It's admittedly a beautiful looking game for the Nintendo 3DS, however aside from that it's not all that appealing to me. From what I've seen the story isn't all that interesting and the gameplay is a lot like FINAL FANTASY III's and I'm not a big fan of it's gameplay either.

I guess I'll skip this game, no way I'm paying $60 for this. Maybe when it's marked down but that's all.

well it is interesting (personal bias ofc), never really invested a lot of my time in ff3 (5 hrs then gave up) so that was never a problem for me.

$60? isnt it like $39.99

imo its a beautiful game, i was more interested on the character's own development rather than the whole story behind the final boss. it was still good i guess, but the boss was "meh" for me

Australia.

I bought it...though haven't started it yet...I want to though

You're judging the story from a demo? The game had so much more to offer than what the demo showed us.

Oh well, you're missing out on one of Square Enix's best games in recent years but whatever your loss. The game was absolutely brilliant.

The demo was actually a sidestory, the main game's is different from what I've heard. I don't have the full game yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Also, the battle system is more similar to FFV than FFIII, honestly. The job system was more in-depth than FFIII's.

At least you took the time out of your busy schedule to download the demo and make a thread giving us your impressions.

I've got FINAL FANTASY II-IX including sequels and prequels to play. The last thing I need is another JRPG like that.

I feel the Brave/ Default combat system makes it much more enjoyable to play, and I found the story to be quite interesting, mainly because of great character development and interactions.
