Maleficent turns GOOD AGAIN IN THIS MOVIE. Mind-fukc!!! The plot is that a boy Maleficent met as they were children became her boyfriend for about ten years. Maleficent was actually kind-hearted. He later on betrays her and cuts her wings off to become king and to make the previous king think he killed her. She puts the curse on his daughter saying NO power on Earth can lift the curse, besides a True Love's Kiss. And she slowly FALLS IN LOVE with Aurora as time progresses because she creeped around her for 16 years lol. The night before she was cursed to prick her finger, Maleficent tried magical chants to lift the curse (with aurora asleep) starting to become good again. It was a pretty damn cool scene. Voices whispered in her head repeating her words "...No power...on Earth...can break..."

 

Aurora pricks her finger and Maleficent captures the prince that liked Aurora and the 3 small fairies urged him on to kiss her but it didn't work. Maleficent visits Aurora alone and literally cries and said to her she didn't expect forgiveness but promised no harm would come to her. Maleficent kisses her lightly on the forehead and whimpered saying she would never see her smile again. Aurora wakes up and it proved Maleficent's love for her, and Maleficent didn't believe in a true love kiss, originally tricking them thinking it would be impossible. 

 

And her pet CROW is the dragon which is disappointing...-_- oh well it was...interesting................

The book was exactly like my description where Maleficent becomes good again and she was the one who kisses Aurora to wake her? 

 

I don't think this adaptation of Sleeping Beauty ever existed before....

This is exactly why I don't want to see the movie. T.T Sounds like they ruined the story. I, being a Disney purist, will just stay home and watch the REAL Movie(Sleeping Beauty).

I support it, though. They didn't want to make the exact same movie all over again and I don't blame them. Better to try something different creatively, so long as it works, which it seems to have done. Can't wait to see if Cinderella is any good.

LOL it's weird because Disney made it official that this is now the REAL canon. O_O

 

In the beginning/end it says something like "and this is what really happened instead of the rumors you might have heard". x D

I got it last month. It came out pretty fast.
