn't deserve such an honor!  The End Of An Era match in Wrestlemania 28 would have been a great match for Taker to retire, since it said End Of An Era, but nooo, they just had to give the match to frickin Barf Lesnar!!! *flips table in rage.* >.<

Geez, take it easy. Wasn't Lesnar's fault that he got booked to take down Taker. Then again, a lot of people are speculating that the win was a shoot and that Taker was supposed to win with 22-0 but eh, I think its baloney. As long as Lesnar doesn't leave too soon again and carries on with this so it doesn't end up being a big nothing, I think we can manage. Besides... Bryan VS Lesnar. That might be in the future.

True that. Still though, the crowd's reaction to Taker's loss was priceless.  They reflected my own shocked reaction.  And you know, Daniel Bryan really did good last night.  He deserved to get the championships after having been screwed around by Triple H and the authority.  At least Bryan pulled through. :')

At this point I have say I accept it Taker has more then earned the right to pick his succesor. With that being said I trust Taker knew what he was doing even if I'm not overly happy with Lesnar as the streak buster.

That's true.  Wow man, time flies.  WWE won't be the same without Undertaker and without the other old wrestlers.  I mean seriously, when you say Wrestlemania, people's first thoughts are the streak.  But now that it's broken, a lot of the significance of Wrestlemania in fans will fade away.  But money wise, Wrestlemania will always be a juggernaut pay-per-view.

It will be really interesting to see the landscape of WM 31 with no Streak Match. I think at this point the WWE has no choice but to push new stars especially the ones they sent to mid card hell lol.

Yeah.  We all knew that the old superstars wouldn't last forever.  Let's just hope this next generation proves to be as good, if not better, than the previous generation.  Only time will tell.  But as far as watching WWE goes, I probably won't watch it again unless a match of significant importance is to be held at a Wrestlemania.  Other than that, I don't think I can see myself watching WWE again. :/

Screw Lesnar.

Just screw him >.<

Never liked him really, he's like The Rock, only not likable xD

I know right? D:  Sadly, Brock was the one to end the streak. But, Undertaker gave us so many memorable moments and epic matches, he deserves a standing ovation for having one of the most illustrious streaks and careers in sports entertainment.  The Undertaker will live on forever! :D

I know I haven't watch WWE for a while, but I have to say something on this.  Never would have thought about the streak ending.  When one of my brothers told me about this a couple of days ago, I was like:  "............WHAT?!"

I understand the Undertaker comes on once a year per WrestleMania, has been in the business for a long time, and won't be wrestling forever.  Part of me knew that the streak wouldn't last for a lifetime, but another part hoped it'd stay for a little longer.  But of all people to beat it, it's Brock Lesnar?  Come on!!  Sure there are other guys that would've been worse to do it, but still.  It would have been 100 times better to finally let Triple H or Shawn Micheals, the two guys who've been taking on the Undertaker, more than anyone else, and going after the streak FOR YEARS, to be the one who breaks it  (feel free to correct me on anything).  Maybe I don't understand that much about business, but hey, there's nothing I can do about it.

Dude, that is so true.  Out of all the wrestlers that took on the Undertaker, I would have preferred it greatly if Shawn or Triple H had been the ones to end the streak. But, Undertaker himself chose Lesnar to be the one to end the streak, so if it was his choice, then we cannot do anything but respect his decision.  But still man, it just stings.  I really wish someone else would have beaten the Deadman.  But, what's done is done, there can be no change to the past. But at least Undertaker gave us spectacular fights and many years of awesomeness, so we have to give him credit for that.

On a side note, I too do not watch WWE anymore, but when I heard Undertaker was back, I had to watch WM30.  I never missed Undertaker's fights, and I'm glad I was able to witness what will apparently be his final match.  I'm not happy with the result, but at least I bore witness to it. :)

Hm.  Well, if it was the Undertaker's decision to face Brock Lesnar, then I'll accept and respect it. >.< Yeah, it's true there's nothing can be done about it.  What happened happened. Wish I could've seen it live.
