I'll admit something about the Wii U's 2014

Posted

Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros for Wii U are definitely games to be excited about and are the type of games that would draw in someone like me who doesn't usually play Nintendo games. I'll settle for the 3DS versions of Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros but they're definitely titles Nintendo fans should be excited about.

Yeah, but 3DS has 7 which is great fun.

Sticking with Mario Kart 7 and Smash Bros 3DS is the best option you can do but at the same time they are just lesser titles in comparison to their bigger brother counterparts.

Personally I found Mario Kart 7 to be a disappointing game but that's because I preferred the previous title (Wii) over it, I can get past the gimmicks introduced in MK7 that are back for MK8 but that's really only because the game looks fantastic even with them. I understand why a lot of people find the game fun (and believe me I've played so many hours on the game) but there are certain gameplay aspects that annoy me in it.

As for Smash, it's obvious the definitive version will be the Wii U version but the 3DS game looks like a lot of fun, I wonder if they'll allow for multiplayer via Download Play though...

2014 should be a good year for the Wii U and I really hope people appreciate the system a bit better, I know myself there are a number of games I want for it this year alone. Hopefully Nintendo do good at E3 too! :D

I never played the Wii version so I can't compare. Of course, the console version is always going to be superior. Being able to play it on your TV and in HD is great.

Console hating will always occur, it's just the way some people are.

Well Mario KArt 8 is million times better than Mario Kart 7 so far...

Though if you don't have money for a Wii U,you can ask for it as a christmas present through your wishlist...but that's just my suggestion feel free to ignore it

It's not about money, simply I still wouldn't buy a console for just two games plus I've already got four devices connected to my TV via HDMI and I plan on getting a PS4 late next year.

The Wii version was great fun in multiplayer and easily had the best online for any Wii game, imo.

Yep, sadly the gaming community nowadays is like that.

Personally, I think the 3DS Smash Bros. is still going to be equal.

Okay. Maybe not.

Well, I don't really mind if it isn't of equal quality. The 3DS version will essentially still be a Smash experience on the go and if it is good at that then I'll be more than happy. The only reason I think the Wii U version will be the definitive version is because it will be the one that you can play on a big tv with friends and just kick back and have a blast with just like the previous games were. The only sad part is the 3DS version comes out before the Wii U version :l

I'll have actully get one this month.
