If it's true: What do you think Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare will be about?

Posted

*NOTE: The only Legend of Zelda games I've ever played was Link's Awakening and Four Swords Anniversary*

I was thinking that Link might have to find the Shadow Tri-Force and it's used to summon a creature named Nightmare or a shard from the Nightmare's temple to prevent it from rising. Also, I think that Nightmare is an incarnation of Demise and ancestor of Ganon. A key weapon to the game might be a lantern to brighten up Nightmare.

There's going to be a magic sword.

I totally called it.

Other than that, I don't even know where to start speculating.

I expect something along the lines of Twilight Princess in terms of looks. As for story and gameplay, I have no clue, but if other Zelda games are any indication, we're in for another classic adventure in Hyrule. :)

If it turns out to be true, I expect it to be related to the Nightmare from Link's Awakening. I haven't really thought on how the story could play out, but the big sidequest of the game, will probably Link helping people get rid of their nightmares, caused by the fallen shard of the Nightmare beast. The way of cleansing and finding the nightmares, would be by utilizing the Gamepad as a the lens of truth or something, to see the nightmares, and then perform a minigame or some kind of sequence, to eliminate the nightmare, and collect a nightmare shard.

I'm just excited to see the new artstyle Aonuma has chosen for the title. It's one we've never seen before apparently.

Is it for Wii U only or 3DS?

It's the home console title for Wii U. Why?

I just expect graphics like the ones shown in the tech demo. Or something with a cartoonish style like the Wind Waker (I know it is less probably)

To me I think that zeldaU's graphics is going to be a mix of the graphics in Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess.

maybe because it was the first time I heard of it so I had no idea what system it was for.

Ah, it's been news for a couple years, though we still dunno the official title. Aonuma almost showed it off E3 2013.

oh okay! Thanks!

Yeah, we'll be seeing much more this year than we would have last year. I'm expecting a Spring 2015 release if not Winter/Holiday 2014. Zelda would be very nice sooner than later sales wise, but its quality of story and characters and gameplay must be deemed satisfactory first.

I wouldn't mind if zeldaU looked like the wind waker again.
